Today, Ian and Mikey are in California and joined by Eric Stubben, R&D Manager of Putters to learn about Odyssey’s all new zero torque putters. After lie angle balanced and zero torque putters have become one of the hottest trends in putting, Odyssey has now joined the party using their Tour-proven shapes with an Ai-ONE Insert.
Let’s see how the new Odyssey’s stack up to the already critically acclaimed L.A.B. Golf Putters.

Mikey is putting machine!
If L.A.B had made a putter that was as good looking as these they'd be stratospheric by now!
Still isn’t Lie Angle Balanced though. It twists in the revealer. Not a LAB. Not customisable to your stroke. Not taking my dollars.
The more new models that are in this ”low torque” category the more I am siding with LAB. Nobody can replicate what LAB does and therefore I feel like it’s defeating the purpose of the design they are creating and now selling. On the other hand I like that they Odyssey aren’t directly trying to compete with LAB but instead offer a option that looks better behind the ball but still providing some similar feels to what LAB has, just obviously not the the extent of what a LAB can . I know people aren’t a fan of the revealer and tech that LAB claims in all of their posts, videos, ads…. But to me, that is where the value of the brand is and where they really set themselves apart from every other equipment brand.
I think a few people will get these but I can’t imagine its enough to continue to put out new models every 1-2 years compared to the rest of the “standard” lineup.
Since when has Ryan Reynolds worked for Callaway ? 😂 Good info in this vid 👍
All this tech just to push a ball. Just get good sucka.
These are cool, happy with my DF3
These look incredible. Can’t wait until I can try them. And at the price point compared to the others then these will be a great seller
How do the numbers compare with these to the Allen and Lab?
I'm playing the 5K #7 double bend right now, and it's super stable and aims like a laser pointer for me. I'm definitely going to try the new square to square #7.
So ugly 🤢
Other than the ultra inflated price tags, I would love to have one.
If you’re talking or wanting stable you have only one brand to think about …….Cobra. ( sorry )
Could we see the jailbird s2s against the jailbird cruiser? Please?
For those golfers who don’t forward press their putters would calaway make one withe no shaft lean?
I worked in the golf industry in the early 90's and sold the "Positive putter" which was marketed as target-line balanced. I had one in my bag until the blade backstryke was introduced. This is not new, just reintroduced to an equipment hungry market.
Maybe test WITHOUT the guy who is in the mix?
Currently playing 5k Tri-Hot Seven at 75 degrees shaft angle. Contacted Odyssey for this at 75 degrees and their answer was can only bend +/- 2 degrees. Pretty disappointing for a "custom" shop to not support basic lie angle customization.
That’s all good, but that data is near on useless from a Validation & Verification testing or comparison perspective. The three models of Square to Square putters need to tested, and the data analysed against the three equivalent Odyssey standard non Square to Square putters
Can’t wait to try these , but anyone else wish the grip was black/white to match the head? Super nitpicky but I like the grip to match.
I am already gaming the old odyssey big seven tu. Was difficult to find and kinda pricey, wish I would have known these were coming.
What about the shorter player eg 5ft 6 inch, where the lie angle is wrong?
It's like the model T Ford. 70° or 70° or 70°. Take it or leave it. Would you like itbin black?
Would love to see you get someone who is really good with a toe flow putter try out a LAB for the first time on SAM.
I have always wanted center shafted putters but as a lefty, I could never find them. But all they did was take the 3 most popular putters they have and put the shaft in the center.
How old is this video Ian left CC on Oct 16th
I'd love to try the 7 in a 38"! Iwas disappointed to find they only went up to 35".
3:48 Even Odyssey doesn't pay to activate Windows 🤣
I’ve just bought a Wilson 8802 ….. protest buy 😂😂😂
