It’s like watching a machine. It seems so easy to do but obviously it’s nearly impossible to duplicate. The only thing I can repeat successfully in golf is a 3 inch putt.
Absolutely efficient to the max. Notice…..Hogan usually did things for a reason. That cigarette holder is a swing key, he cocks his head in pre set and swings his shoulders under the cigarette. He also always has something in his front pocket, likely for another swing thought.
I was stunned when I watched the Shell's Wonderful World of Golf featuring Sam Snead and Mr. Hogan. I don't think Ben missed a fairway or a green. Ben was in the middle of almost every fairway.
One thing that stands out to me watching these as Ben Hogan is not tucking his elbows in like he talked about in the five modern fundamentals, both of his arms actually look like they’re bowed out a little bit out ar address
If I said it once; I said it a thousand times it is all in twitch of the alternating hip sockets. The secret of a perfect golf swing that even with congested heart failure my swing is now near flawless. First chance I have I am going to get a friend to video tape my new swing and post it on YouTube. It will look like I am going OTT; but in reality I am not. Exactly as Tom Watson said in his video on OTT. Cheers
Just straight up tachyon slapping. Fibbionacci baby. Think everything in reverse. Fold it. No need for the back swing it's just the way most people do it. Shouldn't be thinking about it. It's just another follow through. The center of the ball is tilted when you come in at an angle, remember that. The equator is not 90 degrees off the ground, It is more like 100 degrees from the angle of the swing plane. That'll help you if you're searching for the mystical thing. Release, the club up, then just take the ride. It should feel like it's happening to you, ultimately.
What we have to remember about Hogan is his body was as mobile as a break dancer. Those YouTube videos where you see people moving their bodies in ways that you couldn’t dream like a Michael Jackson. It’s clear to see Hogan had the same thing….
Yes, and there’s a very good reason not one PROFESSIONAL golfer, man or woman, swings like him or Mickey Wright. Because they’re not dumb enough to try or worry about it.
Seve’s note to amateurs: Always be practicing and always be taking lessons.
You think TW studied laser beam bombing Bryson and learned some stuff from his driving? I’ll bet. But he knows what to look for and what to do with it. Open your wallets, get fit, hire a PGA instructor and grind.
Hogan had the best grip of all time. Study his grip in detail. This was the building block of his great swing, and unbelievable accuracy. His grip is perfect.

Could watch his swing for hours.

Peter Thomson, an Aussie 5 time British Open winner; who btw; I was lucky to interview came close.
Greatest swing of all time

It’s telling how some of the positions designed in his five lessons book don’t apply to his swing, which is fluid perfection.

It's incredible that Moe Norman still doesn't get mentioned when talking about great golf swings. Puzzling because he was probably the best ever.

Ah those were the days … players seeking reward for doing it right not forgiveness for doing it wrong … oh well, that’s progress 😉
Small dudes swing.
So natural .
So smooooth…
He’s the best ever, in my opinion.
Dude is just a golf swing and how dare you elevate him to Bruce lee status
That a little over the top with the praise bro
Does it appear that he has a strong grip?
