well that was a lot of fun holy cow what’s going on everybody Welcome inside game day after dark and we are Live on YouTube we are live on Facebook and Twitter and we are now live on Instagram I’ve been trying to get that going for a long long time and well I think we got it going I think think we got it going uh great to see all of you uh joining us here uh on the postgame show tons to get to where’s schnitzi schnitzi schnitt’s got some things to deal with so he’s not going to be joining us tonight he wishes he could he has been so apologetic texting me hey he has got things to deal with tonight we got him covered we got you covered as the bombers Come Away with just a a a huge victory tonight your final score four-point win just what they needed 4137 as the bombers get their second straight Win Second win of the season and hope abounds now for this Blue Bombers team because can you imagine if they were one and five looking at a trip to Regina next Friday night good gracious that would have been uh a tough one but uh they are now two and four and I mean it’s amazing what one game can do and now stringing together two uh the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the fans all of you out there I’m sure are feeling pretty good uh that was a fun football game that was entertaining that was a Wild West showdown and I’ve got so many video highlights to play you guys tonight I can’t wait to get to it all the not so great the poor the mistakes the confusing the incredible how about Ontario Wilson tonight 2011 yards 12 catches I think he had we’ll pull up the live stats uh and and take a look unbelievable performance for the Blue Bombers rookie uh on offense Winnipeg I mean it it wasn’t pretty and listening to quarterback Zack Karis after the game he said quote shot ourselves in the foot and I was responsible for some of that I paraphrase I don’t know if he use the word responsible but that’s what he said he said we shot ourselves in the foot and he was at fault for those 75% passing was Zack Karis tonight two touchdowns two interceptions the first one was tipped by Mike Rose at the line of scrimmage the second not a great throw to the end zone to Nick demsky picked off by um Trey Roberson we will take a look at the video of all of those in just a couple minutes so thanks for joining us and thanks for sticking around uh seeing everybody in the live chat uh Bob man freezen uh by the way Ryan FZ thank you for your super chat a couple weeks ago uh brought some goodies over to our good friend Teddy Wyman as he continues to battle and heal and he is doing great he is in good spirits and frez you were uh incredibly grateful with your Super Chat uh I thank you and I thank you on behalf of teddy as well um but great to see you in the live chat waiters and Peter D and David asland and spency and tonali with the the pyros what’s going on Paulie uh James in the peg Matt Heyman Charlie Duo John great to see everybody awesome awesome to see everybody Lisa Gail how about this 35 years in Vancouver BC but uh yesterday was 35 years well congratulations uh still love the Jets and bl blue bombers I like that uh mischievous wolf so many people in the live chat tonight great to see you all uh come along for this oh my goodness what did I do look at this we’ll get this straightened out how about that okay there we go got the video back what’s up all right uh I mean all of these highlights there’s a lot to get to uh so we can dig right in but what else we’re going to get to tonight I mean we’ll get into wb’s Warrior Westwood wide to the right your bonfire burning point and would love to get your perspectives uh in person um David Asin great to see you in the tailgate area and to meet you prior to my hit with uh DT and DB on CJ OB uh been uh uh popping in on those pregame shows uh this season it’s been a lot of fun just keeping the seat warm for Teddy uh by the way um fre hey you know what incredible generosity by you another $40 uh not necessary man but we thank you so much uh FZ said bombers win next week they are back for sure of course in Regina on Friday uh Wilson was awesome says Ryan Fen uh so was Castillo 57 yard field goal great to hear about uh Ted Wyman uh says Ryan friezen uh this bomber offense will be awesome once Shan and Lawler get back well on that note Dalton shown will not return this season it is a season ending injury that he suffered Kenny Lawler maybe a few more weeks I know the cast is off but uh we talked about that on the on the pregame show uh with Chris Walby uh by the way but uh as many people are saying hit the thumbs up John boano is the first thumbs up tonight I like that way to go good job uh where do we want to start I mean the first TD drive like this game did not start well for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and why is that well right out of the gate here’s the Calgary stamp Peters with their touchdown Drive uh they really put together an impressive one in their first possession of the game and it was led by that Reggie Bagon catch and run Dedrick Mills who missed last week after getting nicked up against the bombers two weeks ago in Calgary well he was back in the lineup he was big tonight had a whole ton of yards uh and was a real Catalyst for the Calgary stamp Peters offense um as they uh really found a way uh to consistently attack the Winnipeg Blue Bombers defense and it was those explosion plays that really got the Blue Bombers uh in trouble against the stamps tonight uh Dedrick Mills had three carries over 10 yards yard 15 carries for 131 yards that is an average of 8.7 yards per carry for dedric Mills incredible uh Winnipeg I think was okay at the line of scrimmage but because the back end kind of opened up I think they compensated at least this is my take I think the Blue Bombers defense compensated a little bit for that leak back end of the defense and that allowed Dedrick Mills to really wind up and go Clark Barnes the seconde Canadian five catches for 80 yards was the top yardage getter off the arm of Jake Mayer 316 yards he too had two touchdowns and two interceptions similar to Zack kis but was about 10% less efficient uh in his completion percentage uh Mark and Michelle uh had the touchdown so to did Eric Brooks that was a real back breaker at the time for Winnipeg uh but Reggie Balton what is it he’s gone now I’ve lost count 50 games with at least a reception the guy’s going to be in the Hall of Fame unbelievable um but I will digress uh off of that and uh get back to the major storylines of this game and I’ll give schnitzi a game ball right off the top because he took copious Game notes like I’m looking at them right here and I’m almost overwhelmed it’s nuts uh but I mean I don’t even know if I can get through all these with you guys uh it’s going to be something uh but you know what I think we should just watch a ton of uh video highlights tonight and we will get into uh the happy Honker uh the bonfire burning point as I mentioned wb’s Warrior Westwood wide to the right um and our game ball but I think we should start with maybe the biggest breakout performance tonight and that was no surprise you know him now what’s his nickname well Matt dunan was calling him sticky his nickname growing up was Pokey but his real name is ontaria Wilson he had 13 catches look at this 16 targets that’s Winnipeg’s next two leading receivers combined in demy and W latarski and yardage combined not even close 80 80 yards short of Ontario Wilson’s 20 yards in a monstrous breakout performance for the Blue Bombers rookie receiver tonight 15.5 yard average per catch 13 of 16 including a nice second down conversion two catches of 30 plus yards onario Wilson is a name you will know and you will not forget because he is wb’s Warrior tonight no questions about it he went to battle and without Kenny Lawler without Dalton shown with question marks about um you know a lot of the young guys in this receiving Corp and Josh Johnson and Kevin clerus um you know knowing that teams are going to really bracket that is focus on and bracket guard Nick demsky there was a good stretch of time where I think things started to open up for dempy into the third quarter because Ontario Wilson was getting open so often uh Drew alari as well uh all of those guys had good games but onario Wilson really stepped up when Winnipeg needed him and I wonder if um you know that week off served Karis and Wilson well because onario Wilson was in the starting lineup for the Blue Bombers um week one if I’m not mistaken uh Kier wheatfall I think is the one that came in for Kenny Lawler he had 111 yards in his CFL debut in week two uh but then uh but it’s been Wilson who has been in the lineup from the start um great comment from T will we’re back in business baby yeah I think the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are back in business that is absolutely a fair comment great to see everybody in the live chat uh ton Nali interesting point DB remember egod DOI went off that one game too time will tell on Wilson fair fair but the team didn’t talk about Carlton agad DOI the way they talk about Ontario Wilson and the team didn’t start Carlton agad DOI week one out of training camp in his rookie year the way they did with Ontario Wilson I think onario Wilson has a lot more to give than uh Carlton agad DOI did and that’s not a slag on on agod DOI I just think Ontario Wilson is um he’s a he’s a he’s a thoroughbred um I really too like Josh Johnson he had one catch tonight for seven yards uh it’s kind of been in and out of the lineup when opportunity arises um but I think he’s somebody there as well um that will help carry the load into this next phase of Blue Bombers receivers you know Kenny Lawler will eventually come back uh but without Dalton shown for the rest of the year they’re going to need Kevin clerus and Josh Johnson and more onario Wilson to uh continue to uh step up yeah t Winnipeg 204 Wilson looks like he’s going to be special yeah when you pull in 13 of 16 for 200 yards and and a tutty you guys call them tutes I call them tutes it’s it’s not my own word I think some uh football uh purists like calling them Tes touchdowns TDS Tes 201 and a tutty tonight for ontaria Wilson Pokey as uh he has been come to be known um yeah Peter D you’re right uh more yards than the rest of the Blue Bombers receivers combined uh kis to go 75% and throw two touchdowns with 344 yards outstanding I think that’s a great game for him however Zack Karis is not playing his best football right now at all uh but that is not to say his first interception was at all his fault watch Mike Rose at the line of scrimmage there it is tipping the ball and that just got it too far in front of Drew W Atari this in the first quarter and a lot of people are like oh here we go again Zack colaris throwing interceptions right there tipped by Mike Rose one of the best defensive tackles in the league and that took it off its Mark just enough just enough enough for Trey Roberson to get his first of two interceptions tonight um I think this ball had it not been tipped because look how it was tipped it was tipped two karis’s right two wallar left and where does it land too far to wall atari’s left too far to karis’s right I think that would have been a good pass cuz I don’t know maybe you can’t tell but Rose got a good piece of this ball so that was the first interception Karis threw tonight um and he did throw another one a little bit later I’ll pull that up now um this one very different for Zack colaris very very different and uh pardon the uh fuzzy footage it will get a little bit better in a second this ball was the Deep Corner route that is trademark colaris to demsky and that body language right there you see on the Blue Bombers qb1 tells you everything you need to know about what happened with that throw that throw was just plain Off the Mark he underthrew it and Roberson benefited from it uh this is I think maybe Karis and demy’s favorite play but Zack Karis has got to drop that pass deeper that’s an underthrown football where demsky should be going right towards the Corner Cone right towards that pylon orange in the back corner of the end zone but it doesn’t get there it’s way short way short where Roberson catches this football there it is catching it right there under the hashtag for the W where he catches it there dsk is not even close and at first I thought maybe demsky didn’t run the route correctly oh he’s running it perfectly correctly this is a bracket between Nick dempy left and right and the last he’s only five yards into the end zone the last 15 yards here is where that ball should be dropped into this final 15 yards toward that back pylon and it’s underthrown football unfortunately so when Zack colaris told tsn’s Brit Dort after the game that they shot themselves in the foot and a lot of that was on him that’s what he’s speaking about uh I would love to get everyone’s opinion in the live chat how do you feel Zack Claris is playing this year he had no touchdown passes coming into tonight he threw two including a really nice one to um Ontario Wilson uh early in the game uh and he made a couple really really nice passes uh as the game went on but I mean he did go 75% so I think this was a good game a building Confidence Game for Karis for the o line because I think those are the two main Assets in the Blue Bombers offense that haven’t played particularly well uh the Run game has been good and that is kudos to the offensive line I think their run blocking has been very good but the pass protection and uh the quarterback play I don’t think has been uh at its best this season um this was a really nice play that I do want to draw attention to as the uh Blue Bombers and Stampeders exchanged interceptions really quickly back and forth and this was soon after karis’s interception Jake Mayer dropped back and here’s Tyrell Ford who early in the game on that opening Calgary stamp Peters touchdown Drive tried to jump route ended up getting burned I think that was the big Bagon uh or might have been a mark and Michelle uh catch and run but uh there’s Tyrell Ford the seconde Canadian and I will correct myself I had been calling him a first year Pro he did play in 2022 with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 23 cut out of camp with the Green Bay Packers and waited for another rfl opportunity that did not come to fruition now with the Blue Bombers again in 2024 uh was a draft pick uh Winnipeg’s top pick in 2022 out of the University of waterl of course the twin brother of Edmonton Elks quarterback tryf for uh Tyrell blazing speed very smart just an athlete and to have a Canadian playing Corner uh is is really something uh in the CFL today so uh I think he is somebody that is a star on the emergence for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers um Pat rathell what’s going on Pat good to see you in the live chat uh Pat myself Hustler uh Jeffrey Bannon Tera Ms lowski Carter chin schnit is going to be on the trip we’re all going to Labor Day uh on the bus 1930 crew look for that on Instagram um and Twitter as well the 1930 crew uh still some spots left on the bonfire bus there’s the hus bus and there’s the bomber bus that would be bomber like my last name is spelled but it could kind of be a blue bomber bus too I I guess but uh we’re going to have a lot of fun uh oh gez I lost your uh your comment there Pat oh yes DB says Pat the bombers abandoned the Run game from the start wasn’t a fan of that yeah it was the third quarter when Brady Olivera got his fifth run of the game and well they went to him tons late in the game they really went to him when they needed to um here here’s a look at uh one of uh I think this may be a couple of Brady’s runs here um pulling this up here for you guys hope you can uh hope you can see it uh when Brady gets going I mean good gracious he is tough to stop uh finding just enough space at the line of scrimmage to break through and then there it is absolutely fired up after the run uh Brady was really really big tonight uh and when they can lean on the Run game late in the game the way they have last season this season I think it serves the Blue Bombers very well it’s not just ball control it’s not just the physicality it’s the way the Blue Bombers are able to use the game clock like they keep the ball out of their opponent’s hands and that helps finish off football games um another point I’ll mention is um Winnipeg winning by four and going for two late in the game uh winig did that for a reason now DT I mentioned this to him um uh or I REM mentioned it to him because it was his his note that he found uh this was the second and final meeting of the Season between the bombers and the Stampeders West Division Rivals and it could very well come down to it being close between these two teams late in the year whatever it might be and they split the season series loss in Calgary for the Blue Bombers win in Winnipeg for the Blue Bombers but they lost by three in Calgary um on June 29th they lost 2219 so when you lose by three and you only play a team twice you need the win in the second game to even the season series but they also needed to win by four in order to hold the tiebreaker Point differential if it comes down to them needing that tiebreaker so um interesting that mik oay often so averse to taking those risks of going for two when the math and the numbers generally lead to you know teams maybe should do it more often Michael Shay is not that kind of football coach doesn’t see the game that way uh but when they needed to when they needed that fourth point they went for two and uh and they got it Tao Zen what’s going on TAA good to see you in the live chat once again always great to see you here on game day after dark still adjusting to the new offensive line they are figuring it out says tzen um yeah that could very well be it uh Zach is getting older and hopefully he does not go like Bo Levi says Andrea kohak um or kohut pardon me uh great to see Andrea um I mean Bo Levi I think is the only thing good happening for the Hamilton Tiger Cats right now who are still winless on the season um I mean I don’t see this as the beginning of the end of Zack Karis I don’t I see this has a team that is in a little bit of I won’t call it turmoil they’re in a little bit of flux right when dlan shonne went down for the season I don’t know if there was a worst thing that could have happened like one thing one thing I don’t think there is a worse single thing that could have happened to Zack colares than losing Dolton shown for the season you know you lose you know a guy on the o line or you lose your tail back or you know those sorts of things losing Dalton shown brutal safety valve safety blanket as Matt dunigan calls it um that that’s a tough one I think colaris will settle in I think he will get a little bit more comfortable with these new pieces around him there’s been a lot of continuity on this Blue Bombers offense the team as a whole really but that continuity on the off defensive line I think it’s different you know it’s different than it has been uh and I think they’re all going to come together I mean there’s no reason to be I don’t know at least in my opinion there’s no reason to really be negative and down on the Blue Bombers uh at this point I’ll just say this I think Zack kis would not disagree with me I really really do not he needs to play better and I think he will tough start to the season but uh sure helps when you get a win sure helps when you go 75% and you throw for 344 yards uh the offensive line coming into tonight the Calgary stamp Peters defense had two sacks all season and tonight they had one two sacks so they doubled their sack total in one game they’re fifth against Winnipeg um and there were moments especially in the first half where Calgary’s pass rush gave the Blue Bombers headaches fits absolutely gave him fits um so I think the o line also needs to be better would love to get your takes in the live chat on the o line on Zack Karis and uh while I give Ontario Wilson my wb’s warrior would love to get your Warrior takes out there and uh would love to uh get your Westwood wide to the right uh takes as well um Jake Thomas mentions waiters had a huge sack this is in the fourth quarter and watch Jake Thomas okay I’m gonna pull this back we’re GNA we’re gonna get some uh some replays here Jake Thomas is the I believe the right defensive tackle okay so I know it’s blurry but here he is right here second from the bottom on the dline that’s Devin Adams 94 but watch Jake work from the right defensive tackle spot he’s on the uh near hash marks he just goes double team goes goes and then hammers Jake Mayer hammers him huge sack punishing blow to the quarterback and he just doesn’t quit Okay this was in the fourth quarter and Jake Thomas has that much fuel in the tank to just go and go and go watch it again maybe a throwaway moment for some this is a special moment for those big boys in the trenches he just did not quit and while I gave my WBY Warrior to Ontario Wilson I’ll give an honorable mention I’ll give schnit WBY Warrior to Jake Thomas outstanding play outstanding play um what else do you guys want to see tonight I got all types of stuff oh oh I know what you want I think I know what you want this was quite possibly and I’m still trying to think of my Westwood wide to the right tonight um oh I I I know what my Westwood y to the right tonight is but uh first I’m going to play this this was the Touchstone moment for Ontario Wilson’s coming out party this was his 12th catch one two 12th catch of the game a beautifully placed pass from Zack Claris and the body control the ability to locate the football and then just the athleticism to finish on onario Wilson made a outstanding difficult catch look easy look at this just enough to pin it keep it off the turf and then watch his teammates there they are that’s just an awesome catch an awesome moment for Ontario Wilson uh his 12th of 13 catches for 2011 yards tonight awesome uh okay I have got my Westwood wide to the right now we know we give wb’s Warrior to the warrior of the game that’s pretty self-explanatory Westwood’s wide to the right the moment in the game that just didn’t make sense or bothered you pissed you off was weird was dumb whatever that might be let see if I’ve got the um see if I’ve got it here I sure hope I got about it um a moment in the game gosh do I have it I’m gonna find it I am G to find it um there was a moment in the game where is it this one here let me see let me see if this is the one no that’s not it uh Mich Shay chose to challenge uh oh here we go is that it I appreciate you guys sticking with me thank you uh if you haven’t yet this is a great time to uh hit the thumbs up if you haven’t subscribe uh if you’re watching on Instagram I think people are still watching on Instagram yeah we got almost 500 people watching uh right now where’s Zach Schnitzer dealing with some things tonight he will be back next week I promise um but uh yeah yeah I think we’re still live uh live on uh live on Instagram I sure hope so if you’re having trouble watching on Instagram head to YouTube look for bonfire Sports Winnipeg it’s youtube.com bonfires Sports uh and and you can find us there you can find us on Facebook as well all of our social media handles are bonfire wpg Twitter X whatever you want to call it not calling it X sorry uh on Instagram on Facebook no Tik to talk for bonfire Sports you are welcome that’s right you are welcome um The Challenge Mich Shay made in the game was confounding to me this is my Westwood wide to the right and I guess I don’t have the video I really thought I did anyway um mik oay chose to challenge on First and 10 an incomplete pass to Nick dempy and if the challenge was successful okay so demsky caught the ball two yards behind the line of scrimmage it was ruled incomplete Michael Shay challenged that it was a complete pass Michael Shay won the challenge however because it was ruled incomplete they whistled the play dead also Nick dy’s knee was down as he caught the ball so being behind the line of scrimmage catching the ball knee on the turf you’re down plays over so while Michael Shay won that challenge by winning it it was second and 12 had he lost it or not challenge it it would have been second and 10 so he challenged he gambled you could throw away your challenge and you know your time out whatever your your one CH you can only be wrong once he gambled and he won and lost two yards it ended up not uh really uh affecting the game too much but that’s my Westwood wide to the right tonight um yeah Scott Roger losing two yards on a successful challenge there it is uh love all the comments uh I’m I’m going to do my best to uh to get through to them um yeah Pat it happened uh you can challenge and lose two yards uh sard says not down by contact no but he caught the ball with the knee on the turf whistle was blown you know the whistle blew the play dead the officials blew the play dead so that’s it um G to pull this up here from uh Bobby dubo uh in coach’s defense don’t the refs usually tell him you realize if you win it’s a two- yard loss I guess they didn’t or they didn’t know uh lots of coaches have been allowed to take the flag back after speaking with the refs about upside says Bobby dubo you’re right well unfortunately that didn’t happen uh O’Shea had a challenge uh later in the game as well that was successful so uh that’s you know I mean didn’t really matter it’s definitely not your bonfire burning point but uh it was it was a moment in the game that uh didn’t make a lot of sense to me so uh that’s my Westwood wide to the right uh here is what I think could be the bonfire burning point tonight the moment in the game that changed the direction the game was going and whoops this is Tanner cadwalader blocking a Cody Grace punt coming off that left Edge cadw lader is right here unblocked you see him there he’s fourth from the left third from the left at the line of scrimmage okay here he is unblocked right to Cody Grace blocks the ball Winnipeg recovers on the 33 yd line and it wasn’t soon uh it wasn’t too long after that that the Blue Bombers got a great touchdown Drive put together by Brady bullyball Brady bullyball more Brady bullyball awesome Run game to go from the 33 to the house in four plays Brady Brady Brady Chris strer from a couple yards out for the touchdown and uh to me that was my bonfire burning point that was uh what did it in my opinion to kind of give Winnipeg that that big play that um you know sometimes they just need that that little punch uh in order to uh you know turn the tides in your favor um and yeah that’s my bonfire burning point tonight uh we’ll see what else uh we’ll see what else you guys got would love to uh uh check you in the live chat here um and see what your thoughts are on your bonfire burning point or your Western wide to the right your wb’s Warrior how about game balls um and the happy Honker got to think about the happy Honker uh this was the challenge uh later in the game that uh mik OA ended up winning um this was uh The Accidental pass interference on oh gosh who was it on we’ll get a look at it here in a second but uh Drew W Atari tripped up oh yes Brandon doer the dimeback uh picking up wall Atari uh and then their feet kind of just get caught up in one another and the reason I’m showing this is to show well the uncalled accidental pass interference tough to see at that angle there it is there there’s their feet getting caught up um but more so the reaction I’ll jump ahead here of Dave Dickinson one two three waves four waves five of them six from Dave Dickinson seven seven hog washes seven get out of here by the Calgary stem beaters head coach um hey Pi Pi and accidental pass interference is still pass interference so I mean them’s the breaks and uh yeah I mean uh I don’t know maybe we’ll give that the happy Honker award tonight what do you think did that come through oh we’ll give you two tonight we’ll give you two tonight uh would love to get you uh in the live chat uh your game balls who would you give a game ball to tonight I think there’s some obvious ones I mean um onario Wilson uh Zach Karis you know throws for 344 and goes 75% no he wasn’t perfect yes I feel he needs to play better I would love to to get more of your take you guys out there you think I’m out to lunch has Karis been like should I just shut my mouth because he played really well today or do you think he needs to play better than he did today I think he needs to play better than he did today um yeah game balls uh I’ll give well you know what Jake Thomas deserving of a game ball oh gosh now I’m remembering um so there’s the catch by uh Ontario Wilson the one we just showed a moment ago incredible then it was followed up by this and I’ll just play this sequence here um as Winnipeg has the ball kind of in the score zone they’re sitting at the 23 here after hitting Ontario Wilson there’s a nice Crossing route to uh drewell lari that sets them up here and of course the trailing by uh trailing by four at this point but great job by possession receiver to make a possession catch and that being Drew otari with the nice kind of drag route Crossing route uh and then Nick dempy to the house for karis’s second touchdown pass of the game his second touchdown pass of the season is that someone in Pittsburgh Steelers t-shirt shirt and Steelers hat in the crowd weird anyway uh there’s Nick dempy trotten in and the decision here okay they’re leading by two you kick the single and you’re up by three with three minutes left but no they say we’re going to gamble we’re going to go for two and there’s Nick dempy catching from qb1 Zack Karis for the two-point conversion not just a gutsy call but the right call and I just noticed this here I just noticed this guys watch Nick demsky okay he’s right there behind Stanley Bryant he’s in the back field right under the crossbar okay watch him I think he’s like oh his timing was a little bit off sometimes players come a little early or come a little late and that shotgun snap can hit them it’s already happened this year I think it happened to Calgary earlier this year in uh one of their earlier games um but demsky is like whoop but it didn’t deter him he still found the separation and gets the two-point convert huge play and just a great DEC decision to gamble by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers because they win by four they tie the season series with the Stampeders but in winning by four they have the tiebreaker in the future uh in case they need it against the Calgary stamp Peters that’s why they went for two uh I’ll give a game ball to mik OA and his coaching staff for that decision what do you guys think of that not too bad not too bad I think that’s pretty good um do I got another onario Wilson uh play here I do I like this one this was a nice wide receiver screen pass to Ontario Wilson uh late in the second quarter his ability to run with the football very nice I know I was drawing com you know you guys were drawing comparisons to Carlton agad DOI agad DOI couldn’t do that sorry Carlton agad DOI couldn’t do that with the football in his hands uh couldn’t do that in space onario Wilson makes a couple guys miss there and nearly gets out of uh you know breaking another couple tackles uh worth another look I think this is just great running after the catch great job in space from the rookie wide receiver onario Wilson uh he gets a game ball tonight he gets a game ball well look at this here I’ll straighten that out how’s that okay um Sergio Castillo I’ll give him a game ball tonight for this surge lined it up and nailed it from 57 he set the new franchise record with a 60 yarder couple weeks ago tonight nails from 57 game ball for Sergio Castillo awesome um and I will give my final game ball last but definitely not least to the one man I probably hype up more than anybody here on bonfire Sports I met his daughter this year her his daughter gave my dog her little toy doll because she was playing with my dog at practice it was an outdoor practice she was just in love with my dog having fun with her you know mom and daughter were up from Florida um and she’s like I want Ruby to have this Ruby’s my dog and gave this little stuffy sweetest little girl obviously raised right uh he is a Allstar on the field and clearly off the field as well um and that is Dietrich Nichols and Dietrich got tested in the second quarter and Dietrich made Jake mayor pay pick six right at the 55 yd line 55 yards to the house goes who I call the human tarpine he is a tarp he covers everything and as you will see in the replay in a second here Dietrich Nichols almost ah what’s the term he like dares Jake Mayer to throw the ball and he sits back and he waits and then he jumps on the opportunity watch him here here’s Dietrich Nichols waiting waiting and then he jumps on it that’s called jumping a route so here’s Dietrich the inside halfback so he is uh right on the 50 marker as you can see in the top left of your screen and he is behind Mark and Michelle he’s trying to get behind Mark and Michelle because he doesn’t want Mark and Michelle to catch the ball and then beat him right so Dietrich is behind the receiver not beside the receiver but at that point he’s like I can jump this route he jumps it perfectly Dietrich Nichols should be a CFL Allstar every damn year and we don’t say his name enough because plain and simple when you’re a defensive back in professional football and nobody throws in your direction or else something like that happens don’t say your name a lot so a lot of people don’t know about Dietrich Nichols Dietrich Nichols has been an absolute stud in this Blue Bombers defensive backfield since he joined this team in 2019 over and over again just lock down and this year he missed a game due to injury shoulder first game he has ever missed in his CFL career the guy is a beast can’t say enough about him last and definitely not least game ball to Dietrich Nicholls uh really loved uh that that play I mean how can you not love a pick six 55 yards to the house uh that was awesome um yeah I mean Tanner cadwalader with uh with with the punt block uh I think is uh also you know uh really really strong play um and you know I thought it was very trademark or it’s come to be very on brand for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to just pound the football run run run run and stuff it down their opponent’s throat uh late in games to kill the clock to keep possession to be physical and keep hitting but this was second and 10 and a bit of a I don’t know would you call it a wobbly pass maybe not the best pass not the crispest crisp crispest crispiest not the most crisp execution but that second down conversion on second and 10 with under a minute remaining and Winnipeg on their own 39 that was huge that locked the game down but the bombers did that after it was Brady Brady Brady Brady just running the football over and over and over again um it was just uh you know I don’t know how people feel at the stadium when there’s like three four minutes left in the game and Winnipeg is on offense and they are just pounding the rock pounding it just unrelenting I I would like to know what it’s like in the stadium when that’s ha 1. insane game, Wilson absolutely killed it. collaros looking like we expect him to, another great game for Oliveira as well. defense was rough though

  2. i think O'Shea challenged that to make the refs look at it again and see how stupid it was to blow the whistle, I think it was honestly out of spite

  3. Just on my sober 2nd listen. Fun night at the stadium last night. Wilson performance was a coming out party. Brady closing down games in vintage fashion. Wally with some clutch catches and demski finding space on those game winning points was great to see.

I like the pieces we have in the secondary but need to find a way to increase pressure on opposing QBs to make their life's easier.

Jury out on bighills effectiveness. Love the player and all he's done for franchise but seems to have lost a step. Hope he can find another gear. 💪

  4. It was my first game since I moved back home. First time in 15yrs, and first at Princess Auto. It was awesome!!

  5. Zach has been very flat but that may because he lost his 2 favorite starters. No different than when he first arrived and had to find who the players are.

  6. I believe the Bombers waited for the defensive line was whacked out from the heat. Hence more carries in 2nd half

  7. I'm Back from my camping trip from Nutimik Lake DB! It was fantastic it was really relaxing sorry im really late on this game but im always going to comment on every post game show! anyway you know me I like to ramble. Great game!!!!!!! amazing to come back to the city and watch a fantastic football game but more importantly a win! Hope too see Zach on the show on Friday I love listening to you guys talk but hey you know life, gotta deal with things sometimes! Ontaria Wilson was really really really good! Zach C. was not bad at all! 1st int was not really Zach's fault the ball was tipped I didn't see that on tv so thank you when the ball is tipped it affects the ball flight a lot if the defender gets a good piece of it 2nd int. your right, Zach was way off on the throw. This season Zach hasn't been good enough but he had a good not fantastic but a good game on Friday! O line has to be better for sure. DB think about it like this most players in mid 30s sometimes earlier not all, but some regress it just happens and when people say Zach is getting old or getting worse well first of all its hard to tell with the injures and new guys on this blue bomber offense but I am just saying there is a chance they could be right. Thanks as always for delivering an amazing postgame show I always love watching these. One thing I will say is I've shared your channel with a couple family members so I'm trying to help this channel grow! P.S. my mom likes listening to Zach talk on the post game show lol
