this thing pulled out from the machine is artificial turf also commonly known as fake grass it’s often used to cover many football fields since artificial turf is made from synthetic fibers it doesn’t need watering and there’s no worry about it withering making its maintenance cost much lower than that of real grass but why is artificial turf rarely used on golf courses this is actually due to the high quality standards golf requires for its grass texture and the fact that hitting the ball can easily damage the turf in contrast football doesn’t demand as much from the grass even if artificial turf get it’s damaged the broken parts can simply be cut out and replaced however if there is severe water accumulation artificial turf can also bubble up just like real grass

  1. Football pitches rarely use Astro turf or artificial they play on real grass it’s just hybrid grass in the uk

  2. Fall on this Grass. Never want to play on it again. Burns Holes through the skin to the Bones

  3. Astroturfing in football is terrible playing or watching, the ball bounces like in a pinball machine also falling on it is pretty terrible. Football on grass and astroturf are close to being two different sports

  4. So don't preach people about environment if sports corporations themselves don't respect natural grass.

  5. It is only in the country that calls football soccer. Can't find this in use anywhere in European pro football. High risk of injury
