I prefer parkland, tree-lined golf courses for purely golf – customer experience aside. This is Houghton Golf Course, which was revamped. It was the ULTIMATE golf course for me when i was younger because it was so exclusive and held a big tournament. Thai courses and others around SE Asia are a bit different in terms fo grasses, heat, design and greens…. in fact I do prefer EXPERIENCING GOLF in South East Asia because the experience is so much more fun. It’s far more fun and entertaining and laid back in Asia and from arriving at the course to leaving you feel like a champion. Briliant.

Parkland treelined, courses are my favorite
1. Depth perception is WAY easier
2. Backdrops give you more information about what’s ahead.
3. Bent grass greens in temperate climates are far easier and smoother to putt on. Tropical grasses are so different between species and characteristics from one course to the next.
4. There is WAY less water than on a Thai golf course.
5. Designs are often more intricate and have more unique features.
6. If the ball goes in the trees, you find it. In Thailand, you take a drop at the water hazard because there is no forest, just water.
7. Greens are much quicker on bent grass in temperate climates which makes putting more fun
But Thai and South East Asian courses are WAYYYY MORE FUN. The experience is totally different and much better than anything I have experienced elsewhere
