Oakland A’s legend, Liam Hendriks! 💛🖤
Really looking forward to John Sterling next week. We get to hear his Kratz call of a home run.
I'm all for players getting paid, but why would you pay Soto 600 M? He doesn't have an entire country waiting behind him for marketing opportunities. If you're willing to spend that kind of money, get 3 200M players. Especially for teams that have many holes to fill. Soto and Boras should go for as much as they can, but I don't get why teams are going along with it
Age is so highly valued in the free agent market that Soto is guaranteed to land a deal above 550mil in present day value. it's just the facts
Econ 101? Of course players' salaries correlate to ticket prices. Owners pass the expense on to the fans. Why do small market teams that don't spend money still charge slot for tickets? Because when the market for tickets in New York and La increases the small market teams feel justified in increasing at a commensurate rate. It is a bubble. There is a limit. When fans can no longer afford to watch or there are cheaper alternatives it will spell the end of baseball.
Red Sox arent gunna shell out 650 million for Soto with no supporting cast.
Whoever pays 600m is going to regret badly a few years from now.
Liam's back!
mets dont need soto. they need pitching. stop it. Mets Fans would rather sign Juan Soto than own homegrown Pete Alonzo? what a joke. at least Yankees resign Judge their homegrown product.
