This is another good topic that I see the great majority of amateurs having trouble with; releasing the golf club. I get asked a lot not just on how you have to release the golf club but when you have to release the golf club. The golf club releases so it can move at the fastest speed possible. If you want to gain more distance with your golf clubs then this is a great video for you to study.

When you go into your back swing then you r golf club first needs to hinge fully, this is the angle between your arms and the golf club itself. Once it hinges it is now in a position to be able to re-hinge and this is where you are going to get the speed from to hit the golf ball along way. Your wrists are like a hinge, they first need to hinge to be able to re-hinge to hit the golf ball.

When you get this hinging and re-hinging down better, this is where the whipping action happens that makes the golf club snap to gain maximum distance. If you don’t have this action happening in your swing then you are very tight and this makes the golf club move slower then a better players. Work on this very diligently so you can get more distance in your golf shots.
