Shane Lowry (-7) leads the 152nd Open Championship through 36 holes at Royal Troon. Daniel Brown and Justin Rose sit two back of Lowry, with former major champions Scottie Scheffler, Jason Day, and Xander Schauffele chasing. We run down the rest of the leaderboard to include some notable missed cuts and have KVV call in to discuss his day around the Postage Stamp.

  1. Was Pinehurst a Trojan trackman course? You got the biggest highest ball hitters separating there and they can’t hit a shot in real conditties… just saying… putting it out there… mudders only innit!

  2. Shoutout to neighbor Patrick. Going to need his picks for future opens for draftings purposes please and thanks DJ.

  3. Thing about Lowry this year is he spent nearly a month in Ireland playing links so I guess his ball flight is dialled for wind .
That's Rory's problem the man refuses to hit a low ball
It's sad because Rory held course records on some of the toughest links all over Ireland at one point.

So how in the name of God can he think he can bomb a links course it's mad

    Day 1 :(+4.02avg)
    Day 2 :(+4.14avg) (38-49 day 2)
Made cut from these groups: rai, kirk, niemann, henley, pavon, rham, macintyre, harman, homa, english, migliozzi, crocker, morrison(a) 36% of players making cut, only Neimman finishing at Even Par through Friday

  6. Ran into Team Rose at the Colonial this year and he couldn't have been a nicer guy. Rooting for him to take home the jug.

  7. Don't really care who wins now, just glad that baby Tyrell is outta here. So happy he moved to LIV so he doesn't stain my golf watching anymore.

  8. British Isles Golf init. My course growing up had a par 3 on top of a cliff and you routinely had to aim 45 degress from target and hit it out to sea to get anywhere near the green. But yes. Shane is a bit different in that i think he doesn't overthink shots and makes a guess on wind effect. Most people i saw in r2 didn't quite compensate enough, couldn't trust themselves to ride the wind.

  9. Gotta feel for a guy like Dan Brown. In the unlikely event of him winning the Open in a fairytale story the story is going to be overrun with headlines of book related puns 😂
