actual ninja started around 1300 roughly that’s the first time we ever hear about them in history their Heyday is the 1500s which in Japan is the Waring period That’s when everybody’s using them and basically a ninja is not different to a samurai it is a samurai or an officer an NCO or Rank and file type at the front and they are trained in specific Commando spy tactics every Samurai Amy uses them some are actual Samurai and they are literally a mixture of Espionage and sabator and infiltrator basically uh ninjas divide into many categories same as Samurai so you would have something called a kja which means like it’s a classic spy they would go out and um start a business in the enemy’s area a couple of years before you wanted to invade them they create an intelligence Network that way and meet local spies and be sending information back as much as possible then you would have Ninja who defend the samurai camp on the match you know the campaign their military base they would be ninja defending it and they would just be wearing armor as normal there’s no difference and then of course at night when everybody’s camping and the entire Army is on the Move you’ve got uh these ninja are sleeping in the day and they’re going out at night most likely lightly armored they have no uh helmet crests on they have uh shorter weapons and sometimes they say even don’t have armor on because it’s too noisy or if you are going to wear armor you have to wrap it up with cloth leather things like that it’s really quite military people don’t realize how quite similar it is to today
