  1. A most enjoyable video. Played very nicely and just no luck on the greens. Give me Peter Finch any day. A nice man. No BS talk or other laddish nonsense so common with others on YouTube. I have played Portmarnock many times over the years and it certainly looks in gorgeous condition and a great test of golf. Well done! Looking forward to the next one.

  2. Great video Pete. Well played. I am booked to play there in September so this was a welcome taster. Thanks

  3. Love all the content and collabs lately!
How about giving away one of these fine putters when you have the LAB in the bag? :p

  4. That ā€˜stand alone’ tree was not a ā€œPalmā€ tree, but a NewZealand ā€˜Cabbage’ tree Peter!

  5. love these rounds of golf, but! would be loads beter if you play with someone like the golff pro who runs the course? and have a little wager? 100 to charity who ever loses or a meal? or they have to buy a driver for one of the viewers? and they have to watch the video and at some point you give out a phrase on a hole and use that word to enter by email to win the club?

  6. Given its rated 77.1 off the blues I think you can be very happy with a 78 on first time playing it?

  7. Everything about your channels are completely right, right now. Appreciate it alot!

  8. Beautiful course. Well done in such conditions Peter. Some courses are almost unplayable in high winds. Have you played Machrihanish (Old) the original
often quoted as the best opening hole in GB. I am sure you would enjoy it. My Grandfather and Uncle were Golf Pros there.

  9. Great video Peter. Having played nearly all the great links whilst Portmarnock lots of times, the reason it is right up there is that the course is very fair to play but difficult to score upon.
PS. Peter: a very good golf shot is NOT disturbed by the wind.

  10. Never a good result on the greens when your shoulders are open, great video, course looks fantastic.

  11. As a Dub myself, I am lucky enough to play here, I just wanted to say thank you for covering the east coast of our country. Don't get me wrong, the west is the crown of the jewel, but over time and with foreigners, especially the east coast doesn't get the rep it should also get. I am still gutted to miss seeing you at my club, Tulfarris, last year!

Hopefully, next time you're out this way, I'll get yourself to The Island, Royal Dublin. Maybe even Howth or Corballis for a quirkier experience.

  12. It’s by far the best course in Ireland, but as Harrington has said to you, if you stop moaning on a golf course you be a better golfer.

  13. Not familiar with this gold, silver, bronze system. Do they actually give you a medal or plaque?

  14. Played Portmarnock a couple of times and honestly have to say I feel its overrated. Berhard Langer won the Irish open there with a score of 19 under par so how difficult can it really be. Please visit the European club if you want to experience true magnificence

  15. Man love your videos but I gotta ask as a American is it ever warm when you play over in Ireland or Europe in general as you always looks so cold no matter where your playing over there ……my back gets tight just watching these
