The guest is right, I was never bothered by Chelsea, our defence was rock solid, and we let them have the ball, we were not gonna be like last game after international. In truth it was Men (us) against Boys.
Great result, but i would be slightly concerned about our approach at anfield yesterday going forward, both chelsea and bologne have come to anfield and knocked it about far to easy, i get were not constant high press like under klopp but if were sitting off more in our shape we need to make sure we cut off the passing lanes better, chelsea played forward into midfield far too easy and this included the goal. Szobo has to lift his game when in possession and offer much more in terms of linking play and finding passes for wide men and centre forward, especially when its so tight in the middle of the park, he shud be the one finding the space, with mcallister, jones in this form and elliott coming back szoboszlai under big pressure for his place.
Being pressed and not able to go through midfield, option is to go long which started of winning second ball and lead to penalty. Which also gives variety to go back through midfield which Liverpool did. Great pictures of Curtis holding baby with Cole palmer face on baby lol 😂
Chelsea had two shots on target, Liverpool had five, blocking shots keeping them to long range. Fantastic defending
14:31 On that point, I was in a heavy metal band, when we did gigs we’d throw softer slower songs in to give the audience a bit of a break then the heavy songs would hit way harder, anfield’s atmosphere is similar where the breaks make the louder moments more impactful.
Great stuff James Sutton!!! Great initiative!!!!!
B.s about this an that a field has gone cold and quiet am not dissin my own kop but it's obvious people keep on about the a field noise am 45 an that noise started dieing 25 years ago it needs to be addressed not brushed over
Penalty not given is just a non-debate. Move on
The thing about the atmosphere is very true. I went to a Hanover 96 game: INSANE atmosphere, drums, flairs, MC shouting.. SO LOUD THE WHOLE TIME…… but then we (Hannover scored) and you don’t really notice it in terms of at atmosphere. Hilarious analogy btw 😂
Liverpool did lose at Bournemouth at our peak so its wrong to underestimate them
Play Jones in the 9. He's a menace in the box. Contributes and links up very well
and stuff like that….
what on earth are these people waffling about Macallister, he literally is the guy who keeps things ticking. you drop Szoboszlai, he ran himself to the ground because he constantly kept losing the ball and is a horrendous passer. put the whole team under pressure constantly and nearly caused us to concede a goal in the seventy second minute.
Maych is very good at neutralising that annoying girls stupid comments in a diplomatic way
Chloe's dumbest comment of the day. 'i think a 2-1 is bigger than a 3-1 win'. And Chris appropriately says 'did you have this conversation out loud or in your head '😂. Seriously Chloe slow down and engage your brain before you speak
The only reason Chelsea had the possession and the momentum is because we let them.
We were ahead and playing with a more pragmatic approach. As soon as Chelsea equalised we went forward and replied straight away, exactly like we did against Wolves (I think).
That’s not a coincidence, that’s the way we play now.
Naa I'm not having that Jones is almost as good or better than Mac Allister. Mac is so underrated but I thought Liverpool fans were more aware of his quality. Mac with Enzo in Argentina & Caicedo at Brighton next to them made them look like £100+ players. A 31 year old Wataru Endo in his 1st season with us with Mac alongside him had us top of the league with 8 games to go. Gravenberch in a position he's never played before in the toughest league in the world has looked amazing with Mac next to him. As SOON as you remove Mac from those equations ALL their levels drop significantly. It's not a coincidence. Mac Allister makes everyone around him better, he's a glue guy AND a force multiplier, he's quietly world class. If Mac played against Chelsea we would have had more possession and limited Chelsea to fewer shots on goal. In my opinion he's our most influential midfielder, though I do believe Szoboszlai and Gravenberch are more talented.
Curtis in for szboszlai the marathon runner the non creative number 10
Thanks for the content
At 30:00 Chloe’s point about Gravenburch playing the Macca role which allowed Jones to play his role was spot on. Cause jones was able to run into the box.
I hate it when Chloe always gets interrupted just as she is landing a good point.
ace to see James back on a Redmen show, always love his views about the reds
Stone wall red don’t wanna hear anything else
Couple of things on here are bewildering….
The one guy saying if we beat Arsenal (which we won't) and went 7 clear of them, that's it for them. Is he for real? Does he not learn that this same squad loses games to Forest, Palace (at home) and Everton and will do the same again whilst Arsenal collect points. Really odd thing to say.
And as for the players being rested, do they know what the players were doing on Monday? Resting I assume. What are they doing on Tuesday (tailored training), what will they be doing most of Wednesday (travelling, tailored training, resting). You don't rest players for match days, they only play 2 days out of 7 a wee.
As for Chiesa, he's just permanently injured, he's just that guy.
Curtis Jones is a good academy product and a useful squad player that good teams need to succeed, but he is nowhere NEAR the level of Mac Allister or Szobo for me. Szobo has had a slow start but his quality is not in question and Mac Allister is world class…actually insane that anyone would drop one of them for Curtis Jones off the back of one good game 😅
Am I imagining it but didn’t we also have nights like the CL games against Chelsea where it was electric atmosphere for 90 mins?
Atmosphere right now I think is fine, it explodes when it needs to, and I think as season goes on Anfield will be a terrifying place to come – as Paul said the songbook also isn’t there yet. We need more songs for our players like the Diaz and Jota ones.
Not seen James for a while. Is he being casted as the next Batman!?! Built like an ox now, sheesh!
Szobo needs a dropping. He needs to contribute more than just running around
If Jones plays the same number of games as the rest of our Midfielders whether in the two deep positions or the 10, he will definitely be our top scoring midfielder if he can iron out his decision making, he could be our most important midfielder..
The offside Gakpo goal and the penalty shout are examples where his head just goes and he thinks a second to much to think
Andrew Tate helps countless men and their lives. To pretend he doesn't just shows how people are sheep who blindly follow the MSM narrative without looking into things for themselves. Clueless comment. He's changed more lives than you can comprehend but you wont acknowledge that because you're either totally uneducated on the subject or you're just terrified of any backlash by other blind sheep. He's brought far more good to the world than every negative hater combined.
Paul-shithouse-machin: “this makes a draw at the emirates when they’ve got half of their defence and their best players out with injury a really really good result for us”
Fuck off Paul 😂😂
More excuses for the amount of tourists, middle class and old people at the stadium – which destroys the atmosphere. Where is the real analysis? The Kop needs remodelling and rebuilt and more young people and working class people should get priority tickets. It's that simple.
"If you fucking hate Tate, you'll love this"
Excellent sales pitch
The predictable attempts by people to justify this by dehumanising the victim is nothing knew. Placing your personal opinions on his perceived criminality is irrelevant. At the time he wasn't a suspect, they didn't know who he was, there was no intel on him at the time of the incident. Police officers are trained to not use personal grievances or emotion to decide on these matters.
They are meant to be held to higher standards. The same reason we don't have the death penalty is the same reason why police shouldn't be justified in this killing. Anybody who genuinely believes a kill shot is a proportionate reaction and there was zero other way for the situation to be deescalated is letting their personal biases and concerns about criminality cloud the matter.
What people say about Szoboszlai about his work rate which makes up for his poor passing or lack of goal involvements , should just remember Bobby Firmino did all those and still passed well created chances and went past players etc
