Back in the day my Dad and brothers would play golf at a municipal court.
They're good people though
I grew up playing private courses and never knew how good I had it. Stopped playing for about a decade then I started playing again this year…at public courses. I went and played at my Dad's club in Florida a few weeks ago. The difference was astronomical. His "average" private course was better than the top public courses around me. Free range balls, actual sand traps, no ball marks on the green, fringe around the greens, a first cut of rough…so this video kinda rings true.

Grew up playing a muni in metro Detroit and because of that I can still enjoy playing at a crappy course as long as the layout itself is still interesting enough. Lots of videos you’ll see on my channels aren’t at crazy nice places.

I want to be able to golf so bad. Theres still 5 feet of snow in Minnesota. Last year I was golfing at this time, and this year we probably wont get out till June.
Paying more for golf has never equated to more fun for me, golf is golf. Waste money if you want idk

I live in Arizona and play some of the coolest courses but do miss playing in the Midwest in the spring and fall. Nothing beats a wooded lush course.

I play at a "municipal" course that is nicer than most private clubs. Granted, it's in Minnesota, where golf is extremely popular, but still. (Minnesota has the most golfers per capita out of any state)
