  1. I loved our effort, solid all game but we did not make the most of our opportunities. Maybe we are a little too predictable with Charlie and Harry.. ? Loved Pitos game and of course Weitering! TDK as usual a massive threat..I think we have an incredible talent pool with our smalls, they will only get better..

  2. I really agree with your review Pom! I feel especially in the last few games we have been taking these speculative shots at goal that actually distort our shots on goal stat because they were actually very low percentage. I’m not sure if it’s defensive pressure or every player taking the chance to snag a goal! But we were better when we looked for the better option not blazed away! Also those behinds are doubly hurtful as the opposition are able to transition so easily out of our D50. It’d honestly be better to not have the shot, take a stoppage, and try to lock it in our F50. I feel we’ve moved away from that. Your boxing analogy was spot on to where we are at as a team! Great review! Look forward to the 5 learnings vid

  3. They say you learn more from a loss than a win, they need to clean up their entries into the forward 50 and simply be more efficient with our goal kicking because that’s where we lost it,hopefully we get some players back sooner rather than later especially down back, also need to defend the ground better,we’re getting killed in transition, get to work baggers or we’ll just be making up the numbers

  4. Cats did a great job contested marking in the defence in first half too. Really disrupted our entries and made us go into difficult places to shoot for goal. Without Stewart too, shows how their defensive structures held up and they didn't let themselves get separated.

  5. Reckon video title about covers it. We worked hard to make far more chances and didn't cash in. Geelong, 18 goals from 45 inside 50s wasn't good enough. If they ever play like that and are then efficient and smart, then it becomes scary. Did so many things wrong and yet lost to an undefeated team by 2 goals. Poise missing …. and some decent one on one defending which was poor.

  6. I think Voss was out coached by a master coach maybe that's why he was so angry. A loss is never good but it becomes catastrophic when you don't learn from it. I'ts great Carlton experienced finals type pressure and tatics so soon in the season. Bombing to Harry & Charlie is not sustainable in finals where you are meeting the best of best (Geelong may be the best positioning defence team in the league) & the added intensity of finals (Carlton tried this last year & it failed). Need to kick to leads whether or not Charlie & Harry. If you do kick long, go back and look at what Mark McClue did, he palmed to his runners coming toward him. Geelong always seemed to have a man on the outside of stoppages especially stoppages around the ground who got the ball. Voss is a good coach Chris Scott is a master coach. Lets see Voss climb up the ladder and drag Carlton with him. P.S. not sure about Zac Williams is he really as good as we thing he is?

  7. I am disappointed that we lost, as this game would have been like a pass mark that we have arrived as a real top side. We do have work to do.

  8. Disappointed but I think that we just lacked that experience and better ball handling / usage by the players that we out. Hot the post three times also makes a difference.

  9. Binns isn't a impact 1Q type player, Needs to start the game and work himself into it, Wasn't a good time to come on with Cats having momentum, If ready Cerra 4 Carroll Binns 4 Fanta Sub Cin 👍

  10. Good points as usual Pommy. Couple of points. First, it was worrying that we were enable to adjust our game plan. We kept essentially playing the same way all game. Second, what's happened to our defence? Not just the defenders, but defensive efforts all over the ground. When the Cats managed to get a break, our players were nowhere to be seen. Carlton's defensive efforts were great last year in very trying circumstances. I understand that we're injured – but you don't need wall-to-wall star defensive players to put up a decent system.

  11. Didn't get to watch the game as i had a gig, i saw it was close, but when i was driving home heard the last quarter, it seemed to smashed us until the final 5 mins, in which I nearly crashed the car! Anyway, the MMM commentators said that Cripss and Walsh were inefficient and our defence was terrible, the femaile commentator gave our defence spray when frucking Cameron got that last goal to seal the game for them, basically said a team can't expect to win a flag defending like that. Anyway, a full strength Geelong withwhat, 15 premiership players against a team trying to win a flag with 10 our our best out. Go figure. Go Blues. Lets roll the Pies in the mud!

  12. This game didn't get away from Carlton. Geelong let Carlton back into the game late, that's all. Also, remember we were without Stewart, and we lost Danger halfway through the game, he was going pretty well to that point. Carlton were pretty good, but didn't let the game get away.

  13. You should consider doing some special comments for EFL games or something coz you got a good footy brain, and probz a novelty voice in that industry.

    Good video man

  14. Geelong forced Carlton to play a contested game. They felt like they were winning but they did it all the hard way.
