Camilo Villegas is a Colombian professional golfer who became famous as the “Spiderman golfer” for his unique style of lying down and reading the green before putting. Playing on the PGA Tour at the age of 42 in 1982, he had already achieved the Amateur Grand Slam at the age of 16 and was a successful golf hero in Colombia.
Camilo graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2004 and turned professional the same year. He entered the Masters at the top of the money list and won his first trophy at the Coca-Cola Tokai Classic in September 2007. He has won five PGA tournaments, with his most recent victory being at the Bermuda Championship in November 2023.
Additionally, on July 26, 2020, his 22-month-old daughter sadly passed away after a battle with a tumor. He received tremendous support and condolences from the PGA community, the sports world, and fans in Colombia. Despite this tragedy, he made a successful comeback and returned to the PGA Tour this season through the Korn Ferry Tour.

또한그는 2020년 7월 26일 22개월 된 딸이 종양과의 싸움 끝에 안타까운 사망으로 PGA 커뮤니티, 스포츠계, 콜롬비아의 팬들에게 엄청난 애도와 지원을 받기도 하면서 재기에 성공하며 콘베리투어를 통해 올시즌 다시 PGA투어에서 활동하고 있습니다.
