hi friends Tinker golfman here and today I’ll be highlighting the Air Jordan 9g or the golf shoe um very iconic basketball shoe in the Michael Jordan era um 1993 1994 Michael Jordan first retired and tried to switch his career over from uh basketball over to baseball but the iconic Air Jordan 9 was still not forgotten on the hardwood floor so Air Jordan 9 let’s take a look at them and let’s see how this shoe looks like on the golf course um I’ll be showing multiple color iterations and kind of giving the story behind some of the newest Air Jordan n golf shoes uh for you guys to take a look at all right so starting off with the OG colorway of the Air Jordan 9 originally released in 9394 NBA season um MJ did not get to wear this pair uh in play in the NBA because again he was switching his career over from uh basketball over to Baseball playing for the minor league team known as the Birmingham Barons uh who was associated with the Chicago White Socks now this colorway or this silhouette is featured also on the statue dedicated to MJ just outside of the United Center in Chicago and has been retroed uh a couple times now thank you all right another iconic colorway for the Air Jordan 9 uh also known as the Air Jordan 9 cool gray originally released in October 2012 Michael did get to use this colorway during his tenure when he returned back to the NBA uh this time with the Washington Wizards uh this shoe colorway has been retroed multiple times now and is a fan favorite for many Jordan collectors this silhouette of the air jordan9 golf is an interesting one uh it’s an O to the Interstate 74 highway that crosses through the heart of North Carolina about 15 miles west of Pinehurst which is this site 2024’s uh of the US Open of golf uh you’ll be able to see burnt orange um colorways as it appears on the shoe primary lace Choice um the typical Jumpman heel and outsole logos uses a new color with a new 74 embroidery embellishment um the 74 symbol also shows up with the Jordan in place of the word Interstate uh is placed on both the heel and the insole and the tongue is replaced with a Wings Jordan logo instead of the traditional Air Jordan hit last but not least is my favorite Air Jordan 9 colorway uh and has an interesting story um former Jordan brand vice president Gentry Humphrey who helped create some of the most iconic Jordan Silhouettes out there um wanted to Envision what was next for the Jordan brand and what it would look like for the 2024 Masters so he called up Steve Thompson from Happy Life Wood who’s known for creating these amazing iconic 3D Recreations some of them uh utilizing the iconic Jordan Silhouettes in Creation with real wood so this pair of Air jordanite golf shoes uh pays homage to the old school way that golf clubs were made with permen Apple Holly and beachwoods you’ll see the unique colors grain patterns and textures of the golf shoe throughout all right guys there it is Air Jordan 9g in different colorways um shout out to all the people that were able to create these wonderful Air Jordan shoes uh for the golf course and again um you could purchase these right now on nike.com or um or at your local retailer if they still have pairs but regardless I hope you guys enjoyed the video and we’ll catch you on the next one
