hi there everyone and welcome back to the channel as you can see we’re finally out on the golf course here at Howley Hall we got two brand new pairs of shoes from under arour to try out here today part of the drive pro series of Footwear that they have out for this season I’ve got a spikeless and a spike pair to try out here today give you a bit of a feeling of what they like to play in what they’re like to walk around the golf course in but also a little bit about the tech of these shoes many of you will already own under arour golf shoes this is the first time I’ve ever put a pair of these on so I’m kind of you know I don’t really know what to expect to be honest but they look extremely comfy I really like the styling of them particularly the spike pair in this nice gray color that we’ve got I think looks really really good so let’s talk about the technology in these shoes so we’ve got the swing support system that under arour have used uh throughout the kind of last few series of of Footwear really but the smart traction on the on the sole is going to help us grip a little bit better you can see there’s quite a lot of spikes in here normally you only get two in the heel of a golf shoe but we’ve got four in this one so I’m expecting these to be extremely grippy we’ve also got the Dual foam cushioning in the kind of heel and midsole here um in that hover technology that we’ve come to know from under arour I’ve actually had some training shoes and gym shoes that I’ve had with that in and they’ve been extremely comfortable and also the lock down lacing system so this is something that’s going to help keep these shoes really locked in really fitted and give you you all the support you need throughout a round of golf so I’m going to play a few holes here at Howley today I’m going to start off with the spikeless version that I’ve got and then we’re going to swap shoes We’re going to play in the spike one and tell you exactly what we think so having just switched into the spiked version and hitting a few shots off the te there is a huge difference in the grip okay so I probably struggle when hitting the driver off that um off the tee with the Spiker shoe my left foot particularly see I do move my feet a lot not quite Scotty Sheffer like but I move my feet a lot during the swing and that left foot always spins a little bit particularly when hitting driver and kind of felt like that was moving a lot and I was almost slipping on it when I was hitting the driver off the last T this one very very solid I’ve just hit three or four three Woods really nice flights that I’ve hit and very very stable in terms of how I felt when turning through the ball as well so so far so good so having played a few holes now with the drive Pro spikeless and spiked golf shoe um I can say they’re both very very comfortable what I would say is because of I’ve said before in the video I move my feet quite a lot when I’m hitting go shot I preferred the stability that the spiked one gives me I think looks wise they’re obviously quite similar but probably prefer the looks maybe of this one it’s a bit more simple doesn’t have the kind of vents on the side of it not that you can really see that in the playing position but they are quite a similar golf shoe um when it comes to looks but yeah I think overall if I was going to pick one it’d be this one in terms of price you’re look at about 150 for a pair of these 130 for a pair of the spikeless so depending on whether it price is an issue for you that maybe be a um a factor in the choice but certainly if you’re someone who really needs that stability really wants that extra grip the spiked version for me just wins out ever so slightly but they’re both extremely comfortable and obviously look great and as you’ve seen out on the golf course really do the job hopefully you’ve enjoyed that video it’s been great to get out here testing them finally in the sunshine here in leads hopefully you’ve enjoyed it hit the comment section if you got any questions about these shoes or anything you want to know about the new shoes from Under Armour we’ll see you soon
