NFL ON NBC | Jim Harbaugh Is Having An IMEDIATE IMPACT On LA Chargers And Justin Herbert
#nfllive #nflnews #lachargers

Coast I went to see the Chargers and the Rams last week and then I saw the the Washington commanders uh this past week and it’s just fun to be there uh obviously Jim Harbaugh with the Chargers uh brings a completely different presence to that organization I think they’re really excited about that um they’re they’re talking a lot about how all the players were there for the entire off season one thing that was very noticeable to me it didn’t surprise me one bit because har Ball’s an old school guy I went out to practice and they were practicing football uh it was organized it was fastpaced the drills were clean the guys were running from drill to drill they knew what to do they practiced hard they practiced well they finished things and again didn’t surprise me there’s a lot of Veteran coaches on his staff guys who have been around for a long time you know they drafted Joe Al with the first pick offensive lineman from from Notre Dame with pick number five and and to me that’s an indicator of what they want their organization to be going forward they’re they’re going to Value offense and defensive lineman they’re going to Value running the football they’re going to try to take pressure off of Justin Herbert and uh the question becomes do they have the skill around Herbert you know no more Mike Williams no more Keenan Allen so you know as they’re trying to become a stronger more physical team the question will be are they skillful enough they certainly are quarterback but there’s no question it’s a new day and a new feeling with the Chargers I went to the Rams the next day and uh a little bit like we’re not gonna talk about the Rams we’re talking about the Chargers okay so this is um uh a really cool sound bite that I wanted to highlight because if you listen to what Jason Garrett is saying he’s highlighting the presence that Jim Harbaugh brings to the Chargers and it’s I’ve been trying to talk about um obviously Jason Garrett has a lot more firsthand knowledge than I ever will but the Chargers because a lot of people want to blame Justin Herbert for the Chargers failures which I just it it just makes my head want to explode quite honestly that we just think that these players should be able to succeed no matter the circumstance no matter the environment around them no matter the coaches um the RO or whatever it may be cuz people want to be like well he has weapons or what about this or what about that you know and it’s just like it’s just it’s just nonsense to me football is such a complicated sport most people in in your life you don’t even know like 30 people in your life right like you’ve never I mean the last time that you’ve you’ve even had 30 people in the same room of all people that you know it has probably you haven’t probably done it since you were in in grade school maybe College if you went to college outside of that like let’s not act like you guys know what it’s like to be able to do all this and yet a football team not only the roster of 50 plus guys but then all of the staff it is a complicated Beast with a million moving Parts some coaches really know Ball but they don’t know how to coach and do any of this other type of stuff other people know how to coach and they’re great organizing but they don’t know the X’s and O’s or they don’t maybe they know the ex’s AOS but they don’t know how to manage personalities it’s such a complicated beast and that’s where the Chargers have been going wrong for years and this is everything that Jim Harbaugh knows how to do because he’s also coached in so many different environments from vastly different College Programs obviously have turned them all around as well as Pros in San Francisco right so like Jim Harbaugh knows exactly what he’s doing he knows how to manage and Coach professional athletes and personalities and a coaching staff how to get a coaching staff an elite coaching staff he knows exactly what he’s doing he has this team he’s able to look at this team and know exactly what’s wrong and what they need and it was funny because people tried to call him out for drafting an O lineman and he’s thinking like what are you talking about what did you want me to do like because people were talking about oh like is he going to draft JJ McCarthy like people are so obsessed with all the smoke and mirrors all the fo’s gold everything that is just all sparkly and glittery when in reality Harbaugh knows exactly what it takes to win he knows that in order to win it’s in the trenches that you that if you have someone like a Justin Herbert you need to have a great gritty offensive line because if you buy Justin Herbert time in the pocket who’ll be able to pick apart the the defense he understands that I mean what is everyone say about the one year that Patrick Mahomes did not win the Super Bowl they don’t say well hey Tom Brady unless like people are really big Tom Brady fans but they don’t say oh it’s Tom Brady Tampa Bay was a better team everyone always says and the biggest Patrick Mahomes fans always say he had no offensive line he had no offensive line now listen I think that’s an exaggeration to a degree he definitely didn’t have a no line and that definitely was a contributing factor but this idea that if he had a no line that they would just pick apart Tampa Bay I reject but it is a perfect example of how important having a legit offensive line matters to a quarterback so when you do that when you have someone as Elite and yes Justin Herbert is an elite quarterback it’s indisputable indisputable he is an elite quarterback you can do damage without a doubt now like Garrett said there is the question of do they have enough skill pieces around him I don’t know I really don’t I’m I’m not afraid to say I don’t know I’m going to have to wait and see a little bit more see what other stuff Jim Harbaugh has up his sleeve and if he doesn’t have the exact skill pieces Jim Harbaugh is still the type of coach who understands still how to win those games how to still put his quarterback in the best position and the and the Chargers in the best position to win games this is exactly what Andy Reid did with Patrick mahomes’s past season understanding that this is a defensive forward team understanding that maybe the weapons around him aren’t as great Travis Kelce is on the decline they are dropping a lot of balls and so Andy Reid planned accordingly he game planned accordingly and Patrick Mahomes is humble enough and smart enough to fall in line and say okay I’m not going to force the ball down the field I’m not going to try to put up 20 plus eight you know 28 plus points I’m not going to try to throw for 300 plus yards I am going to have a down year statistically but we’re still going to win we’re going to put our team in the best position to win and that is what harball and Justin Herbert will be able to do there’s not a doubt in my mind these are two elite football Minds as well as play as well as a player obviously and Justin Herbert so I think um I I think a lot of positives and nothing but optimism should be felt by the Chargers but those are just my thoughts I would absolutely love to hear yours what do you guys all think do you think Harbaugh brings a different presence to the Chargers and that they could have immediate success 1. of all those winning QBs, Brady, etc. they always had great defenses. With Herbert, his defense has always been toward the last in the NFL.

  2. This is not shocking to hear from the Chargers and Harbaugh.
It’s going to take at least 3 years for them to get into a playoff run team and this is what Harbaugh has done time and time again.
They have talent at the skill positions and will build on it.
Gus Edwards and Jk Dobbins in the back field, Quiten Johnson is still a guy who can improve, Joshua Palmer showed a lot last year and they have DJ Chark. Also, drafting Ladd McConkey who just might be the best route runner in this draft and they got a flyer on Brendon Rice.
Two solid book ends on the OL. This is an offence to build on.

  3. Omg It gives me a headache too the way commentators don’t give Justin any credit for his accomplishments but all the blame for Chargers losses. “He’s not clutch” bs

  4. Before Herberts and his weapons got hurt un BACK TO BACK seasons he had elite numbers EACH year especially seasons where he actually played a healthy season. Maybe if he came into the league with an ELITE DEFENSE, COACHING AND RUNNING GAME like Lamar Jackson and Prurdy he would get his respect. Keep in mind Drew Brees and Peyton Manning didn't win a playoff game till week 6.

  5. Justin Herbert since 2020–17,000 + yards,141 TD's 42 ints ,3rd lowest TD/INT ratio behind Rodgers/Burrow) 14 come from behind wins( 2nd only to Mahomes) Led his team to the most points in a QB's 1st 3years in NFL HISTORY meanwhile his DEFENSE GAVE UP THE MOST POINTS IN A QB'S 1ST E YEARS! Had weapons? Ok lets look at the that! Mike Williams and Keenan Allen missed 30 combined games the last two years and after signing their big deals , they were on the field together for 4 games …mfing 4! He was throwing to guys like Michael Bandy ( Bandy season??? Anybody remember THAT awesome preseason hype wr who is now in the UFL😂and DeAndre Carter who's hoping to make a roster spot with the Bears) Also Herbert is on his 3rd coach and 4th OC in this , his 5th season!! Staley had an avg. defensive ranking of 30th and a pass defense that was 31st!! ( defensive "GURU)😂 Oline?? 24th in pass pro and 30th in run blocking and a run game that also ranked 30th , Staley's entire time there! In closing Staley FIRED Shane Day, Herbert's QB coach , and meanwhile Herbert was the the 2nd most pressured QB since ESPN started keeping track of this stat in 06! Hes 28–7 when his defense gives up 28 or less( 28 is still a lot ) and had a 17–1 !!!! TD/INT Ratio with a clean pocket and 14–0 when throwing on 4th down in the red zone!! So yeah F**K THOSE CRITICS! These are FACTS NOT FICTION! Great video brother! Thanks! Sidenote: I looked up EVERYTHING I MENTIONED, BTW wtf would Harbaugh get tid of Herbert for McCarthy Hilarious 😂😂😂

  6. Watched Justin's presser last night. Was surprised hearing Justin say that they've already installed the offense! LFG!

  7. Thank you for your common sense and honesty. It is beyond me that so many uninformed or dishonest individuals have a platform. Oh yeah, I forgot… social media. Where are the gatekeepers with integrity. Yikes.

  8. Well, we got to see them in the real regular season. EVERY TEAM are overhyped before the regular season always. The football is a TEAM sport. We can't blame on any one specific player for the failure. Al least I want to trust Jim Harbaugh. It will surely be exciting to witness how the Chargers would unfold in the regular season. Let's forget Mahomes and Andy Reid. It's all about Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers. ⚡⚡⚡
