On April 9, 2020 GM Golf released a video from Pursell Farms titled “The Greatest Match Of GM GOLF History | 9 Holes | 2v2 Scramble” in which Parker Pursell hit an 8 iron from 166 yards that allegedly went in the hole. In this video we review the footage and take a closer look at whether the ball actually “went in” even though it finished a few inches from the hole. The upside down cups, noodles, and other cautionary measures courses are taking to keep golf safe has put many of us golfers in a strange position regarding how to decide when a shot counts as having gone in the hole. Upon watching the replay and listening to Garrett’s explanation, what do you think? Was it an albatross? Furthermore, where would this shot rank in the history of best youtube golf shots if it is conceded that this was an albatross?
