Today I’m sharing 5 kayak fishing tips to help you catch more fish! These kayak fishing tips are culled from the lessons learned from my first year of kayak fishing. They are the kayak fishing tips that I wish someone had shared with me when I first started kayak fishing.
Just over 1 year ago I began kayak fishing and, as a beginner, I made many mistakes along the way. My grandmother taught me that it’s good to learn from your mistakes, but it’s even better to learn from someone else’s mistakes! So I hope that you catch more fish than I did in my first year of kayak fishing by applying these lessons while you’re out in the marsh. And, if you’ve got some tips to share for beginners, or at any level, please leave them in the comments below. We will all learn that way!
Oh, and the meal I’m making is Smoked Redfish and Rice…wait till you see how that redfish turns out at the end of the video! I wish I could somehow capture the smell for you! It’s a pretty simple recipe…Redfish on the half shell, also the throat, butter, garlic, and a generous dusting of Tony Chachere’s Original Creole Seasoning. Smoke that for a while, then roast it over the fire and serve it with a little seasoned rice.
