What are the battery care instructions and technical specs?
Battery Care:

Keep the battery separate from the launch monitor if not in use for a long time.
Charging time is approximately 6 hours for a full charge with a 5V/2A power input.
The battery lasts up to 8 hours on a full charge.

Technical Specifications:

Battery: Replaceable lithium-ion, 3.6V / 6,000mAh
Power Input: DC 5V / 1A
Average Current: 600mA
Network: Bluetooth v4.0 (Bluetooth Low Energy)
Operating Temperature: 0°C to 40°C

How do you place the ball and take a shot?
Ball Placement:

Place the ball in the designated hitting zone (15cm x 15cm area) as specified.
The LED will blink blue while searching for the ball and turn green when the ball is ready.

Taking a Shot:

Ensure the ball is placed correctly in the hitting zone.
Once the LED turns green, you can perform the shot.
Minimum ball speed for shot detection is 3.4 mph for regular shots and 1.1 mph for putting.

How do you apply the club marker and what data does it provide?
The club marker should be attached to the golf club 20cm from the floor when the club is upright. This marker enables the monitor to measure:

Club path
Attack angle
Face angle (when using the virtual shot mode)

Even without the club marker, the monitor can measure speed, direction, and spin data of the golf ball.

Using a patterned golf ball and club marker can enhance the accuracy of these measurements. For virtual shots, the data is estimated based on the swing stick’s speed, path, and face angle.

How much is the Square Golf Launch Monitor?

  1. That unit could be for free, and people would find something to bitch about it. For 700 clams, it packs a punch! A great option for entry sim golfers who wanna save some money, and put it elsewhere in their setup.🫡

  2. Glad you're finding these things. And I appreciate you including the bit about the company being responsive. That is just as important as the actual product function IMHO

  3. I have been seeing the zero side spin as well with my irons. Also, noticed it will be when i flush it. Thanks for the video

  4. Great review…but could you do another review using the native app the launch monitor comes with. A lot of us do not have GSPro, so I am sure their algorithms for ball data is slightly different than the native app. So although not as exciting, it would be great to see the numbers with the native app. Thanks for continuing to review this launch monitor. It is making my decision a lot clearer with each passing review.

  5. Excellent video. I am looking hard at the Square Golf simulator and really like what I'm seeing from the YouTube community on the video reviews.

  6. This unit seems to be doing well in most categories. Im going to give it a bit but im seriously considering one now. Though i really had hope for the launch box. Thanks for the videos. Keep them coming.

  7. Hopefully the updates will sort this out and it is not a hardware limitation issue. Hard to know if this will be a cheaper alternative to the likes of "eye mini light" for us average golfers. With the Uneeker sales on at the moment I for one need to know if the golf data is any good at all or just a gimmick.

  8. Great video Jay, I can't get anywhere near my drive's of 240-250, I must have it set up wrong.
