man of the moment Joe Hart thanks for coming over Joe let you do your hello poing here Joe I mean what an incredible day can you sum it up from walking that trophy down the scenes inside here it’s been incredible for you yeah it really has um more than I ever could have asked for or ever wanted I just wanted to come here and play and be a part of this incredible place that’s that’s all I wanted I just wanted to be a part of it what an absolute what an absolute football club uh I’m truly honored to play for it and um it’s a sad day but it’s the right time and we were able to smile today but we got work to do we got a lot of work to do this week these three are going to try and convince you to stay for another year you ready for it Joe is it the right time though yeah I mean your form has been excellent this season from my perspective how can you walk away from this this season so I got to a point um obviously I had very good 20s football was really good and then I struggled bit in terms of my place uh and then I got this opportunity which I couldn’t I couldn’t turn down um but I didn’t I didn’t know how it was going to play out and and the three years I wanted to commit and give everything to and I got to a point in my life where I was potentially on the way out and then I got another opportunity I don’t want to push that luck I just want to finish strong I want to finish in this special place a part of this special Club um and and I think I think that’s me I think I think it’s my time to move aside and let someone else have some fun hey you’re longterm TI big man you know you’re a long time retired and you given so much to the club not only on the field but off the field and when you go in that dressing room and you burst out crry don’t worry about it well done it you know what I mean because it gets to you and it gets in your blood and I think it’s get in your blood no it does uh I’m I’m super emotional because it’s not just me you know you know guys what at the end of your career it’s not just you is it it’s your family it’s your friends who’ve been with you for through everything and they represent you and and I try to represent them as best I can and we’re totally in love with this place and I’m not you know I’m not I’m not afraid to cry I I love it and um I’m super proud to be here Joel was it physical or mental then um it’s definitely not physical I feel fine I just I just felt like this was my moment this I I said it you’re wrong you’re you talk care of it you know well I thought I it was I had to tell I felt really uncomfortable knowing it and not telling the manager or telling the lads so I wanted to say it and I just wanted everyone to understand that I was doing it but I intended to work hard and be at my Peak if you like when I finished um and like I said we got one more week to go now how much have you enjoyed it since saying it out loud looks like you it since you’ve announced the house a been I I pulled Stevie Woods after the samiran cup game uh and I I went I took him on the pitch and I went to tell him and I couldn’t I was absolutely crying and he thought there was like a I don’t know family emergency or something and I imagine to I managed to snivel out what I was doing um so obviously you know he was shocked but very understanding I appreciate the understanding of this place and um it just felt like the right time has it been a moment when you’ve been playing you thought that’s it did you did you get that and I have head at Lo and I completely missed it I’m that’s it Lenny that is it yeah I think there there is definitely moments I’m not at the peak of my Powers but I I was able to always be ready for the game but whereas previously my whole life father you know me like I’ve loved it I wanted to be out there shooting arguing with Strikers having answer now getting tripped yeah not getting tripped yeah getting chipped and getting angry now I get chipped and I just kind of say Well done so that’s when you know Let it go I I know that the next phase would probably be next season there’ll be moments where i’ be getting to games and I wouldn’t quite be right and and then I’ve got all this pressure of you have to Clan and play Joe he’s committed and I didn’t want to put Brendan under any of that pressure and I love him for how he’s appreciated the fact that I’ve I’ve told him what I wanted to do and and I’ve I’ve been able to do it and and are you worried Joe you’re going to regret it though hey look life’s life’s about making decisions and I stand by them there there will be a moment Chris I’m sure next year 2 years time when I’m thinking this this is your day here today and your final day here and it scenes when you came out for the second half oh my I didn’t even know I was I I wasn’t looking for it and then I saw it this place honestly they they really know how to get to you did you ever imagine that you would have created this Affinity up here in Glasgow with a with a Cel never like I said I didn’t want anything anything other than a bit of look at that jeez I’m you you had a little thump of your head there just because I’m trying to play there’s two different people there’s a you know what I mean there’s a guy who just came from shury and loves his family and loves his children and there’s an absolute there’s that lunatic there who wants to play football and wants to fight and get stuck in so it’s it’s hard to be both and it’s really hard to focus but um at the same time it was a great day today I thought exceptional to win the game having let two you know poor goals should sa the penalties yeah yeah I was I was reaching I was I was an old man dive that I could feel it well there is one big one to come Jo but I’m sure you’ll always be welcome back to Celtic Park here with these supporters and huge congratulations on your career your season and uh all the best in the club final Fant [Music]
