6×6 would be better and 12×12 would be best, but this is a start.
After Tiger getting $100m, he still wants to punish LIV players. Lossen up Tiger. OWGR is too political. They suck like Demoncrats.
I will be watching
It’s going to be cool
Looking forward to seeing the no. 7 & 9 LIV ranked golfers wipe the floor with the no. 1 & 3 PGA-affiliated OWGR ranked golfers….
They could have added Rahm and Xander…same result 😉
Still say take several Signature events 1/2 LIV 1/2 PGA see what happens – 😇
Wallace walks early when guys are putting and is always figeting in annoying manners. All this stuff obviously has clear intentions. I am not a huge fan.
Punish LIV players for risking their careers, while EVERY PRO GOLFER IN THE WORLD BENEFITTED but one, Tiger Woods. It is ridiculous.
Completely agree pro golf has lost outside the majors. On X LIV is down to basically one Fan, Progolfcritic. Those of us that boycott US sports, for obvious reasons we don't need to go into, were excited for LIV at first. In the end it is a trash product. Now I personally watch YT golf and majors. A bit of the other stuff if I am free and online. That's it.
…and the LIV/PGAT angle is not why I am going to watch. It is just 4 great golfers with a history. SHould make a question of the day of why the 85% will watch? Great golf or PGAT vs LIV
What does it mean? It’s just the silly season and pga needs clicks and entertainment to keep golf relevant. It’s not so much about pga vs Liv but instead something interesting to watch for golf fans. PGA is too political and single minded to negotiate any merger with anyone to be part of their monopoly. Framework agreement was made just to stop liv from suing them. Rory’s idea of worldwide golf is against their monopoly that’s why he’s shaded. Also, two key members of the board resigned because of PGA’s stance. The new American investors will soon put pressure on Fake commissioner to get things solved.
There is still time…they could expand this to 12 vs 12…and let's call it a test-run.
Then they will realize that this could be just as big as the Ryder Cup!
And that is what I would like to see. The USA, Europe and Presidents Cup International team, plus a LIV team playing against each other every end of every year…That would get everybody interested for various reasons.
LIV team (as per current LIV standings):
(1) Rahm, (2) Niemann, (3) Hutton, (4) Sergio, (5) Louis Oosthuizen, (6) Cam Smith, (7) Brooks, (8) Dean Burmester, (9) Bryson, (10) Talor Gooch, (11) Paul Casy, (12) Abraham Ancer
The next could move up in last events to get in contention:
(13) Carlos Ortiz, (14) Dustin Johnson, (15) Marc Leishman, (16) Adrian Meronk, (17) Matthew Wolfe
Who makes the money in golf an issue…the golf media?
I'm a golf fan and I don't really care how much a golfer won, that's a nice-to-know maybe. What matters to me is who won…and that's all that really matters.
Golf media and commentators are the ones that make money an issue…just saying
