youtube.com/ esvn show put on push notifications and you can watch us live mostly every Mondays uh at Monday at 400 p.m. we had some technical issues and you know we had a potentially game deciding victory that made our decision easier uh to not go live yesterday although we couldn’t have honestly done it because it seems like YouTube was down at least YouTube Studios from like 4 to 6:30 eastern time so apologies for the delay on this but anyway like the stream comment it helps out with the algorithm um and rate US five stars wherever you’re listening to or watching this hello Bradley elop hello everyone good afternoon it’s a great day to be a Boston sports fan okay every day is a great day to be a Boston sports fan I sent this to you last night from the account NHL Watcher so since 2000 two uh 2000 the year Boston area sports teams have made it to the finals 20 times so that is a little under a champ uh a championship finals appearance every year because we’re in 2024 now since 2000 Boston area sports teams have made it to the finals 20 times and they have won 13 championships so that is over a championship every other year right my mouth’s pretty bad but it must be nice must be nice right no because wait what’s 24 oh my gosh yes it is it’s over a championship every other year gosh my math skills are so terrible that was pretty good the Celtics are two and two since 2000 in the finals the Bruins have won a championship uh they’re 1-2 the Red Sox are 4-0 in the uh champ championship series since 2000 and the Patriots um have won obviously six championships and have lost three to to my New York Giants and one to the Philadelphia Eagles Bradley do you have any sympathy or do you feel good for Boston sports fans in this current moment I I feel like they’re a less hatable team than the Garnett era I mean sorry not yeah yeah then the kg era right I think that they’re in terms of the Championship pedigree but maybe that’s just because I’m a ncks fan and I I they were you know pretty uh trash talky during that time period um I the reason I think why the reason why I think I can be either happy or at least understand the catharsis for this particular Celtics group for winning a title is because of the combination of how little anyone actually believed like at least from my perspective because I was I essentially said on this very show that they would have to win a championship for me to actually think they were like yeah capital G good so now that I now like and I mean that for everybody I mean like the duo of Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown like Joe Missoula as a coach like the project that they have of like death by a th000 three-pointers and and uh position lless defense across all five positions like until be I mean before then it was the Twilight period Golden State Warriors beating them and then the eighth seed heat beating them in the seven games in the Conference Finals being the last two of the last three years for them so I think there was actually a lot of like legitimate criticism and scrutiny and by legitimate I mean like I don’t think this was just uh we need to buoy ourselves by a nobody believes in US storyline or narrative Point that’s not actually earned I actually don’t think anybody really believed in the Celtics team to win a win a championship despite being like historically great in the regular season and also losing like two or three G do they how many I don’t remember how many well I can tell you I have this year I don’t remember how many games they lost they were 16 and three in the postseason this is was also a historically good overall uh season performance by the Celtics because their winning percentage in the regular season was second in team history at 7.92 that is only behind the 820 uh win percentage from the 85 to 86 season when they also won the championship right so like for me a team that was that good and but still not really believed to actually be able to win a championship by me also I’m not even just like I’m not did you really feel that way I mean when did you stop feeling that way because it seemed pretty clear that they were going to make the finals this entire postseason it’s not that the it’s it was always it was always the actual finals themselves when game one started I was like okay they’re going to win but but I it like it was so let me put it this way it was so tenuous for me after the cupcake schedule that they had in the postseason which again I I’ve said this throughout been consistent about this that’s not on them you play who’s in front of you you play who’s on the regardless of who on who who is or is not on the injury report you have no control over that what they did in those games however was completely grind their opponents into dust which is what I would have expected them to do because they were I thought the talent level especially with key injuries to the heat Cavs and Pacers they were significantly better than on in every level but to put it in perspective if the Mavs had won by the same score that the Celtics had won by in game one in Boston I would have been like this team is this team is fraudulent this team is this team is not nearly as good we said on in the leadup when we knew the two finals teams that we thought the that the Celtics would beat the Mavericks because I I think it would have been a different situation had the nuggets come out of the West um maybe even OKC right I don’t know it it it the I mean I would say the Wolves probably honestly or the Wolves I think that the Mavericks in particular were a team that was booed in the west during this run by historic performances by Kyrie Irving and Luca donic also had some incredible games as well but I guess in the Western Conference Finals that’s more of the was the Kyrie coming out party and you had people making out outrageous statements about him being the most talented offensive player of all time and Steph Curry is like hey two years ago I beat the Boston Celtics in the finals and I did it on their home floor I did it on their home floor to close it out I mean let’s be real here about that uh Steph Curry is laughing at that kind of discourse I think at this point but um you know it I think that it was a really really bad matchup for the Mavericks at the end of the day um because they were too riant on their Superstars their two superstars and The Supporting Cast that the Celtics have it makes them one of the deeper teams in uh I don’t know my lifetime when watching the NBA and watching some of these championship teams uh because you have Jason Tatum who had ended up with 31 Points 11 assists and eight rebounds in this game but I think he rightly was not given the MVP uh Jaylen Brown was the deserved MVP he finished with 21 points eight rebounds and six assists in this game but Tatum was not the most efficient shooter uh throughout this series all the time and he racked up most of those points in the second half and particularly in the fourth quarter when the game is a bit Out Of Reach Drew holiday would have been my second player in terms of maybe MVP voting although perhaps I’m getting a bit precious there I it’s just because I’m such a big fan of his game I mean he was the piece that they needed and that trade that three-way trade went that sent him over to the Boston Celtics as as well as porzingis that ended up being the shakeup that this team ex needed uh and holiday was able to start game five to settle those guys down and he made what uh three buckets in a row when Tatum and brown were just kind of getting a little shaky and were a bit tense because of course this was a game when they could finally do what they had set out to do as a tandem since they got drafted um in back-to-back years and so holiday so smart so steady such a phenomenal player when he’s off ball it’s almost like he’s assisting in his own way even if it’s not going to be recorded on the box score because he’s making such chaos or he’s in the right position or he’s setting a screen I mean the his over under on rebounds going into this game sorry this is the first game I bet on in this playoffs the first that I wanted to have a little bit of fun with it it was five and a half he ended up with 11 rebounds that was ridiculous and so I won what 10 bucks on that what you call what you call exploiting the Market yeah I mean it was like I just knew when it’s a big game Drew holiday is gonna step up he stepped up with the bucks he steps up in these situations because he’s so mentally tough he’s so smart he’s one of my favorite players in the NBA but so and and I and I agree and I agree in the sense that especially the point you’re making about the fact that like sometimes things are as simple as Drew holiday goes to Milwaukee in 2021 and they win a title Drew holiday go goes to Boston in 2024 and they win a title like it’s it’s it’s emblematic of honestly what those two teams probably needed but it’s also just emblematic of what type of player he is to to a team that is already pretty built for Success adding a player who just really knows how to play successfully and has always really known how to play successfully if anything even if he’s maybe lost step of athleticism just because he’s a little older than he was um you know SE seven years ago or whatever the case may be I think he’s made up for it in defensive toughness and how built he is he’s still fast but if anything he’s stronger he’s Sounder he’s smarter but what all that is to say about my feelings about this is that I think people had legitimate reservations about this Celtics team despite how everything trending towards how legitimately potentially historically good this team was and I think there were genuine concerns not only about the Personnel makeup but about the coaching philosophy of we are basically going to make it so that our entire ethos is we go five out around the perimeter and if we must if we absolutely must we will drive to the hoop but not if we don’t have to like we will never do that if we don’t have to and we will commit to that even if it doesn’t if it doesn’t work knowing that we are confident that we will come back to Center somehow and also on defense we will essentially allow people anyone and this is what happened exactly with the Mavericks is all they allowed was Luca or Kyrie to get to the rim and it was still exceedingly difficult because every person on that Celtics defense when porzingis was in could cover the ground from the three-point line to the rim to either seal off the basket or close out on a three-point shot so every so the the Mavericks were of the teams that had the highest rate of corner threes yeah um in I believe in the regular season I still think in the few series preceding this one they couldn’t they couldn’t buy a corner three yeah they like there were there were legitimately outside of Luke and Kyrie who already were it was laborious for them to even try and score there was one incred there was one great basket I mean great assist from Kyrie to Derek Lively but looking at the play and this was I think early in in the game last night where it was basically had Kyrie Kyrie had to essentially Burrow under three monstrous monstrously tall and large men snake around the Baseline with like two inches of separation from the foul line and the Baseline and then somehow thread the needle into Derek Lively to get a dunk like it was borderline impossible for them to score Lively had a bad game I mean Lely I don’t think even was great on the glass in the sense that he only had uh what four rebounds I’m looking at here at the box score because there was no one for lively on either end to exploit yeah Lively what was what was what was necessary for lively to succeed in this playoffs was was the ability for Luca to not only get into get into the nail or the elbow to either go for a floater or fake it or potentially go for the lob if those aren’t there Lively is not shooting the ball yeah and even if he was they wouldn’t be able to get it to him because of how much because of how little access they were even getting to to to Perimeter shooting and there were two to three guys who could either out guile in the in the circum in the circumstance of Al Horford or just out muscle and outplay Lively in porzingis and and Tatum yeah and and I mean uh Al Horford that’s the first time of us saying I thought actually Gafford had a decent game Lively did not play as well but Al Horford really held his own in the way in the absence of porzingis who was only able to come in obviously for limited minutes and he is going to have offseason surgery he’s struggled with injuries his entire career but he had that historic game one so he at least will be able to hang his hat and say that he contributed um but Horford finally gets a ring finally gets a championship a at in his late 30s and he played over 31 minutes in that game so he was really um contributing as well and that was a nice little storyline a testament to Horford’s longevity is that we’ve talked about this I think in the past and I’ve definitely talked about this with my friends before which is that there are some guys who because they’re like extraordinary athletes when they’re when they’re when they’re young are able to by virtue of not just because of the athletic base that they have they’re also and also the combination of that as well as their ability to adhere and coh cohes cohesively transition into another role that limits them slightly but still maximizes some Vince Carter is an example of that he was so incredibly athletic and Incredibly explosive as a young young player but he was able to have an extremely long prolific career because he continued to adapt to slightly minimize his game while still I think emphasizing other strong aspects of his game that he still worked on despite losing the athleticism Horford I would not necessarily say is that in sense of being a worldclass athlete but when you’re that smart and you are that technically sound you also know how to limit wear and tear on your body yeah and you also know how to you also know how to make make efficient movement and make make sure that you are moving economically in on the floor without over without overextending yourself that’s a bit of what the Russell Westbrook had struggled with and is now getting a little bit closer to achieving that in his older age he lost some of his incredible athletic explosiveness and adap new Ro and with the Clippers that for sure interacting even coming off the bench for example which has been an adjustment but it always felt very seamless because it’s like you would potentially with some of the defensive plays that Horford had made despite obviously there being some teams like the Pacers who were really picking on him in certain actions but there were some defensive assignments with Horford and some plays that he was making where you could forget he’s literally 38 years old like he’s almost 40 right and and so Horford congratulations to him also Derek white Derek White had a funny I mean it looked really scary when his he was smashed into the floor face smash into the floor he chipped his tooth uh he was a bit of a hockey it was a it was a hockey play there for him definely um and he ended up uh obviously he he played phenomenally defensively um you know it’s just the reality for the Mavericks and I also want to say that I don’t think Jason kid made any many adjustments at all this entire series and that should give Dallas and ownership and management in Mark cubin there a bit of pause I will say happy that Miriam adidon lost and took an L one of the biggest Pro genocide donors in the the United States so good that uh she got a majority ownership there uh and lost that game because I didn’t even I wasn’t even aware of this but drogon one of my buddies on Twitter pointed out that she’s trying desperately to get casinos in Texas because that’s their trade uh but that the Evangelical Christians down there really really don’t want that and so that was a part of her her lobbying effort to get casinos in Texas um by buying the Mavericks and I hope it doesn’t work out for her and it’s the pebble in her shoe for the rest of her days but um in terms of Jason kid I don’t really think he made many adjustments and relied a lot on Luca uh and Kyrie making plays because he didn’t really set up the role players on uh on the the Mavericks to complement them in in in many ways I I mean PJ Washington makes some really good plays here and there but it never felt like they were playing fluid basketball or or where they had a situation like with Drew holiday where they could have a third guy to take some of the pressure off of their two uh best scorers and pick up some slack where where you need to in order to take again some pressure off of them um it never felt like and part of it’s just because the Celtics have more depth and have better players on the whole um even if individually you you could make the case that Luca donish is the best player on the floor and then maybe Kyrie Irving is the second best player on the floor they just never had the depth um and so uh and I’m just saying you can make that case but I don’t ever I never felt like Jason kid was changing the way that they were approaching the game in any meaningful way that set up the Mavericks for success but this is the this is not to defend Jason kids coaching or lack lack of kind of adaptability in the series but truly at some point in the series The Question became to me like what can they do to adapt in in terms of this matchup and the reason I say that is because fundamentally at full strength and I know there was this was this was a slight difference with porzingis out of the lineup but even when porzingis was out of the lineup they they won they won they won one of the games that porzingis was out of the lineup and the blow out game almost seemed to like like I I hate to put it in these this this gruesome of a term but the game that the Mavs won handily literally seemed a little bit like a death rattle oh yeah like like just like the last the last gasp of a of a what would what will become an eventuality of a series but at least at the very least they did not get swept in the NBA Finals I so I don’t know how much to take from that game knowing what we know now but at full strength the Mavs defense being so successful was because they were able to really time against the Wolves when they could help off certain guys to either stifle Rudy goar or stifle Anthony Edwards the issue is when you replace Rudy goar with Chris Taps porzingis is you if he is at the three-point line you cannot help off of him exactly because when you do you’re leaving a literally 40% three-point shooter wide open for a release that you cannot block because no one is tall enough to block porzingis when he’s has that high of a release on his shot and so literally any choice that you make if you if you stay one-on-one with porzingis they can put you into rotation and find an open another open three or if Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown just decide to rumble into the lane and either draw a foul or or score they can do so or if you help off to try and wall off one of those guys there’s a shooter open yeah like it was it’s this was a team that was essentially designed to be impervious to help defense and without that that being available to them the Mavs couldn’t withstand that yeah yeah so um I mean that that is uh I think a good sum summary of it um you know just final stats here for the for the uh the Mavericks Kyrie Irving finished with 15 points he was just five for 16 he’s now 1 and 13 against the Celtics since joining the Nets which uh he’s not on that team anymore it’s pretty rough luga donic finished with 28 points 12 rebounds he was more efficient than Kyrie Irving 48% field goal percentage even though it didn’t really feel like that um and I just want to also give credit to the Celtics management here Brad Stevens um you know he made this team meticulously Horford’s return in 2021 then the next year Derek White com over the Warriors beat them in the finals that was a bit of a a gut punch um e Oda is fired uh Joe moula takes over then they lose to the Heat and then they basically decide we need to add another dimension to this team and they make that three-way trade for holiday and porzingis sending out Marcus Smart and I know that there was some queasiness about that because of Smart’s defensive prowess but you know holiday can more and make more than make up for it and then you have exactly what Bradley is saying with porzingis being an option to um and that being such a threat with his size and even before that you had Danny a who set up this entire situation with uh the fleecing of the Brooklyn Nets in order to get the draft picks that would become Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum um Jaylen Brown was taken third overall in the Ben Simmons year and we all another way to just stick the knife into Brooklyn um there and uh in the year that they took Jason Tatum Boston traded down and that was the Marquel folz selection by Philadelphia um and so they they took Jason Tatum I think either second or third overall again I’m forgetting exactly the time that they did that so and and also just to add on to it with white is that the Derek white to Boston um situation was essentially somewhat of an afterthought in the midst of the um Ben Simmons James Harden trade from Philly to Brooklyn yeah like it wasn’t it wasn’t particularly harped on that Derek white who despite being I think significantly better than maybe people anticipated from his draft station because you know he played D2 ball at first before going to Colorado he was drafted the late round late first round by San Antonio he was given an extension but he went to Boston Derek white was like not a very good three-point shooter and now for from what what he was from even leaving San Antonio to what he is now in Boston not just an NBA champion but a guy who was an extremely intelligent player to to begin with and a a a great playmaker more crafty with the ball in his hands that I think people might have given him credit for given just like honestly I think somebody’s aesthetic appearance almost like like detracted from how people people realizing how just how good he was not so anymore while also being one of the best maybe one of the best perimeter one of if not the best perimeter defender in the league combining that with then now being able to knock down 39% of your threes on five or six attempts he became a player who could not stay off the floor yeah like that you forc himself into the that by by virtue of not only his natural ability but truly working on something where those percentages go up 10% and just showing how you can be an efficient basketball player and knowing to pick your shot right um salt line uh salty line cook writes in Jason Tatum recreating the photo of Kobe Bryan holding the Larry obrien trophy was really cringe yes uh Jason Tatum is uh maybe the cringiest top basketball player in the league I I’m just not a fan I don’t everything seems really telegraphed everything seems like he’s rehearsing it in a mirror I really really really and forgive me because I don’t always I don’t like to speak ill of the dead but Kobe the Kobe Bryant worship of the younger this younger generation of players is maybe one of the worst things to happen in the world because the takeaway that all of these guys who do have this type of Kobe worship of not only Kobe but the Black Mamba aesthetic and Ethos is what they’ve gleaned from that is being an ultra competitive Surly [ __ ] um is how you should come across to the press and other people um until you win something and then when you do win something you should um carefully carefully manufacture how you feel in one of the most uh what should probably be one of the most sensor thally inexplicable moments in your life instead you’re looking at the camera and going we did it oh my God don’t even we did it it’s it’s the worst he’s he’s not we did it I mean he’s he’s corny I mean like the combination of artif the combination of artifice both good and bad is literally what Kobe Bryant hath wrought from from from afar from Beyond and I still around he would not be loving that entire like he would be if he were still around he wouldn’t allow for that kind of I I don’t know he no because he would say that that’s sorry that’s just for me he was a genuinely stly [ __ ] that’s the thing I mean Jason Tatum is not somebody who even really in my opinion plays like Kobe Bryant he doesn’t have the intensity or toughness he can score he can be inefficient but he’ll score if anything when he plays like Kobe Bryant is when he plays at his worst when nothing is going right and he just settles for backing a guy into the post and taking a low efficiency fadeaway turnaround jumper that clanks off the rim that’s when he’s playing like Kobe Bryant which is when he’s playing literally his worst basketball he’s overall harmless but I just can’t St I don’t like the commercial where it’s like you know I don’t I don’t think he’s the best player on his team I actually agree with Jason kid about that I do think that uh overall I would rather have Jaylen Brown on my team I understand that the scorers the scoring score sheet is going to probably favorate him at the end of the day um but from an overall game perspective as you talk about his defense in this series that’s the kind of thing that I would like to build around also Jaylen Brown’s just cool Jaylen Brown wore a free Gaza bracelet that’s all that counts for me um if you if you’re standing up for Palestine you’re cool with me and I love Drew holiday and will love him for the rest of his career I loved him in Milwaukee and I love him in Boston so that’s enough for me to root for them even though I do have a an aversion to Jason Tatum and a you know some emotional hatred of poor zingis based on some of the things I’d heard about him are you aware that um Jason Tatum texted um Kobe Bryant ahead of game seven of the Eastern Conference finals last year against the Heat no I’m not aware and you know with the catch last year he T texted Kobe Bryant who died in 2020 correct okay what was it saying I got you today texting I’m sorry the the did they know each other the maob he he is probably 20 years younger than Co maybe they they maybe have over they maybe overlapped they they must have overlapped one or two seasons I have no idea the extent of which they knew each other or their relationship but regardless turn it down this is a real human being like this isn’t you know talk to your pastor about it I don’t give a [ __ ] texting texting who would even even amidst a close relationship which which I would not minimize if that’s the case because I just don’t know um and if it was really close we wouldn’t have heard about but who otherwise but who otherwise would amount to it what would basically amount to a coworker or a colleague their phone before a game that ultimately Unfortunately they lost the to the dead Kobe Bryant is just it’s just a little bit of uh um wish casting that I find just slightly slightly deranged but yeah anyway congrats to Jason Tatum uh congrats to the Celtics congrats to the Celtics now from Trinidad says Drew holiday is overall a good guy he sat out the half season take to take care for his wife Lauren Holliday’s gold medal and women’s world cup holder who had surgery to remove a brain tumor while she was pregnant they had have funds to help minority businesses get funding Etc that is good to know yeah they they seem there’s been a lot of coverage of of Drew and his and his wife and like the amount of obviously caretaking he has had to provide and also obviously the difficulties in the relationship as a result of that he just all around seems like a genuinely standup good salt of the earth person yeah totally um Floyd the Barber said this was the second time where Drew holiday was the missing piece for a championship Contender that’s exactly right I mean he is you know you talk about those kinds of players that can can really be Championship pieces or built or 16 game players I mean holiday is the kind of guy that I feel like uh embodies that at least in the NBA um who isn’t one of the top scorers in the league and a superstar in that way um will from Indiana it’s kind of wild that I somehow remember watching Joe Missoula play college basketball at West Virginia in 2011 when I was 9 years old and now he’s an NBA Champion as head coach 13 years later Tempest fugit also just wanted to say that the gay Grimace Mets have won six in a row so maybe that counts for something I have to get into uh MLB WNBA mode now that the NBA finals are over and the Stanley Cup finals are winding down Le left is esvn yes absolutely yeah so that’s a good good good tidings that Grimace threw out the first pitch and now the Mets are on a tear so I I I more grimus content please yes Kowalski from Nebraska be honest with us was Sam a bit insufferable off camera when it came to the Celtics I mean what do you think he was okay he was okay he really wasn’t I mean um he’s been he’s been here before a little bit behind the scenes we uh sometimes this building where we are at uh and Kowalski you know uh what you’ve been here actually our studio we’re in an older building and sometimes they shut off the water for long periods of time to do Renovations and so I came in basically right before the show started because I didn’t want to be in the office when there was no running water and uh so I didn’t get to really bad hear Sam’s thoughts about the the game but uh I mean look it’s he’s a Boston sports fan so enough said we heard about it enough we heard about it just a fun fact speaking of Joe missoula’s college career um this was I think relevant last season because of the Conference Finals but uh Joe moula sustained a loss in the Big East tournament to the uh to to Jimmy Butler oh really yeah they play that’s just to goes to show like not only how old and young these two guys are basically at the same time that like they’re still like NBA luminaries both now but literally played each other in college like 13 years ago unbelievable um all right let’s turn to the NHL then because tonight is game five of the Stanley Cup finals the Panthers uh were up 3 0 and the Oilers took game four to save off elimination at home it feels very much like the Maverick situation at least to me um the Panthers are the better team in every single way the Oilers did not score on the power play once in the first three games and I know that uh nurse Evander Kane have been banged up but the problem and nurse is relevant to this is that Edmonton’s Blue Line has beyond the first pairing been quite atrocious and that was what we said going into the series it’s laid itself bare it’s made itself obvious Co CC was a healthy scratch I believe in game three um came back in game four and they did end up winning winning but he’s been really bad statistically and with the eye test in his pairing with nurse um and nurse himself is banged up but in the end in game four uh nurse actually scored and he is not known as a defenseman who puts up a bunch of points to say the very least so um the he he’s banged up but uh game four resulted in nurse actually was called I think for a major early on in the game then it was reduced for two minutes and the Oilers scored short-handed it just goes to show how quickly things can change in hockey because that looked like it was another way for the Panthers to set themselves up and start to go on a run and score on Stuart Skinner um and the Oilers ended up winning that game 8 to one again R ran bosski off the ice but they were just like we’re stopping after the second period we are going on to South Florida that’s what it felt like and but the but I guess also my question is similar to that of the question I had with the one game that the Mavericks won is that is this kind of the last is this the last sign of life for the Oilers or is this actually emblematic of something more competitive it’ll be I mean tough to go back to home ice for for the Panthers and also interestingly enough what a lot of what McDavid was really impacting was almost more of like the playmaking aspect in the sense that he’s now he had I if you I don’t know if you know this off the top of your head but there was some I think he either he broke some he did he broke gr’s record in terms of assists in a single postseason run so now which I think goes to show you just not only how just how comprehensively excellent and amazing Conor McDavid is as if we need to tell you but yeah I mean he had a four-point night so he had his own goal it was his first of the series and then he set that uh franch or NHL record I should say for assists in a in one playoff run at 32 so breaking’s record and um he can add to that tonight if they want to yeah survive another survive to live another game yeah the smart people uh who follow this the odds for Vegas and stuff were basically saying that Bovi is going to win the cons SMI and you should put money on that ahead of the of the series now I my I placed my first bet of the uh entire playoffs of for the NHL and NBA last night on Celtics money line and you know two out of three uh Drew holiday over rebounds Derrick Lively’s rebounding total did not hit but either way I they they I’ll take two out of three so I mean I didn’t I didn’t go for that but I do think that we’re going to see a phenomenal performance by Bovi tonight that’s my prediction I think I think that the Oilers will score under two goals and that the Panthers will take it home on home ICE tonight and if they don’t then oh boy do we actually have a series and could we see the Oilers come back yes because that’s when you get creeped out into their minds um but I just haven’t seen that with the Panthers so far they’re such a mature team and they never seem emotionally rattled which always stands out to me and I heard Elliot frean say the same thing um on 32 thoughts just like that they are the they are a team that doesn’t seem to get two up or two down and that bosski didn’t even seem emotionally rattled by it’s like okay we’re going to reset and they gave it their best shot we’re back to Florida and when you and when you see the emotion from them the emotion is like they’re on him hinged like they all play with their hair on fire they’re like violent and aggressive and nasty like you’re not going to like cow the Panthers or like or like stymy or like shroud that like that’s just there like they are like even like they’re going to play you like they’re kicking your ass no matter what the score is and that’s I think the problem is like you kind of can’t change the it it it will take a large large task to neutralize that advantage that they have just by virtue of like how they are how they operate and Jeff Skinner did actually play well God I do this every time Stuart Skinner had a great save on Carter ver hagy early on who’s also had a just excellent excellent playoffs Carter ver haggy um and it is just so odd how similar it is to what we’re seeing we saw with Boston and uh and Dallas in the NBA Championship which is just like they have many guys that can score and do things for the team Alexander barov is my conm winner I think that he has just like been such a an incredible player throughout this entire playoff run defensively and offensively um Sasha barov hey fellow Finn I’m always going to root for that but Reinhardt has been phenomenal kachuck has played really well Bennett um and then you had Tera Seno scored last game too and he started to get going and contribute him on the third line just forget that Vladimir ter go and Gustaf forsling has you know he’s a defenseman so he doesn’t get all always the the the love that he deserves but you know his pairing with eblad they’ve been excellent totally and um so I just even like tone Setters like lomberg and Essa Lindell it’s like these guys even big body Nik mikola has been has been making some contribs yeah another former Ranger uh and I I I think he’s been really good for Florida so they have a phys IAL presence that is just unmatched and as you’re saying depth depth we’re literally talking about guys who were like 10th 11th 12th down the roster and like are yeah are all impactful in one way or the other half of NHL teams in the league would take Oliver emman Larson one of their third pairing defenseman is one of their top exactly tra would like would like trade a lot for him yeah I mean like they really just are such a well constructed team at this point Anton londell uh who’s uh you know leads their second power playit they’re just really really good um and so sorry that’s who I was talking about I was I I did my own I did my own uh mess up here I was referring to the Stars Lindell Essa Lindell on the Stars who’s oh did you say I didn’t even that one who funnily enough is also a fan oh we love the fans we love our finish we love our fins um but also I agree with you though in the sense that I think I agreed with you before about the kmai thing for barov my only my only thing that almost puts further bolsters that case is like I think it would be hard to give it to B I after the 81 game they’re going to do this is what I mean I I hear you on that but and and his save percentage has gone down like to a more human level now that that game happened um but I do just think that goalies in the playoffs there’s such a higher importance and right and I guess the voters are just that’s more they’re more visible they’re always on the ice as opposed to the line changes and I would give it to um Alexander barov but I I think bosi is a worthy winner regardless and it’s almost like a it’s almost like a memorial and and again this this hasn’t happened yet but I’m going to say tonight I think that the Panthers win 3-1 is what I’m going to I’m going to go for and also when you take the whole when you take the entirety of the playoffs of the postseason 2 I think it is totally fair to give it to bosski given how many Great Performances we’ve seen from him this this go round in the playoffs but I just with you that barkov had just literally every single thing that he’s asked to do he’s done at a high level so and he’s done it throughout different series like he has shut down uh I know the best the best of the best on all the teams that he’s faced I mean whether it be the uh the the pastor neckline the Boston series or before that in the Tampa Bay line with COV the Rangers I saw it I mean mik z banad and then they’d also sometimes shift him on the ice with the paner line and he gave them fits so he just is such a player that you kind of appreciate once you grow to learn a little bit more about the sport yeah because you’re not you’re not seeing it’s it’s not stuff where it’s like oh you’re it’s not something that’s contingent on like a a shot of the puck shot on goal he’s their he’s one of their points leaders I haven’t looked up the stats yet but I mean at the very least like he was at the top of the scoring sheet at at one point a few last week or something like that I’m sure that hasn’t changed so um yeah I would have get I would give it to barov but I it’ll probably go to bosski and that’s my official prediction the Panthers wrap things up tonight with 3-1 victory over the Oilers that would be hysterical if like after both three 3 leads um and a one and a one game blowout uh both three leads but we we were had the potential the first time since 1995 that the NBA and finals and Stanley Cup I think were both sweeps that there were two last gas blowout wins to make it 3-1 if if the Panthers do close out might be kind of hilarious that they did really these two series really did mirror each other a lot not just in the numbers like in that in that regard but also almost this idea of like Team Construction right Team Construction like a very deep team versus very star-laden team and then how if Florida’s in the East right and East yeah East and West too if if it actually plays out that way but we shall see um two quick stories here and then we will wrap up um so not a huge golf person but I watched the Masters and then I’ll sometimes watch the US Open I am a golf person you are a golf person so I want to talk a bit about this because Rory mroy had a choke I mean you’re cringing like he choked so badly in this in this open that I was I felt really badly I couldn’t even watch and I just want to contextualize too that before as we get into this that Rory mroy and Bryson Des Shambo both who the Bryson dambo who W ultimately won the US Open capitalized off of Rory mooy’s choke job at the end of the round on Sunday they are both like notorious choke artists y like Rory mroy has not won a major in quite some time he was kind of a young Phenom who who came onto the scene very early in his career and won he won the US Open at 22 that was in 2011 and then he went w won three more majors and the last time was the PGA Championship in 2014 right so that was about that’s that’s 10 years ago and he’s 35ish now 36 something like and has been consistently ranked as one of the top golfers in the world since that point but has not won a major since in 10 years and Des Shambo who is a little bit younger he’s only he’s 30 31 now he has a similar attack which is he has always at least in the last few majors has been consistently competitive and as soon as it gets to Sunday he completely explodes like like disastrous finish after disastrous finish and the same thing with Rory is that he has been very close in majors in those 10 years somehow some way every single time he has found a way to lose it and so both guys with that that with that narrative structure going in with that with those reputations I was literally saying to my dad because my dad’s a big golf fan as well and yeah where I get my golf uh enjoyment from is was say I was saying to him I was like these two guys are doing everything they possibly can to give the US Open to the other person right like they are like the the three-foot putts that meloy that the Shambo could not close him out even though he was being gifted that and then finally people were comparing it to the Happy Gilmore scene where I mean Adam Sandler is is screaming at the ball because it won’t go in because he can hit the big he can hit the big shot he can drive but he can’t putt that’s what it felt like with ma with Roy mroy I mean it was within inches and he could have put the open away and it’s clearly mental at this point so that’s Elemental that’s like that’s like the equivalent of a layup like I mean people talk about golf being a mental game and I understand like I just from I’ve never played golf I’ve played mini golf and it’s definitely mental even in that situation where you’re like I have to put oh my God like what touch am I going to use for this like I mean golf I can’t even imagine I can’t even imagine it’s also a solo sport too so it’s like and this how I feel honestly with with Olympians with tennis players golf players is like you don’t really fall back on like a team when you make a mistake it’s completely on your shoulders it’s on you I mean tennis is that way too but it’s more based on athleticism and power as oppos a coach too I don’t know if you have I don’t necess I guess I don’t know you talk caddy but and maybe get some advice but this was the quote uh from uh who by the way Roy mroy just peeled out of the parking lot and didn’t answer questions which a lot of people were upset about I mean I who cares I am a as someone who plays a decent amount of golf if I have a bad round I want to I would I don’t want to talk I don’t want to like or if I have a bad shot in front of like three people I’m playing with I’m like yeah I could stop right now I could give it up right now and just to have that in your grasp and to be in the leag and and to let these putts just just get away from you I don’t even know what that must feel like and you there was footage of Moy basically in the what what do you call the scores in like the clubhouse club house um watching Bryson D Shambo finish which why it it suck that they were not paired together because that just would have increased the drama right totally totally um but I mean I don’t know why the open didn’t do that maybe it just was it was it that different on the leaderboard I think he had like two strokes on him so maybe he was just he potentially was just in his own cuz I’m not sure if he went out with the rules he was he was yeah but but to your point he was he was a hole ahead it would have been interesting to see them you know traversing the course together and then trying to out choke one another exactly and would have increased the the the the the drama of that but um yeah I mean like mroy this was his quote after again he didn’t talk to the media and he just peeled out of the parking lot yesterday was a tough day probably the toughest I’ve had in my nearly 17 years as a professional golfer and he wrote this I guess in a social media post or in a statement firstly I’d like to congratulate Bryson he’s a worthy champion and exactly what professional golf needs right now I think we can all agree on that he uh said quote he will Ru a few things over the course of the tournament including his two Miss putts on the 16th and 18th holes on Sunday oh my gosh on the 18th hole too um he went into the last five holes of the final round with a two-stroke lead but he missed two putts within five feet and finished with three bogeys on the three of the last four holes which opened up the path for Des Shambo to win hard to hear it’s literally three out of four it’s like it’s violent boogies not par Bogies and then missing them on man it’s so bad it’s so upsetting it’s just and also he’s and also what’s what’s also unfortunate is with especially just from like a aesthetic perspective is that maroy also like seems by all accounts by golfer standards go to be a pretty good guy he was pretty adamant in the beginning of not uh capitulating too much to the live golf tournament up to them and whereas Bryson dambo went immediately to where the uh enormous sacks of money that he could collect when if people don’t know what uh like Bryson dambo looks like just picture the guy at your college that was most into his frat and you’ll get a pretty good picture of what Bryson D Shambo looks like do you remember do you gu do you remember that movie um do you remember that movie um fired up no oh that’s like a it was like a jock College movie okay yeah uh he looks like kind of like an extra from one of those movies or from the CW Show Greek like that Greek life show like oh God I tried with that show that sucks he kind of looks like a guy like that yeah um but he also famously today was drinking red wine out of his US Open trophy with Eric Trump and and watching a uh video message that the former president uh recorded for him so well I don’t think mooy would do that uh he is an Irish lad but um it was sad because you know he as you said when he started off and was winning all those Majors again he won four majors from 2011 to 2014 he looked like he was on Pace to be a Tiger Woods type figure and he has not won one major since that point and he also has choked at the Masters before um he had a four-stroke lead in 2011 that he lost and then uh wasn’t able to complete that I believe people chalk that up to his age if I’m not mistaken am I getting that wrong what Ching up what to his age that when he choked away the Masters in 2011 well I mean yeah he was you were furing your brow and I thought that I said something no no no he was 22 he was and so people were basically saying oh he’ll you know he’ll get more seasons it’s different now when you know it’s I mean not to not to pile on him too too much but it’s different when you’re like a 35-year-old golfer with a you know 10 12 years of major experience under your belt yeah um but anyway that was the worst loss of his career and well and and he said as much he did and he acted as much I mean so I feel for him honestly but you can just um I had a debate with a family member who said something to me like golf is not a real sport and I just I’m like okay all right um that I don’t I don’t know about that you try because it really downplays the mental toughness that’s required of all sports but I mean in in golf it’s not maybe you know boxing or football where it’s about the most physical athletic PR uh guy um who can show off their prowess it’s about touch and vision and finesse and those kinds of things flexibility um body control uh and I don’t know how people do it I don’t know how those guys are able to play on those courses and be that good but the mental part of it is something that always stands out to me and I feel for Rory mroy I really do doing it doing the the the thing that always gets me just also as a player is just like the consistency to mechanically or your mind that a swing that you have to with the swing with the club that you do literally like 100 times or more however many times you do it per round just like goes for the most part where you want it to go like potentially hundreds of yards away from you yep yep yep yep yep all right final story here um the WNBA is still an obsession of the Republican party and the right-wing media space uh for uh are you good Bradley y oh okay cool sorry I just saw you I am me but that was about something else all right um so the the WNBA is for some reason uh what everyone on Fox newss and rightwing media wants to talk about right now I feel it’s so it’s hysterical because I feel like the last three shows we’ve done in my little uh show description thing that I put in the notes I always I I think for the last three weeks I’ve literally been like and the most recent NBA controversy and I’m like I need it to be over I need this to stop I want everyone who’s not involved with the WNBA to shut the [ __ ] up and stop talking about it yeah I mean okay so let’s just let’s play this latest absurdity if we can Tee It Up um I know maybe try Google Chrome and you might be able to get you you’ll be able to get it uh The Daily Beast love you guys but I don’t know why the player looks like this here we go so this was a uh a quote and I’m uh just brace yourself for immense levels of cringe from Fox News over the weekend about the game between Caitlyn Clark and Angel Reese out Chicago versus Indiana and that game I think broke records for the WNBA in terms of ratings it was like a 23e high or something like that in part because all the Republican white Knights have decided to graft on their uh toxic masculine impulses into protecting Caitlyn Clark from the scary black people that’s basically how they feel so they got a black guy to say it on Fox News and he says this our picks for the biggest stories everyone will be talking about this week and I’ll go first Caitlyn Clark took another hard hit today Angel ree hit her over the head and got a flagrant foul I’ll toss it to you at this Tom this is the Jackie Robinson of the WNBA she is getting abused yes well you know it’s she’s Target right okay Shar investor Kevin o is yeah let’s do that so you guys heard it right according to uh this Fox anchor uh what’s his name web David web David web Kaitlin Clark is the Jackie Robinson of the WNBA I think something is missing I think something is missing what is missing there systemic racism the legacy of slavery Jim Crow segregation black people being second class citizens as opposed to white people this country white supremacy the fact that this country was founded by white people who said that slaves will count as 3 fths of of a person and that black people were separated from their families uh and broken apart and uh sexually assaulted and treated like a property and whipped and abused and not paid and uh there was a whole Civil War fought over it and then they were treated as second class citizens and still to this day that Legacy is felt and that is the uh context in which we talk about race in this country is that what is being missed here yeah and also they’re playing basketball I don’t I don’t mean to be too sanguin I don’t mean to be too sanguin about this but like also it’s like Jackie like people in the stands wanted to not they didn’t want to like Jer at Jackie Robinson they wanted to kill him they wanted to literally murder him like that’s not the case with K like yes is sure Kaitlin Clark is receiving an enormous amount of scrutiny but a lot of it is coming from people like this on Fox who keep talking about this [ __ ] they want to drum it into some sort of like race war about it and and look I get it Angel Reese is acting like an [ __ ] she’s acting like an [ __ ] I get it but there are [ __ ] in the in the NBA are we going to talk about how Draymond say Draymond Green fouls a white like Luca donic at some point I don’t yeah are we gonna be like I’m GNA say this is LCA donic is the Jackie Robinson of the of the NBA if his name was like Luke T Luke T Luke Clark I mean Angel ree is trying to be a Draymond Green like like like villain in the situation and figure um she’s clearly playing this up I don’t love it I think it’s a little odd but also financially beneficial for her but I will say I will say not like not to fully defend that also because like and on one hand I I think the flagrant one characterization made sense only because like I feel like if her if her hand had been extended like a foot and a half more oh she was going for it she was smack she was not you think you don’t think she was going for the ball she she I don’t know if she was going for the ball there come on maybe not being too charitable I just thought maybe if it was like one inch CL she could have actually gotten the ball I she’s doing like a one-armed alligator arm thing where she’s swatting with a full extension of her arm as if she’s going I don’t know but so but so but even but if that’s the case which I which I could Grant you is definitely it’s certainly possible a part of me does understand when it’s like she’s been in the spotlight and had arguably more success yeah as a college player than Caitlyn Clark did and in the sense that they beat Iowa for the NCAA Championship last week so I think unfortunately for just the entire kind of like Championship NCA for May said that for the swirl of kind of like feelings and kind of all the complexes and stuff that may arise from this like toxic Caitlyn Clark discourse is that angel Reese might and I think in some of her comments makes it clear that she might feel some sort of like inferiority or like chip on her shoulder because she feels as if she’s part of the reason of the ground swell of of women’s basketball prominence and is kind of getting lost in the shuffle of the Kaitlin Clark discourse it doesn’t justify behavior I’m sorry like I I I’m not saying it justifies the behavior No Angel Reese like I the women that have been in this league particularly women of color black women that have an issue with Caitlyn Clark getting all this outsize attention and endorsement deals when they’re it’s like we’re grown women that have been Professionals for this time period and we never got this until a white girl came in and you know and also I just want to say her style of play is also extremely exciting and people love the fact that she can hit a shot from anywhere on the floor so that’s part of it it’s not just her whiteness it’s also the way that she plays and it’s like the the three ball is this the and the way that it’s shot in the WNBA hasn’t necessarily been um I don’t know I don’t want to go down that road but you get what I’m saying her scoring ability I think for casuals is a really exciting and enticing thing for to to to to to hook on to even for me even for me um but my point is like Angel Reese Angel Reese you are probably getting more attention because of this thing with Caitlyn Clark than you would if you were just a random random uh rookie in the WNBA I mean the the the rest of the rookies in the in this class are not getting the attention that angel Reese is getting yeah cuz like Camila cardoo is not going mixing it up like that no she’s not or Cameron Brink is not mixing up like that exactly but I mean cardoo is more talented than Angel ree I think and like you know and and just a different a different I would say honestly physical specimen to right right but well that’s the thing about her game that is special and I don’t necessarily know what stands out to me about angel Reese’s game except for the fact that she’s decided that she’s going to be the person that goes for Caitlyn Clark she’s a she’s a good rebounder she’s a good Defender but she’s the offensive game is pretty underdeveloped so I think it’s a lot of upside looking viewpoints with the offensive stuff certainly she can’t shoot same with kitlin Clark there’s a reason she was the first overall pick that’s all I’m saying oh 100% I just I just think it’s also not really when I say this I’m not it’s not sort of me attempting to rationalize any of the behavior I just feel like I’ve been noticing in her in her remarks or postgame remarks and press conferences and stuff there’s been a heavy emphasis on like it’s fine I’ll play the RO villain but I just want to people to remember that like I was in that game where we beat Iowa like some people are getting a different whistle than am like she’s whether it’s Justified or not she’s certainly animated and motivated by the fact that I think she believes she has been similarly integral to this new ground swell and attention to women’s basketball and is not receiving the same agulation or recognition as Caitlyn Clark is I just don’t know if she’s been similarly into girl I I’m that’s that’s I don’t I’m not even really necessarily making that making that claim I just mean I think that’s what she’s heavily implying in many many of her rivalry with Kaitlin Clark has been similarly integral but who’s like I mean who’s operating here in the in the attention grabbing element but but but and but on the other hand other on the other end of it all while that’s what I’m gleaning from how you know Angel ree has basically been reacting and and and and talking these in these pressers all Kaylin Clark’s response I mean to her credit has mostly been to be very complimentary of Reese and very um well yeah and and and and you know complement her as a player as what she’s doing with her platform and like as as like an athlete like she’s making it very clear Kaylin Clark is making it very clear that she’s not in any way shape or form interested in either a being a lightning rod for controversy in the WNBA and B she does not want to take up the mantle as like a cultural War Maven designed to be like a battering ram towards other black women athletes she just wants to play basketball I wish do I wish that she would say I don’t want this attention does it financially benefit her that she’s getting all this attention yes I wish she would go a little bit further but I’m also a political commentator for my profession and a political person and the literacy you’d have to honestly even like if hypothetically in the sense of like yeah to even know how to mount a sort of like statement like that where she’s just sort of being like I want to play basketball and I’m just more sympathetic to her for like the fact that she did not ask for this even if she’s not rebuking rebuking it in the way that I would she did not ask for this and I do I’m I’m hammering Angel Reese a little bit here because I just don’t I think it’s like the the other side of of of things and they’re trying to combat this insane like right-wing hysteria about this is also sometimes removing agency from Angel ree who is knowingly playing into this Draymond GRE green kind of role knowingly playing into like almost like a Patrick Beverly kind of thing women can do that in basketball I women can have personalities women can to be agitators women can be difficult to play against that’s what Angel Reese is trying to do and it’s it’s just it just shows I think a lot of people’s misogyny that they can’t register that women can play those kinds of roles that we’ve seen other men in the NFL in the NBA and whatever hockey whatever the case may be then play those kinds of things women can do that too but the only I which I agree with and I think and I think he was even bringing up the stuff from repressors just to be like I think like male basketball players do also with being having a potential agitator role is they have just as Angel Reese might have they have permission structures for that stuff yeah there’s a reason why Draymond Green remembers every single player that was drafted ahead of him before he got to the second round that’s that’s as much of a motivation and an influence factor for him to say I I kick my I kick my foot up like he I this is how I play on the other hand the one thing I don’t love about I agree with you that and especially we’ve seen it we also seen it as we were saying we look at look at videos from Candace Parker’s rookie year that she was the she was like the second coming for basketball when she came out women’s basketball when she came out and she was getting rocked on the court like literally like lit up so like I’m not saying that none of that is none of that is unique what I don’t love about the characterization from people who are very clearly not not engulfed or in in involved in this world they treated it as a joke before Caitlin Clark joined the league Dave poroy going out for as an example and tweeting the video saying Angel Reese is Bill and beer yeah Angel Reese and Chicago Sky doing Chicago Sky [ __ ] like it’s just like it’s a thin veil from them basic Chicago yeah it’s a thin veil of like in in when it’s deployed like that to basically say look at these thugs beating up a white 100% 100% And I can’t wait for that crap to die down because honestly the the if they’re if the sport and I have I have no doubt that this will happen but if they’re able to weather this just absurd storm manufactured by the right and like you know because they can’t fathom the idea of women being whole human beings and competitors in professional sports as well as sex objects for them and you know the old men that are watching the five or whatever Fox new show is on uh on on that current at that current moment like if they if once the wmba does weather this I do think they’re going to be set up in a much better position than they were previously and Hope hopefully things can just get a little bit less crazy after this explosive rookie year and the benefits can reach everybody and it’s less just about this nonsense drama as opposed to really the quality of play and the competition at hand totally and two points that I want to make that kind of just piggy back off not just this point but also the Jackie Robinson angle from our friend David web on Fox um first off it’s I it’s to you you make a great point about the fact that like we can we are very very capable of sort of flattening the Dynamics in women’s sports where as we genuinely champion and really enjoy like the drama and bombast and competitive spirit and fierceness of the competitive spirit in men’s sports in the sense of like as you’re saying like it can’t it’s it’s it’s sort of happening in in in both ways where the klin Clark Angel Reese drama is inflame is is sort of is is becoming Drama by virtue of how people are commentating on it while also being by all accounts whether whether it’s whether it’s kind of cynical to say this or not being extraordinarily s lucrative for the WNBA this you were saying this was this this Sky fever game this regular season game between the Chicago sky and the Indiana Fever Indiana Fever who had the first overall pick because it were so bad and this guy who had two picks in the top 10 and both teams are not good and both teams not particularly good and not like they’re not the aces they’re not the Liber they’re not even the Connecticut sun and and this this game had the most viewers in literally 20 years yep so on that on that end it’s genuinely good for the growth of the league and the growth of people and and the people’s exposure to the League this discourse is not but I also think we what we have to remember is to get to a level where this exposure can also then be met with I think the proper analysis and import of of this league like the NFL gets like the NBA gets like the mob gets we’re going to have to live with and also accept that like these are [ __ ] competitors these are women who are on the court who literally stepped out from college weeks before they became pro athletes to kick each other’s ass on the court and maybe the game could be slightly more stringently efficient so people don’t get injured like I understand that I’ve heard people make that case I get it but this but if we are willing as a viewing public and I certainly am to watch grown men in what would amount to [ __ ] Armor in the NFL literally do what one time Ravens rookie Marlon Davidson referred to just this is a real aside here but I just want to make the point yeah he said why would I not love football it’s the only way I can be violent without police this this like we I love that and I don’t love that sentiment to be clear I’m just saying we watch sports where comp competition intersects with real violence in football yes and also we watch competition that intersects with real real determination to do literally anything within the confines of that Court field whatever to win we have to apply that to the WNBA we can’t say oh that was too nasty too mean to Caitlyn Clark then we’re treating it with kid gloves yeah then we’re then we’re then we’re lit then we’re literally offering exceptions to what is an actual Le Sports league with actual athletes and then the other thing I just want to say about the Jackie Robinson thing really quick the only person who has been visited by to their house by people who wanted to harass them or do them harm was Kennedy Carter who uh hip checked Caitlin Clark which was potentially more analogous Behavior to what Jackie Robins had experienced when he came into the league in 1942 potentially all right that’s it that’s all I had to say Floyd the Barbera says the coverage of the WNBA is a reminder that we live in a patriarchal society the WR is trying to make it worse by race baiting I mean that kind of just sums it up exactly even the way that Cameron Brink has talked about right I mean her she’s also benefiting from outside’s media attention because of her wideness and because she’s an attractive woman but like everything I see on social media talking about her legs and her outfits and relax can can these can are guys like okay are men okay no men are men are men are disgusting have they never seen a woman before no no it’s different it’s different because it’s like oh it’s confusing we love this Sport and now I’m seeing a lady do it and I might think she’s hot oh boy I I I make this joke about um draft prospects when I’m like I’ll watch like a really good um just like technically sound offensive lineman but then I’ll watch somebody like uh amarius Mims from Georgia who’s like 68 and 340 and can I’m just like big boy every every person becoming to the W SE sees this sees this woman and it’s like wow tall lady pretty it’s like oh my gosh wa and it’s like everyone relax she’s like 20 years old I like the idea [ __ ] I mean that that you’re comparing amarius Mims as like a ball of clay for the Cincinnati Bengals to make into a starting offensive linemen to men projecting their sexual fantasies onto Cameron Brink cuz like that’s my that’s my cuz you’re not a weird o purr my my sublimating is just watching offensive line take you like those big butts and you cannot lie I’m just like whoa big guy move quickly big butt on man wow pancake block anyway um all right Nile from Trinidad says I agree with Bradley uh it could Ben in it could be ninja says Caitlyn Clark the new white shadow uh and Mom she’s uh looking at me okay no talking no touching and stop looking at your sister I don’t know what that means antifa lockart wow Caitlyn Clark final finally beat Angel Reese Floyd the Barber I wouldn’t know who Angel ree was if the media didn’t flip out over her ring gesture in 2023 yes and the final I am of the day n from Trinidad says I agree with Bradley and I don’t know which part that Emma Sports is my current favorite vigeland personality.
Another fun hour…Thanks!
Told y’all Jaylen Brown was that guy 7 years ago. Anyway, left is best and a Naz Reid to errbody 🤙💯✌️
Genuinely disappointed in the “asshole” comment about Angel Reese. Every current/former professional WNBA player I have seen who has commented on it called it a basketball play, a flagrant foul for sure, but still a miscalculation rather than a malicious act. Her eyes were on the ball the whole time. Calling her an asshole only indicates to me that you don’t really watch the WNBA to see a wholistic picture of Angel and just watch the “clickbait”. Whether you intend to or not, this reeks of misogynoir. If you watched her games, you would notice how good of a teammate she is.
I’m happy for Jrue Holiday but still depressed the fucking CeltiKKKs won the chip. Bucks gonna get it next year I believe in this team now that we will be more settled in
Good one, Emma. 👍
Bradley just a Celtics hater. Just couldn't bring himself to admit that Celtics were best team.
Without question, the best WNBA commentary that I’ve heard this season. And, of course, the hockey dialogue is always top notch.
Jayson Tatum trained with Kobe pretty frequently before his death. He seems like he is actually pretty quiet and nice to media. I think he’s just a convenient person to graph broader Celtics hate on to.
Bradley is lying his ass off about Tatum. Tatum sent that text in 2022 when the Celtics beat the heat in game 7
Please check my girl RICKEA JACKSON- love Clark too. Go Lady Vols
I love listening to New York sports fans, hating on Boston.😂🎉🎉
As a Philly native and life long resident the only part of The Proces i really disagreed qith vehemently was the trading of Jrue Holiday…hes always been my guy and we traded him away just as we were getting him real help
The opening music is mad trippy
How quickly everyone forgets Jason Brown is incapable of handling the ball against decent pressure defense
Brown is turnover machine it was just hidden rhis year by Jrues presence
Bob has been fantastic all post season its impossible not to give it to a goaltender who has run like this.
My guy Hextall won it when we lost The Cup…you just can't not give it to a goalie playing this well
Bob been doing this aince he started for my Flyers
Comment for the algorithm? Don't mind if I do 🧐
People are literally incapable of talking about the celtics without it devolving into inexplicable Tatum hate.
Growing up in the Boston area, my family members would always tell me “You don’t know how lucky you are” when talking about Boston sports orgs.
I've been hitting the gym lately, too. What are you using for triceps? Just weights? Cool routine, whatever it is… 🙂
BOSTON CELTICS- CITY OF CHAMPIONS BABY!!! 🏀🏀🏀😛😛😛
Before she got hurt the only WCBB player that was getting super attention was Paige "Buckets" Bueckers. CC started to get more hype with the lack of Paige. CC gained a whole new level of fans thanks in part to Reese mocking her with the Cena/Ring taunt. That is where I think Emma is clearly discrediting that there is a significant portion of people that latched on to CC only because of that and remain extremely vocal now. I also don't think the comparison to Draymond is fair with Reese. Draymond goes out of his way to kick people in the balls. Reese knows everything she does in play against CC is going to be amplified. She knows that there literally is going to be almost nothing that CC could do that is going to be a villain when it's between them. So she just accepts it. Her comments about calls is valid. Aliyah Boston averages like 3 fouls a game and had 0 called in that game. That was what Reese was referring to with the whistle. CC may only want to ball, and she may genuinely be a needle mover, but there were things and people that helped catapult her on top of the clear skills she has.
Wait, she knows about sports also?
The idea that the timberwolves, Denver, or OKC would beat Boston is laughable. Denver is the only one who stands a chance but they’ve literally never beat a 50 win team in the playoffs. The timberwolves would be picked apart by spacing even worse than they were by the mavs.
Caitlin Clark needs a teammate who will throw an elbow on her behalf. She needs an enforcer who will say “ok enough, you are not going to touch my rookie anymore without me taking you out”
i disagree with characterizing her as a patrick beverly or a draymond green: for one, shes a better player in her league than either of those guys, especially when they were rookies. I think she's pissed off because she thinks its bird vs. magic, and i think thats way more apt a description at the moment. but we have to let history play out, let angel reese back up her words with her play! let history play out.
The Boston Celtics are an American professional basketball team based in Boston. The Celtics compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. Founded in 1946 as one of the league's original eight teams, the Celtics play their home games at TD Garden, a shared arena with the NHL's Boston Bruins. The Celtics are regarded as one of the most successful teams in NBA history and hold the records for most NBA championships won, with 18, and most recorded wins of any NBA franchise.
