talk about a way to finish your round nearly perfect we’ve reached the halfway point of the KPMG women’s PGA Championship and the stage is set for the weekend I’m hope Barnett and you’re watching LPGA now presented by surfpro let’s get into it after Sarah schmelzel fired the low number of the day and Amy Yang walked away with the only bogey free round in the last 18 holes those two are tied at the top after Friday I showed you Amy’s shot into 18 but we can’t Overlook Sarah’s nearly perfect chip on the very same hole and on 17 she rolled in this birdie Putt in the second round she was first and strokes gained TAA green which is key when playing a course like aah Holly I think it’s such an advantage if you are hitting driver well out here and I I feel like I drive the ball well so if I can commit to my shots uh I I think I can drive it well around here and then be able to take advantage of having a little shorter clubs in I think I think it’s pretty visually daunting for sure U but just really seeing my shot shape and then committing to that and then wherever it goes It goes and just keep plugging along all day while Amy Yang was first in Strokes gained around the green aka the short game magician she was dialed in with those wedges number seven so quick down the hill did she yes look at that and Amy Yang moves to four under par trying to I think it’s just requires a lot of patience out there yeah cuz it it’s playing so tough and you know 100% I’m making I’ll be making mistakes out there and make sure I don’t talk like you know my self talk is not that harmful for me and just stay positive and that’s the biggest key I think the five time LPGA winner is coming off of two missed Cuts so I’ve been hitting ball really solid even last week too you know I I missed a cut but you know I was hitting it really solid and I knew I could you know turn around this game anytime soon and um you know it’s it’s hard to trust process and believe in myself when I see those type those uh results but you know I think I did well staying um patience and I will you know down the road as well yeah tied for third we have three major Champions jinyan Co hanako shibuno and Lexi Thompson and in six is he ranu Miu Yamashita and Leona Maguire swed Maya Stark is also in the mix check out this 40f footer she had no problem with and then Steph kyaku with an eagle on the 18th maybe okay and this was a beauty from Ali Ying [Music] GE oh yes nice way to do it with some great golf being played around sah Hol country club we still have two more days left of it so be sure to tune in on peacock Golf Channel and NBC and come back right here to watch LPGA now presented by Surf Pro

  1. I was fortunate to be at Sahalee and watch jinyoung and lexi play all 18 holes.

Jinyoung is my favorite golfer man or woman so I guess i would like to see her win but i cannot wish either Lexi or Amy bad luck. I hope all continue to play well. The women on this tour are all so athletically gifted and accomplished and for the most part they are friendly and approachable. I rarely watch mens golf anymore. Good luck tomorrow Amy!
