YouTube tonight from East field and Glenn’s Falls as the Outlaws trying to make it two in a row before they get a couple of days off not going to be an easy task see as Glenn’s Falls dragons team here on the road Onana last night they got their first win at home since June 19th which there’s a lot of background with that June 19th game that we’ll roll into all throughout the broadcast but onlyi had not won at home since juneth against this Glenn’s Falls dragons Team final score that night was 14 to4 as the Outlaws got it done in eight Innings because the mercy run rule 10 runs are later after seven Innings and so the Outlaws pushing across the 14th run in the bottom of the eighth courtesy of an Ethan gloss RBI single they manag to wrap that game off and get the victory that night that also gives the Outlaws a 3 nothing series lead against lens Falls so far this summer as there’s eight total meetings on the schedule between the Outlaws and Dragons this season tonight will be game four Onana last night winning at home three nothing against Booneville which again was a bit of a Revenge game as Tuesday night Booneville came into the outlaw house grabbed a 129 Victory Onana Le 82 as late as the end of the fifth inning but the Boonville Lumber Jabs got the bat to around Alan scoring 10 of the last 11 runs to get the Victory and so it was huge For the Outlaws to get the win last night send the home crowd smiling before the team came on the road tonight and is not back at home until Wednesday when it will be free night NBT ban sponsoring free general admission at damasi field on Wednesday night so make sure you mark it on your calendar a free night Wednesday against the same Len Falls dragons team 7 o’clock start you’re not going to want to miss it but last night we said that this outlaw team sent the home crowd smiling and that was led by the pitching staff co-players of the game last night the first one Caleb kler got the start went five innings surrender just one hit one walk and struck out six he was perfect through five innings for Onana and my apologies Caleb might have played a little bit of a Jin starting off that sixth inning said you threw up all zeros on your stat line so far with sitk but then came right out and gave up a hit to lead off that bottom of or top of this hit inning excuse me as the Outlaws were the homeside last night gave up a walk as well and then was pulled for our second co-player of the game Mr Martin thorland who in Outlaw terms talking to some of the guys in the clubhouse has been shoving as of late for inning pitch two hits and struck out seven last night Martin thorsland has been absolutely phenomenal and he’s a guy who Josiah ASA praised heavily in our coach’s interview earlier on today but certainly the pitchers did some great stuff last night but also we had some great Fielding work some great bat plays and here’s your first play of the game from yesterday’s three nothing Victory Brody Raley waiting on Dent behind Matt Carrera here in this outlaw half of the fifth at third is Moyes milman stands at second and Nick Delio’s at first bad setp from the stretch McWilliams again Carrera looking out towards right with this one shallow ball going to fall just inside the line Mo chugs on in to score everybody else held up and it’s a two nothing lead here in the fifth Matt Carrera with a big RBI single to give the outlaw some insurance luckily though base is still loaded milman at third Delio at second now Carrera at first for Brody Raleigh so Matt Carrera have yourself a day yesterday comes up with that big RBI single the double out the onlyi on a lead to two nothing Outlaws got on the board in the bottom half of the first and well it was pretty fluky Matt Carrera got a watch stole second we had a wild pitch that got him to third had a walk and then a double steal like attempt with d and Carrera and with Dale getting caught between first and second base was able to buy time to get the run two score in that bottom half of the first inning so the Outlaws took a one- nothing lead and then did not score again until the bottom of the fifth on that Matt Carrera RBI single but Matt Carrera having a great night yesterday in the field as well for the outlaw as here is our second and final play of the game from last night this eth definitely not the start thorsland wanted to this half inning but he’s always a guy who can battle back and he’s got a solid defense behind him that could turn a double play in an instant Batman’s at third Carrera at Short Delio at second and Harrison over there at first as this outlaw infield continues to shine bright slow bouncer right up the middle speaking of double plays Carrera the turn to First In Time Matt Carrera the six to three double play oh baby so a heck of a double play flipped up the middle by Matt Carrera who will be in the lineup again for Keaton Mark and Josiah aska as the last game prior to this little midseason break we’re past the Midway Point Onana coming into tonight going to sit at 1412 and two after the victory yesterday Team game 28 and this is their 14th game away from home Onana on the road this season has been better than their home Mart believe it or not everybody loves playing in front of the damasi field crowd but I’ve had some tough rats in terms of home game so far so the split 8 and five on the road for Onana entering this evening and they are 67 and two at home but before we go any further on our pregame show we have to flip it on down to Evan stoba from earlier this afternoon got a chance to talk to him before we got on the bus to come up here to East Fields tooba had a lot to say about his first season as an outlaw so stay with us Evans stoba net stop here on Outlaws pregame Colby Smith and I’m super excited to be joined today by Outlaws reliever Evan stoba Evan your first season here is an outlaw so far what’s the experience been like uh it’s been pretty fun uh getting a lot of innings uh the boys are we’re doing pretty good uh just getting to know everyone’s pretty fun a lot of guys from the hometown just meshing with each other it’s going pretty great well and you mentioned Hometown you’re from local Jefferson so having that connection having those local ties what’s that been like in making this experience more special uh it’s it’s making the team a lot easier to like interact with everyone and pretty much know like what other kids are going to do and seeing everyone pretty much play so it’s it’s a lot easier that way well and if any of the fellas in the locker room leaned on you or ask you questions about where to go and what to do around here uh couple guys are like talking about where to go for food so I know a lot of different places for that uh a lot of different hangout spots and stuff to like activity wise and in terms of your experience here overall you talked about bonding together uh everybody seems to have their things that they like to do around here what kind of things have you uh asked other fellas to do or you know tried to get going in the locker room uh I mean asked a couple guys go golfing that’s like the main thing that us baseball players try to do on the weekends uh been out to eat a few times just hanging out what’s the go-to golf spot around here for you uh I go to the golf spot right by my house uh Stanford golf course but uh oie out that’s a nice one get a lot of time out there what kind of other things you like to do besides golf when you’re not here at the Ballpark uh I work a lot and I like to go fishing a lot on the week when I’m not playing and in terms of talking about playing you mentioned you’ve gotten a lot of innings for this team so far this summer uh how has the workload been like how have you adjusted to it so far uh I mean it’s a bit more than what I had in college CU as a relever didn’t really get that much but uh here been pitching two three Innings here and there uh it’s it’s feeling great everything’s going good well what kind of adjustments do you have to make from your college season coming here for the summer you know picking up X trainings like this uh just getting more long TOS in getting the arm feeling uh better looser to uh get more workload in on it well and what kind of things have you specifically been targeting or working on so far this summer uh a lot of long toss uh hitting the weight room a lot more getting my legs bigger better stronger get my arm healthier what kind of things have you uh learned from other guys so far about approaches or what kind of things have the coaches taught you this summer uh just staying healthy keeping things clean and just not get too upset if you have a bad outing just keep riding it because they’ll all turn better well and speaking of that sort of turn it seems like the atmosphere amongst the boys always a positive one what’s it been like being part of such a positive culture and a culture that’s uh gone so well for the team so far it’s just great everything everything’s awesome here uh the guys lift you up if you have a bad start they keep you rolling if you’re doing good it’s just everything’s great here well and being from Jefferson uh going to Herer coming here to Onana how has being local kind of affected your choices for where you’ve played ball so far to this point uh I mean it’s all been within an hour and a half in my house like all the places I’ve been uh it’s just you get to see your parents all the time family comes to the game support you local friends all come to the games just makes it 10 times better and specifically talking about friends and family being here at games what’s the atmosphere like playing at damasc field compared to other places you played I I’d love it here this place is nice uh when the lights come out just the atmosphere makes it 10 times better here and last night you guys got the win in front of the crowd here at home for the first time in a couple weeks what was the feeling like in the dug out after the game yesterday everyone was in great spirits uh pitchers did their thing hitters had timely hitting when we needed it and uh I think we’re looking to roll forward who do you think’s really stepped up here for this team as of recently uh Martin thorsen’s been doing great pitching wise he’s only given a couple runs in his last few outings he’s been he’s been dealing great and moving forward after this game tonight uh you guys going to have three-day off day what kind of things are you guys going to be doing over the course of the off days in terms of keeping your ready to get back to atching Wednesday uh a lot of lifting lot of staying healthy eating good staying hydrated maybe throw some golf in there just trying to stay healthy for the week and one last question here before I let you get back to it this Leng Falls dragons a team that you guys have really taking care of business against so far this summer uh what have you seen playing Glen Falls so far this season and what’s the club P expecting here tonight uh we played them pretty sure we’ve beaten them a few times we’re just looking to go in there stay positive just Falls Colby Smith back here on another Outlast coaches interview with assistant coach Josiah ASA coach big allaround effort for the boys last night against Booneville what were some of the biggest things you guys took away yesterday um great pitching you know being competitive in the zone and making making hitters swing at pitches that they not they necessarily didn’t want to well and talking about great pitching Caleb kler most impressive start for him so far this season what do you think was really working for him last night everything everything is working and Martin thorsland comes out of the bullpen behind him last night thorsland has been absolutely phenomenal for you guys want to just talk a little bit about the impact that he’s had so far he’s really good um having a returner to come back and Pitch very confident like he is it’s just amazing to see in all around the pitching has been a strength for the boys as of recently you want to just talk a little bit about what you and coach Mark have seen from the pitching staff lately um just trying to get them to be competitive early and uh force people to swing so um a thing that we ran into which was a problem was just getting guys o02 and then somehow allowing them to get to a Full Count and then every single batter being at a full count so just getting guys o02 and trying to get them out well and what kind of adjustments does a pitcher have to make working ahead O2 like that and you know like you said maybe throwing a couple of balls and then having a fight back just knowing when you’re 02 you know you only have really one waist pitch and from there attack a guy hard in with a fast ball or actually throw something that you know you’ll get weak contact rather than trying to get a strike out one how reassuring has it been for you two as coaches that is pitching staff maybe on a night where you have quite a few arms available you have a night like last night where you only have to use two guys it’s good it’ll help us in days like this where we have a long break and some guys want to go home you know we can be more confident and saying we might not necessarily need you so you can go home and letting guys go enjoy family time and you talk about that lawn break how fluky or how weird is it to have three days off like this in the middle of the season it’s it’s really weird you know especially when we look two weeks from now where we have six game streak and seven game streak it’s it’s really weird to have these three off days and then a game and another off day so it’s really like a five day break kind of sort of it’s different well and what kind of things the all the guys in the clubhouse have to do you know to keep themselves fresh and you know stay ready to get back out on the field take a break but you know still get their swings in it is still baseball time so not not fully removing themselves from the game of baseball but uh being able to take a couple hours out of the day and work on something well one guy who I talked specifically about with adjustments and things he’s been working on yesterday comes up with three hits yesterday Marco Moes he’s really turned it on at the plate lately you want to just talk about what you’ve seen from him just adjustments pitch to pitch rather than that bat to that bat is helping him a lot um minor mechanical things just timing basis but he’s good well on the other side of the ball the defense yesterday another Prime showing how great has it been to have such a strong infield out there it’s good sorry to cut you off Joe but we’re going to roll right into things here at East field they’re going to waste no time getting us started we get the anthem we get the first pitch and now it’s going to be Onana at the bat here in the top of the first is Matt Carrera going to lead things off Carrera playing Short Stop tonight for the Outlaws has really solidified himself a spot at the top of this outlaw order he sees Orlando Leon who is the starter for the dragons is Leon from the first base side and that one shot off foul by Carrera to begin the ball game Carrera 14 games played he’s hitting 289 13 for 45 overall is Leon bat set ready for his 01 kitson delivers is Carrera going to spray this one up past the light pole and out of the ballp part so he’ll fall behind nothing and two The Outlaw lineup Kyle kakamiss playing second going to follow him jacobe Dale’s going to bat third this first inning playing Center Leon 02 going to miss slow away outside and it’ll go one ball in two strikes Carrera coming off a one for three night last night with an RBI a walk and a stolen base against Booneville onew Carrera a little slow Tapper over towards third scooped by woo fired over to Griffin in time and that will be a 5 to3 putaway for out one nice read by woo over there to scoop that one and bring that hand down and make sure that he held possession of that ball and a power throw over to first for the five to3 put away to get Carrera and so it’s Kyle kakam Miss to now hit with one away kakam miss the Lefty hitting 211 for Onana so far but a smaller sample size than most as he’s played just six games and kakam miss going to call time before he even sees a pitch Leon entering the night he’s got a 631 erra a one and three record as his first pitch to kakamiss drilled out towards left and going to take a big curve in foul territory over the bleachers so it’ll be nothing in one kakamiss has already played against lens Falls once as on the 27th of June he went two for four with a run and a strike out right up here at East field 0 one offering from Leon kakamiss straight up the middle to to stip off the Mount Diving play by kleinan and he’s going toat that one as kacis gets down the line quickly so he’ll be on base with one away in the top of the first as they should score that one as a single took a bounce off the left side of the mountain and rolled out to kleinan would have been a tough play and they do indeed give a single so now it’ll be jacobe Dale one on with one out for the big three hole guy for this outlaw roster looking over the shoulder to First Dale first pitch hacking towards short Wednesday the 19th the only matchup that’s happened at damasi so far 14 to four win in eight Innings and then on Thursday the 27th the last time these two met up it was a 12-2 Outlaw win in seven Innings so these two squads have yet to play a full nine inning ball game against each other here in 2024 and the dragons hoping they can fine-tune that and change that up tonight here in front of their big home crowd on a Saturday night at East field the dragons have played a lot of baseball at home so far this season they’re two and eight so far in East field as two other three wins have come strikeouts in an 88 tie against mohw Valley on the fourth he was off yesterday is the 1 oh skips in the dirt but it’s kept in front by Night who’s behind the plate so the count will be two balls no strikes catch boa and cesped is let to right in the outfield for Glenn Falls tonight there’s a little turn towards the Dugout Leon takes his sweet time now the 2-0 pitch down the first Baseline in Armstrong’s been really impressive despite what the numbers say for the outlaw so far this summer he’s a hard worker he’s always the first guy to get to the field and he’s always the guy who’s asking you know what can I do better what can I improve on and just what can I do to help this team Chase Armstrong is that kind of player for this Onana Outlaw roster Armstrong plays first tonight as he first pitch hats out to right going to take a couple of Skips and roll down in front of CPUs Armstrong’s going to have a one out single and now there’s two on with one away Connelly gets on Via walk Armstrong singles and Jaden Ross the extra hitter going to bat next Ross 0 for three with a run Perell watts and a strike out on the fourth of July and the 88 tie against the diamond DS Outlaws if you forgot rallied bad from all the way down 7even nothing after the that top half of the first inning to tie things up 88 in the bottom of the ninth had their opportunity to win it in the 10th but couldn’t come through as they had bases loaded with just one out situational hitting has remained a struggle for this team late in ball games as Ross settles in Connelly at second Armstrong at first and Leon now forced to work from the stretch here on the top of the second and Ross immediately going to have to call time and step out Ross hitting 217 on the summer so far for Onana he’s another one of those guys who’s taken on a big leadership role for this team but he’s a more vocal leader always pulling guys aside trying to help them with their swing help them with their defense as Leon going to miss with this one in tight to the knees for ball one Ross even in batting practice today was trying to help Matt Carrera tighten things up in the Bots and Carrera has been getting good barrels on Ball but Ross is just one of those guys who’s a baseball genius and always manages to help get the best out the guys around him as the count now two balls no strengths a lot of guys you’ve heard it in our pregame interviews have said Jaden Ross has been the go-to leader on this team a lot of guys have thrown out jacobe Dale’s name as well cckl the second the 2 low and Away ball three and it’s crazy enough that Jobe Dale and Jaden Ross have kind of taking on a new friendship this summer those guys always spending a lot of time together on off days even coming to the ballp part together every so often is a long look to Second the three o low and away for ball four so the bases will be full of Outlaws here in this top of the second for jet baitman Connelly advances to third Armstrong gets to Second and Ross now going to be at first for baitman and we get an early trip out to the mound from first year head coach man Dio Doo trying to recruit the best he could for this team this summer 23 different colleges represented on the Glen Falls dragons 2024 roster which is much higher than last year dragons got groups of two three guys from a college last year but a lot of singles represented on their roster this summer so guys not having teammates come along with them something the dragon’s probably going to let to change moving forward but can’t think about next year as of now you still got a lot of baseball to play here this summer game 28 for Onana tonight game 25 for Glenn Falls as they’re going to have a couple of double headers coming up baitman settles into the box base is loaded and every Outlaw wants to run baitman first pitch swinging right on out to the pitcher forc to home and there will be a one to three Force out at the so the bases will still be full as Leon going to night with that one for out two it’ll be beatman on Via fielder’s choice and we’ll see what Jeremy tager can do in the nine spot in the order bid spot is the Outlaws trying to get the jump
