  1. Congratulations to Ronnie Snr for nurturing Ronnie's talent no matter what it cost. As a kid, his dad decided to move house to a place where he could build a proper snooker room, with a full size table. He paid a man £200 per week plus a car to look after Ronnie and take him all over the country playing amateur tournements. He loved his son and knew he had a major talent.

  2. 7 Times a champion of the world but that doesn't even matter. What matters is that he is still playing and when he does, nothing else matters. He loves to put on a show and we enjoy every single moment of it.
I wonder if anyone guessed back then they were seeing the makings of a god.

  3. Excelente video. O'Sullivan sólo ha cambiado para mejorar cada vez más y sus triunfos son muy merecidos. Gracias por el video.

  4. 6:37 the commentator John said "well this is the first time I've every seen this young man Steve and already I'm totally impressed" then at 7:44 John says "and tremendous cue power this young lad has got" definitely an understatement then at 9:45 "obviously a name for the future" says Steve Davis! Another understatement! Then 14 year old Ronnie finishes a 75 break against a 24 year old opponent Steve Ventham. Also this started with 2000 snooker players from 125 clubs ending in 8 players left to play. A great achievement to get to the last 8. 👏 Ronnie was playing quick even at 14. I wonder what age Ronnie was when he started playing left handed too. Great to watch back 34 years later! 👍

  5. That O'Sullivan lad appears to be going places! I predict a mighty career ahead for him. Might even become World Champion someday!
