  1. Eric, this is the perfect point for a part 2 on how the body needs to rotate to keep from hitting pulls and pull hooks. A good drill is to use an alignment stick and holding it in your grip to extend the club up the handle, keeping it from hitting the front side of the body through impact.

  2. You've got to be kidding me. Could you guys have made this more confusing.. Danny Maude simplifies it so well. I stopped following Hanson because he did all these degrees, angles etc.

  3. Hey gang! Hope you enjoy today's video with Craig. Getting the CLUB FACE square to the path is a HUGE key. One of the big three from our DEEP TO SHALLOW swing program.

Club face is king. No getting around it….NEED to get this part good to set up the good downswing pieces.

  4. Great video, Mr. Cogorno! Who makes the oversized club training aid you both are using? They would be amazing for feedback rehearsing these checkpoints

  5. Hi Eric, love the video quick question how long do you hold that 45° angle on that right wrist? Is it held right until impact and then release or does it start to release as you’re getting close to impact? Just curious how long you have to hold it. Keep providing great content, love it!🔥⛳️🏌️‍♂️💰

  6. Two of my favorite instructors together, great video! Idea obviously makes perfect sense for irons, but would you apply it the same way with driver?

  7. i want to know what happens after P6 with the hands/club handle and where does that bent right wrist release if at all. thanks.

  8. I’m to the point now that I just take my 7 iron and look for a carry of 175 yards relatively straight. That’s how I know I’m swinging ok. 😂 It’s a great lesson, don’t get me wrong, but I’m happy enough with an 8-10 handicap. Scratch golfers HATE giving me strokes because they know I can hang with them straight up if I’m having a “good day”. lol

  9. i've worked on this exactly over last few months (clubface positions) and can honestly confirm that body and mind find ways to correct things beyond our comprehension and mental awareness. Certain things just “fix themselves“ (as you said in this video yourselves) and that is 100% true!!! Great video btw.

  10. Great video Eric, I do watch Craig as well. It’s not confusing at all in my opinion because I know how to properly hinge the club. I think some golfer maybe confused how to hinge the club during takeaway. I had taken lessons when I first learned how to swing the club so I understand clearly the concept of learning check points in the swing, again Excellent video!

  11. Would You say the left arm STARTS counter clockwise for a brief second to get the face square to the plane as demonstrated? I believe this happens before the left arm rotates in a clockwise direction to get on plane at roughly 45 degrees.Would appreciate Your opinion Eric Thanks. Ray

  12. This is another example of growing a robust understanding of the golf swing for everyone. I think it’s an excellent collaboration of both principals to assist and share meaningful insights for the highly detailed and basic straightforward players. Continue to provide great content from those who excel. While there’s always going to be differences in how it’s received or whether you’re willing to incorporate some of the teachings.

  13. I think if you did some videos working with real golfers on lessons giving these type of tips on a video, I think you’ll find the videos will get a lot more traction. A lot more relatable and engaging. I think you’re a good guy but I find these videos a little tough to watch . Just some honest feedback

  14. What a brilliant video from two top coaches. To see you feed off each other is a treat.
By the way, as a UK viewer, it’s very definitely a “table tennis bat”, NOT a “ping pong paddle”!! 🤨

  15. this is my issue with irons. I feel I am at one o'clock going back but my video shows it is open when I come down and causes me to have early extension.

  16. For those criticizing for the "too-detailed" video, that's cool, watch another one of his videos lol. I'm just a mid handicap and love these. Too each their own bro.

  17. This is a very interesting video. My usual miss is a hook and when that happens it feels very much like I'm "gaining time", completely shutting the face. When I come down and feel like I'm "losing time", it feels like I'm gonna blade it. Also feels like the face is way open. These are the strikes that feel pure and go straight

  18. Great explanation Eric. Could you and Craig please also do a video on the wrist positions from impact all the way to the finish. Should we see the red side of the paddle at the finish, and if yes, when does it switches from black to red? Or should we just hold the wrist position and make it black all the way to the finish?
