You may have heard an announcer on a golf telecast talk about a “fall line,” but you likely don’t know what he means. The fall line is the line on which the ball will roll straight to the hole; not break to the left or to the right.

Look around the green to see where the slopes of the green come together and even out. You can practice identifying the fall line by doing a three-ball drill on the putting green.
