hello my friends today we’re talking Putters and I have three of these strangest Putters you’ve ever seen we’ve got the LI angle balance putter you might have seen that we’ve got this from caliber Golf and it’s not known for a putter head it’s known for this weird grip and then we’ve got uh this one from bloodline and for the life of me I just can’t figure out what’s so strange about it okay maybe I can let’s see which one is the strangest which one’s the best and which one we should avoid at all costs I’ll tell you putting can be a tricky animal and there’s no shortage of strange options out there when it comes to Putters I mean you’ve seen a million things I’m just scratching the surface here with the few weird ones I have but if they can give you confidence help get the ball in the hole more consistently then I guess anything’s worth giving a shot oh and if you’re wondering about my glasses I don’t typically wear them when I hit shots but I do like to protect my eyes a little bit in between shots so every now and then you might see these on me and they’re from Shaden I’ll leave a link in the video description below they’re really good lightweight glasses great lens on them uh and they hold and form fit to my head really nicely and these are ones you know you could throw on the your hat kind of like all the the cool guys do right right right here that’s a cool deal anyways uh they won’t break the bank either they’re reasonably sunglass priced so Link in the video for these guys that’s that let’s get to uh rolling The Rock because rolling The Rock hopefully sometimes helps your pocketbook and many times hurts it we’re trying not to hurt it this is from bloodline golf it is a standup putter it’s crazy here’s the deal with this a lot of people struggle lining up aiming aiming is a huge problem and aiming can jack up your stroke there comes a point where you could have such a jacked up stroke no matter where you aim it’s going to be bad so this is not going to help that all this will help you do is aim where you want to aim hopefully what I like to do is line the line up on the ball and then line the lineup on the putter set the putter down kind of come behind it recalculate it and then you’re good to go one of the Challen challenges with this is that when you regrab it a lot of people consciously subconsciously remove they move the putter face when they grab it habit whatever it is they still can tweak it when you grab it so you have to practice grabbing it and not moving the face just relax Shake It Out grab and go it does help in that regard it will not help a bad stroke but if a bad stroke is caused because of poor aim or Club face alignment then it would straighten that part out other than that it’s just strange and helps you kind of figure things out but then again remember this your aim could be so bad that when you finally aim correctly you feel awful so there’s going to be a learning curve you’re going to have to get used to that I think this is best if you play a lot for money cash things like that this will definitely bother your playing competitors your opponents especially when you’re making putts oh they’re going to get so annoyed with you for that reason alone I think it’s totally worth it what I don’t like about this is this the grip it is the lightest grip that you can imagine it is so light it’s kind of annoyingly light I don’t like that you can’t really get a heavier grip because it won’t stand up anymore it will tip over right now it’s bottom heavy if it were to be topheavy it wouldn’t stand up so you can’t really get any counterbalance going on so if you like that this is not for you this is for somebody who only likes head weight and definitely has a huge problem with alignment it is USGA legal so not only can you bother your playing opponents you can totally them out because they’re going to be like that should be illegal but it’s not it is legal that alone makes it uh a no-brainer cuz you will win money with it so whatever you spend on this you’re almost guaranteed to collect it back that’s the bloodline is it the strangest should you stay away from it we’ll find out at the end of the video now what is this I know you will look at this and you will say like I said hey that’s a bent nardy that’s a bent nardy Putter and you sort of would be right now these guys from caliber golf can basically put any head almost any head on this this is what’s weird and strange about this putter it’s the grip the grip is sort of a Hockey style grip when I was growing up I had such poor penmanship I still do that my mother was in dire desperate search for a way to fix my penmanship so she got me these pencils that were used by construction workers that were kind of shaped like this so they wouldn’t roll off the roofs it didn’t help my penmanship so I don’t even know if this is going to help bad putting stroke but it is strange and interesting what’s weird about this is the feel of this this is a rubbery style feel so think about like if you had a rubber bat and you hit a baseball with it really at like underhanded pitch baseball and you hit it with a rubber bat that’s kind of the vibration you feel in the handle it doesn’t like vibrate a ton but you can definitely feel it I don’t know yet if it’s good or bad it’s very different than any other putter feel you’ve ever had not Tinky clingy clanky but soft kind of rubbery hard rubber vibration feel you can use almost any style of grip with this cross-and regular even some type of arm lock if you wish but because it’s kind of a Hockey style grip I went with more of a Hockey style grip and what it allowed me to do was split hand grip and I could get so low my eyeballs were almost like I was almost like shooting pool I was so low now if you got a bad back I don’t know if that’s the style in which you want to use this style of putter grip but I was so low I felt like I couldn’t miss I was right there in it and I could hit those short putts with aggressive speed I just didn’t think I was going to miss cuz I was like at bird’s eye view or what worm eye view whatever you want to call it I was right there at ground level and it was just easy to just bang bang bang bang hit it in so incredibly strange for sure I’ve never putt it like that as I did it I kind of had a lot of fun doing it so it’s addictive but you do look weird and everybody stares at you on the putting green so it could work for you but if you’re self-conscious kind of person it just might work against you but if you’re winning money it don’t matter what you look like cuz you’re collecting the cash is it the strangest should you avoid this one more to look at and we’ll get the tally the results lab golf lab direct Force putter lie angle balance however you want to call it you’ve seen these around there’s a few different models different shapes they all have the same technology is that there’s the balance point is pretty neutral like if you look at any other putter there’s a definite balance point like it’s not perfectly it doesn’t roll around like like that right and they use this weird Contraption a lot and they show you that as you take it back all other Putters would rotate want to rotate but this doesn’t therefore they claim that there’s no rotation going on during the stroke what they fail to mention scientifically is this cuz they say you have to fight the other Putters by holding it from rotating as if you’re wrestling some type of alligator that’s totally not the case It Takes a Minute amount of grip pressure to keep the putter from wanting to rotate so basically nothing you’re going to be holding this equally as powerful as any other putter on the market therefore that type of Technology it’s cool for selling Putters it’s not true scientific data that says it’s needed to make more putts needless to say this putter is ridiculously expensive $900 range is is what you’re looking at the grip is cool uh as you can tell it’s got kind of an offset grip to help keep your hands ahead of the shaft and the putter head so that’s pretty cool grip I think that’s probably the most scientific thing of this but you can put that grip on any putter you want too so you can get those separate you have to you must get specifically fit for the lab putter in order for it to work for you properly they feel heavy but when you putt with it it feels incredibly light I don’t like the large bulkiness of this they do have other models where they’ve shrunk down inside size considerably so that’s always an option too however they are crazy expensive a lot of people are using these with great success I will say that when you line up and you look at it yes it’s giant but because of their technology I think you can strike it nearly anywhere on the putter face and it’s The Sweet Spot you’re not losing a lot off toe and heel as you with other putter so I think the science helps in that regard but not really holding it from rotating the face if you have an open face it’s going to be open regardless of what you do it just helps when you miss strike off center it is strange it is giant it’s going to turn some heads if you have confidence you’re going to make putts lack of confidence you’re never going to make a putt no matter what you use I know what you’re going to ask which one goes in my bag that’s a really great question I goof around with all these the caliber golf is the one that kind of is the closest to being in my bag I would say avoid none of them because they are all worth something to somebody in some way shape or form ah for me the most fun to use the most fun is the standup putter the second most fun is is the caliber golf Hockey style putting and the one I like unfortunately the least for me is the lab putter primarily because I got the most giant version of it I think if I got the smaller one I might like it a lot better because I do like the feel of it a lot although I don’t think the rotational thing is that important it does have an incredible feel the best feel of all of them which one do you avoid I don’t think any are don’t get this the lab one’s the most expensive so if you’re on a budget you’re going to have to avoid that one I’d say the easiest one to test out would be the caliber golf but I like them all in a strange way love you guys see you next time

  1. LAB Costs the same as Evenroll, Scotty, BETTINARDI etc. any premium brand putter. Also, you’re wrong about the balance being a sham, it all depends on your putting stroke – toe balanced, face balanced and LAB are dependent on your putting arc or straight back straight through. Love your shiz regardless ✌️

  2. John Letters had a stand alone putter 30-ish years ago! Must have been heavier than that Bloodline thing as it had a standard grip!
There was a guy called Paul Trevillion who developed an extreme version of the split grip with the very low hand with a similar idea to the Caliber in the 1960’s, wrote a book about it, demonstrated it to Peter Alliss who got the yips and it was phenomenal but NEVER caught on and Alliss never used it in competition as you looked so daft!
You really should find a Boccieri Heavy putter, it’s design IS rocket science as it was a NASA engineer who designed it and when I had the yips, I went from a Broomhandle to a Boccieri mallet and I did beat the yips, using a Mizuno M-craft IV wide blade now!

  3. The bloodline Vale putter changed my life. I realized that standing behind the ball during my lineup solved a ton of my alignment problems. I still keep my left hand on the putter to keep within the 2025 rule change. Took 3-5 strokes off my 18 hole score.

  4. I thought the LAB putter was the most amazing putter I had ever tried. No way in my lifetime I could afford one though. I found a $30 Bobby Grace V foil that felt equally amazing. Now I have to figure out what to do with the $870 saved! lol. Love my BG

  5. The stock LAB putters are $450-$500, not $900. Every PGA Super Store has 5-7 used ones for $350. Many PGA pros started bagging it for a reason, it works

  6. I tried a LAB putter in my local PGA Golf Superstore. The price was $450. I really liked it, way more than I thought. No way in hell will I pay $450 for it. My Odyssey White Hot works fine.

  7. The anti-rotational tech of the LAB is the real deal. I’ve gamed one, exclusively, for 14 months. You still have to hit the right line and speed, but the real science or benefit of it is over time. For the previous 40 years, I always had to find the putter that “fit my swing”. There were days that I felt like I was fighting the putter. I’ve putted with my LAB putter over 5400 times. There are 4 times, yes just 4 times, I FELT like I twisted the putter in the stroke. I’m sure I have made bad strokes, but I have only felt like it was the stroke 4 times. I average 27 putts per round, so I miss at least 9 putts per round. Those I always feel like I missed because of Aimee it wrong or too hard or soft.

With traditional Scotty and Odyssey it was not uncommon for me to feel like I made a bad stroke for full days at a time.
