For 15 years, Melvin and Kelvin Floyd called East Lake Golf Club home. The twin brothers from Atlanta found golf through their mother, who encouraged them to pursue a sport while they struggled in school battling dyslexia and other learning disabilities. In golf, and at East Lake, the twins found discipline, confidence, and a newfound perspective that turned them into bi-coastal professional caddies with a story to tell. We took a trip down to Atlanta with Melvin and Kelvin ahead of the TOUR Championship to give them their first glimpse at Andrew Green’s restoration of their home course, and to hear their story of perseverance, positivity, and a love for the game that’s worth celebrating.

“Now I look at people the way people looked at me when I couldn’t read or write,” Melvin told us outside the clubhouse at East Lake. “So guess what? I gotta use my life skills and switch it—tell them you can be that, you can do this.”
