Golfer Scott Gutchewski normally plays on the PGA Tour, but decided to play in the Korn Ferry Tour’s Pinnacle Bank Championship in his hometown of Omaha.
Then on the first day, he was paired with familiar opponents.
As he put it, he’s usually old enough to be the dad of the players alongside side him, but this time he actually was their dad!
Joining Scott were Luke Gutchewski, a senior at Iowa State, who won the Nebraska Junior Amateur in 2020, and Trevor Gutchewski, a rising high school senior coming off winning the U.S. Junior Amateur.
Before their first tee time at The Club at Indian Creek, the sons hit social media for some trash talking, with Luke claiming to have used all the hot water, and Trevor noting he syphoned the gas from their cars.
Scott and Trevor ended the day tied at 1 under, while Luke came in at 1 over.
Scott turned pro in 1999 and has three Top 10 finishes.
