where the sun is shining the weather is sweet and where just four months ago Wilson haste put on a consumate performance to turn back Toby [Applause] Meek tonight the MMA Legend returns in our main event as he looks to spoil the debut of his compatriot and former UFC veteran Bruno the tiger soua also in action as part of a stack main card the return of former title Challenger Roberto Hernandez and Fan Favorite Damon Wilson this is Warriors 173 what in the world huh you my NES H you never return huh in the [Music] J good evening ladies and gentlemen welcome to the saquan casino resort welcome to San Diego and welcome to the prelims for cage Warriors 173 my name is Brad wton I’ll be calling the exit from cage side tonight alongside the excellent Angie Hill Angie it’s great to be back here in a very very hot San Diego yeah it’s really hot you must love it right you got to get you down to the be I’m an English man I’m not used to this kind of heat but we’ll get through it we’ll get through it no it’s been awesome I’ve got to go through training camp with a lot of the guys that are on this card I know a lot of the San Diego Fighters that have already fought on cage Wars are coming back and we got a lot of guys here who have gone overseas too so cage Warrior San Diego Army is getting bigger and bigger every day well you can do most of the heavy lifting tonight then I’ll I’ll I’ll take it easy you know all these guys out the back of your hand this is going to be absolutely fine look we’ve got a fantastic card coming up to you tonight let’s take a look at what’s going down on the preliminary portion of cage Warriors 173 well we’re going to kick things off with Elias for curry taking on Chris ir and Andre if I could just bring you in on this one for a second Chris Owen took this fight yesterday morning as the weigh-in uh were basically just about to get started so just 24 hours notice this guy’s got some serious Stones man I didn’t know when that decision was made but I was like okay didn’t watch any tape on this guy but he definitely has some kahunas coming in here on one day’s notice definitely my style kind of guy yeah here you has a very impressive amateur background and very much looking forward to his Pro debut here tonight we then got lightweight action Anthony the Sila taking on Joseph Perez any insult on that one Andie man no I don’t really know these guys personally but they’re uh amateur records are really impressive they fight on a they fought on shows called um epic which is really big amateur show out here a lot of guys get their proven ground on there and these guys have had uh tremendous fights on that show so I know they’re going to be coming out here and swinging and banging yeah expect fireworks in that lightweight contest and from the lightweights we move to the heavyweights I’m a big fan of the heavyweights and I don’t know about you big sha Rose the biggest guy on the car today he came in at just over 265 yesterday and he’s taking on chadrick Kindle uh who we saw I believe either the last show or the show before here in San Diego he fought another big guy then but he’s given up about 35 tonight so that’s going to be an interesting one man talk about kahunas and Shad Rose I was at his weight cut he actually had to lose weight to make heavyweight so you know he’s going to be big and strong in there against chadri kindall and chadri kindall he had a really impressive fight even though it was lost it was a scrap he showed a lot of grit and I know Sean is going to have his work out him cut out for him tonight yeah if Sean Rose says it’s Tuesday it’s Tuesday as far as I’m concerned that’s some of the action we’ve got coming up on our prelims but don’t forget folks we’ve got a massive main card here for you tonight in San Diego we’re going to kick things off with bant action James settle taking on magamed B now a lot of people talking about be is one to watch this is a guy who’s been fighting on the regional scene over in Russia the first time fighting out of Russian territory tonight he’s coming into his opponent’s backyard this has got fireworks written all over it it does and I think James is a big Underdog in this C but he definitely has the skills that it takes to upset the Russian fighter he has a lot of experience he’s been training with highlevel guys for at least 10 years and he really has a lot of skills that can surprise magamed I think this is going to be a really great one magamed did Miss weight yesterday but they agreed upon a weight to come in tonight and luckily the fight is still happening cuz I think it’s going to be fireworks yeah absolutely they do have coming in under the agreed 150 limit today so that one does go ahead and I think the most crucial point there which you made Angie was that James settle’s got nearly double the experience of this guy so you can buy all the hype you like but you can’t buy the experience that’s going to be earned in the cage so very interested to see that one next up we got a four fight Showcase in the featherweight division one of cage Warriors historically strongest divisions and we Ki it off with Xavier Vines the professor taking on the debuting go bigone I was really impressed with Xavier last time he’s one andone so far on cage Warriors so going to be looking to get back into the winner circle here tonight definitely I think the main thing that kind of hurt him in his last fight was his cardio so that’s an easy fix if you already have the skills you already have uh you know the good team and everything working on that cardio so you could be as good in the first round as you are in the last round or vice versa is what he has to focus on for this fight and Diego Bigalow he’s going to be coming at him trying to make a big statement in San Diego today absolutely another featherweight bout on the card next Brandon Carillo versus Damon Wilson now this is my pick for call it the people’s main event call it fight the night this is the fight that I’m most looking forward to I’m a big Damon Wilson fan and I know that Brandon carilla always brings it he always brings it he always brings a fun fight too and both of these guys have a huge Army coming in in San Diego uh Brandon CIO he trains with um with um Miguel PM yes he trains with him at a game bread and then D Wilson he chains with the whole Alliance gang so he brings in a huge Army every time he fights we already heard them popping tonight when they were announcing the fighters on the main card so this is going to be a loud one we’re going to have to scream on our mics for that one yeah the The Nomad back in the cage Warriors cage after a 12-month breaker and cillo as well has only really competed sporadically so a lot of question marks over this one and that’s what makes it entertaining that’s what makes it exciting that’s what makes me want to tune in Co Main Event time Javier Garcia el Mariachi taking on Rober so green light Hernandez now Roberto coming into this one off the back of his first cage Warriors title shot uh he moved down to 135 in that one didn’t get the job done on the night he’s back at 145 for this one and he’s undefeated at that weight and cage Warriors yeah this is going to be a good one for him and you know what I think even though he says that 145 is where he feels the most comfortable those losses give you so much when it comes to just uh learning how to fix mistakes focusing on things that you don’t really focus on when you have a huge win streak like he did so seeing that having that fight and seeing where he can improve on things get things uh a little more nipped into shape that’s going to get him closer to getting more finishes again and getting more wins again and have Garcia really really excited to see this guy in his cage Warriors debut tonight you know he he’s come in with some big talk this week he says he believes he’s one of if not the best featherweight outside the UFC so were he to come in here in his debut tonight and beat Roberto Hernandez that would be a huge career moment for Javier Garcia it would you know he has the flare he has the look he has the skills he could definitely be a staple in cage Warriors if he’s able to get this win and Roberto Hernandez is such a big name in the San Diego C cage Warrior scene that getting a big win over that that’s just going to shoot him to the top of the um of the featherweight team yeah interesting time in the cage Warriors featherweight division of course we just crowned a new Champion Harry Hardwick uh and he said he’s going to have an eye on our main event tonight of course we got Bruno soua making his cage Warriors debut taking on Wilson hes and what a fight for our main event here tonight Andre ah man I love it when you get the UFC vets fighting together because they’ve both been through it they both seen the big lights they both see what it’s like to come back down and you have those skills that you were able to hone when you get to that stage where you fight the best of the best uh Wilson Hayes he has a wealth of experience and then Bruno sza he’s tasted that Limelight he does have a chance to get back in he’s still pretty young and he’s definitely going to have to try to make a big a statement against Wilson Hayes in order to be on this path back to the Big Show yeah absolutely Bruno Su of course the karate stylist and prodig of leoo MAA you know he’s coming in here tonight and as you said looking to get back into the UFC and having a name like Wilson’s on your resume that’s potentially going to be the ticket for him we’ve got maybe a classic old school Striker versus Grappler thing here we know these guys can do everything yeah we know Bruno is good on the ground as well we know Will’s can strike we saw him knocked down Toby Meek last time out uh still looking for that elusive first professional KO imagine the scenes if he got that here tonight against Bruno suar I know he’s looking for that KO man I got a submission in my last fight I wouldn’t be surprised if Wilson got a KO in his in in this fight uh our team over at uh azka and SoCal fight team we’ve been really haing everything together everyone’s been kind of spread out before we all got together but now you got about four of the guys on this card and it’s going to be a heck of a show tonight absolutely look one uh brief change to our preliminary card that the Miguel peber Steve Mo about will now not happen on the preliminary portion of our card Miguel unfortunately not cleared by the State athletic commission here in California so unfortunately that about not happening but look we’ve had a crazy fight week so far here in San Diego why to take a look at some of the scenes from backstage with cage Warriors 173 unlocked to be honest like I’ve been watching G Warriors growing up and it’s pretty nice to be M event at cage Warriors you know uh I have plans for that gloves that glov is going to be on my wall at some point and the atmosphere in San Diego I hope it’s going to be on fire I know uh wison is it’s a it’s a home Hometown guy probably they’re going to be supporting him but we are used to that I mean it’s an honor to fight him to be honest you know I have all respect com to this fight but I truly think uh his pick is gone and that’s my turn to to to to capture a little bit of that experience that he going to he going to uh bring to the Octagon my team know what I want my managers know everybody knows my family but I know the F that white batt was on the line in the last show and I’m looking for that I’ve been on a year layoff and man the year’s flown by honestly but sitting on a loss for that long has has Aid at me a little bit um I feel like you know I’ve worked on a lot of different things and and being here on fight week it just feels familiar you know I’ve been here with the promotion seven or eight times now um you know I feel like a veteran at this point I know all these guys working behind the camera so uh yeah it’s exciting and it just feels like home tune in guys you know UFC Fight Pass uh June 7th on Friday at Squan Casino uh if you couldn’t get your tickets tunee in on Fight Pass and it’s going to be one hell of a show you know you got my my uh my brother and my teammate Wilson haes uh headline in the card he’s always an exciting guy to watch a legend of the sport I’m blessed to be able to train with him and and be on the same card so tune in for the show my name is El Mari Javier Garcia hi fight out of cmma California makes martial arts and I’m fighting Roberto Hernandez I was already the number one um fighter in the west coast in California one of the things that Separates Me from all these other guys is uh the way I fight and how I come at these guys with no fear and uh and uh how I’m willing to just take on these challenges man I’m expecting the atmosphere be crazy I got a lot of people who are coming through from all different parts of California um I used to live in San Diego I trained over there at Victory MMA uh with Jeff Glover and all those guys for a bit so I have a lot of friends in San Diego I’m expecting it to be quite quite a party the fact that he says that you know he’s very arrogant to claim that you are the best 145 pounder outside of the UFC when you’re literally ranked number seven there’s a reason why you ranked number seven um I’m ranked higher than you and I’m going to show you where you belong I’m going show you why you ranked number seven I’m above you and um you you’re just a good guy to look good on I won’t for I’m still undefeated at 145 I have never lost a fight at 145 and I’m going show why I’m going remind people who slick daddy who Mr the green light is feel great man I feel like manent where I belong you know and I hadl those cars in San Diego I I watched Bruno before in UFC when he for UFC I also watch him karate because I know one my friends to P SPS for karate comat I got to watch the event as well and uh the guy is the stud man the stud you know he’s a beast Brazilian guy man you know we always bringing the fight to you know to whoever fighting you know so um I’m excited know I got like a a hard task ahead you know I got folks on my target you know and I’m super excited Super trained those fights uh bring the best out of me so I’m be ready to take in the pr show going to a finish man I’m going to push it the whole time to finish him I believe I’ll be able to you know to add some good shots and takes him down and put him away on the ground the first one that’s going to be weighing is the feather W completely disrespectful B is at 138 even [Music] James’s weight [Music] 135.0 all good let’s go next fight is that feather weight Diego’s weight’s 145 5.7 Xavier’s weight’s [Music] [Music] rand’s weight’s [Music] 144.5 I’m running this [Music] way Damon’s weights 145. 6 the middle [Music] good aier weighed 145. n Roberto’s weights 146 even [Music] green [Music] light bro’s weight’s [Music] weights [Music] 145.5 well Fantastic look behind the scenes here fight week in San Diego is always a whole lot of fun but we have a whole lot of fun coming up inside the cage now and to get that underway here’s Mr K Ean ladies and gentlemen good evening and welcome to saquan casino resort here in the beautiful city of San Diego California we have an incredible night of fights All For Your Entertainment and we are live on UFC Fight Pass it is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to cage Warriors 173 and now fight fans you’re opening bout set for three rounds in the 198 lb catchweight division first making his way to the cage from Los Angeles California ilas [Music] faki well here we go folks getting our prelims on the way here at the saquin casino resort ilas bakiri making his way to the cage fights out of Los Angeles California but represents proudly his home nation of the Ukraine kickboxer by trade only 0 and one in professional mixed martial arts now this guy’s had a bit of a journey to get here he he was originally supposed to fight Chase esam in February of this year unfortunately uh that bout fell through we found out yesterday that chase esman unfortunately not been cleared again uh by the State athletic commission here Alias fakiri must have been s despair at that point but as we alluded to earlier Angie the uh Chris Owens stepping into this bout at the 11th hour so that must have come as a huge relief for Elias here it must have you wait all this time you have uh you have like a long fight camp and then your opponent pulls out you feel like you’re just doomed to never have a fight I I have a teammate that’s going through that right now and then for someone to step in short notice it it’s really you you’re almost grateful for that person you almost don’t want to hit him too hard because you’re like man I want to be having this experience if you didn’t have the guts to jump in here and take this fight so kudos to both of these guys he finally gets to do what he wants and yeah other guy gets a quick paycheck and his opponent set to make his entrance to the cage out of the Red Corner Chris Owens [Music] Chris Owen making his professional debut here tonight crazy enough that he takes this fight on a day’s notice even crazier that this is his first professional contest but this is a guy who’s been around the circuit for some time first amateur fight back in March of 2015 seven amateur fights in total I believe or at least seven on record finished with a nice four and three Ledger and won his last three before making this Pro debut here tonight 28 years of age and of course training out of Joe Stevenson’s Cobra K so we know he’s going to be well prepared for this one coming out of such a well-respected gym yeah he’s coming out of a good gym he just fought last year uh his last amateur fight so he’s probably been W in the GoPro for a while he might be one of those guys that are like uh like his opponent just having trouble nailing down that first fight so he must have jumped at the opportunity it looks like he’s in shape and ready to go um this is a blessing for him as well this is like a great opportunity if you’re able to take advantage of a short notice fight always do it because that’s not just a quick paycheck but you get to get that experience in that you might be having trouble getting in the first place Joe daddy in the suit tonight in the corner this man this man’s looking stylish wow he’s up in the game up in the level of coaching and the fashion we love to see it let’s get the with under way with our man in the cage Mr cazan once again ladies and gentlemen this opening batt will be three rounds in the 198 lb catchweight division introducing first out of the blue corner he is a kickboxer standing 6’1 in tall officially weighing in at 197.4 lbs his second time stepping into the Octagon he is looking to secure his first Victory from Los Angeles California ladies and Gent gentlem man ilas [Music] fory and his opponent across a cage out of the Red Corner this mixed martial artist standing 6′ 1 in tall officially weighing in at 1996 lbs even holding a professional record he is making his MMA debut he hails from Fontana California please welcome Chris gold Owen referee in charge the action Raphael Davis Mr rafhael Davis about to get this one underway three five minute rounds if they need them at a catch weight of 198b Elias furi in the yellow and blue of the Ukraine Chris golden Owen in the solid black here go forur looking absolutely jacked there’s another guy who looks like he was made in a lab in [Applause] Ukraine he have to think Owen saw something when he looked at that tape to say yes right away he had to have seen something that he could take advantage of which is why he comes in here so gutsy for his first fight as a pro nice body kick there from furi to open things up it’s almost a kick with the toes right in the side that hurts almost more than a shin oh nice pull here we had two body kick KO in a row at our last show in Newcastle oh nice body kick season it seems I like that little kick I mean I like that um answer to the kick yes that right hand viir is a little wobbly right now yeah just put him on skates a little bit looking to close the distance zoen switch it to the single that tries to drag his man up the cage doesn’t get him down good job by because in his last fight he had some trouble with the takedowns he wasn’t able to defend as well was just kind of stuck on his back like a turtle it looks like he really put into work to stop that from happening again of course fakiri 33 years of age and and only recently making the switch to MMA and wrestling is the hardest thing to learn as an adult if you’re if you have kids that you think might do MMA at some point in their life put him in wrestling right now might not be your wish to have an MMA fighter as a kid oh very nice nice big double leg lift off of the fence put him down in the middle which is going to make it even harder for fakiri to get back up fakiri trying to kick his man away but back into that straight ancle Lo wow another gutsy move takes a fight on a day’s notice and then goes for a straight ankle Lo in an MMA fight I feel like fakiri can just strength out of this though Flex his foot and and stay out of danger of getting his ankle messed up open Now The Hills out but he just missed it I think F’s yeah he’s safe tries to scramble gets back to his feet and a couple of nice knees there from the Ukrainian feel like VI’s hips are a little tight I want him to just really let go on one of those kicks I think he get a lot more respect from Owen if he does that Joe stevensson calling for another big TI down yeah but that takes energy sometimes you don’t have energy when you don’t have a fight [Music] camp O you can always throw that right hand yeah needs to be careful he thr those kicks he’s dropping his hands a little bit too much maybe fakir can sprawl really hard here and get uh get Chris onen off him I don’t think he realizes how tired he is now that his fingers are locked it makes the take down a lot easier but you still need that extra that explosion to get that fight to the ground needs to lift his head just so he can get on away from being able to grab his knees now he’s starting to do it call for Action there from referee rapael Davis oh cute little elbow chopping elbow from viiri they’re going to have to do something with this position now man I feel like en’s regretting this decision right now he used a lot of energy to get that Tak down and once fakiri was able to get up that’s the one thing that is hard to tell from tape how strong a fighter is off of their back and even though fakiri was stuck on his back in his first fight he still was moving a lot he you can see how strong and how big he is so I think this fight might be a little harder than no one expected I guess it’s really one of those no lose situations for him you know if he comes in and and loses this fight he took it on 24 hours notice that’s fair enough everyone’s going to command his bravery but if he can come in and pull it off here tonight Chris golden ow is going to look like the Golden Boy yeah and he’s definitely finding success with his right hand if he just keeps bouncing around waiting resetting and waiting for that kick to come that’s a perfect time to counter fakiri cuz it’s been working all around fakiri needs to be smart with his kicks he needs to set him up with punches first before he whips it in his head is there to be hit fin seconds of the round up oh and landed a few in the dying seconds there yeah and let’s see how much he can recover with the very sve Joe daddy Stevenson giving him some instructions here I mean Angela if you’re in the corner now if you’re in Joe Stevenson’s shoes what’s the advice here for Chris Orman going into this second round the advice would be Energy Management do a big explosion but then reset if he gets him down to the ground be heavy don’t waste too much energy down there catch your breath again once you get that big take down and then start to work he landed a lot of nice right hands over the top when fakiri would throw kicks that take down against the fence it took a little bit of energy for him but once he get the fingers locked I feel like he can lift them all day even when he’s dead tired so that’s what I’d be telling him try to work your way to the fence slowly don’t there’s no rush you still have two rounds to get this fight and he’s up around in my opinion so yeah just don’t sweat it do what you can stay safe back up here we go fight you ready you ready here we go St around fight Carri looks a little winded too his hands are really L get cold again with that right hand if I’m curious coach I’m telling him to lift the left hand put something in the way of that right overhand that’s coming at him yeah I think defensively pir’s got a lot of work to do to to shore up those tools and he has a kickboxing background that’s what the intro said so like to see some kickboxing like do some boxing on top of the kicking there you go fighting in the phone booth there briefly the leg kicks are actually working for fakiri I think he I think if he starts to set it up with a jab especially with that right hand coming over the top be he wouldn’t be eating as many [Applause] counters got his chins in the air taking some shots now that was really nice though right in front of us and he landed that punch straight as an arrow right down the middle oh and that one that one s that one sounded low to me yeah you heard little tip for Tat fakiri is going to have five minutes now or up to five minutes rather to recover let’s take a quick look back at this now oh yeah caught him right in the bottom of the cup there and obviously the referee took a moment to to intervene and fakiri unfortunately eating another right hand I think fakir is going to take the full five here he’s uh he’s chilling yeah there’s different schools of thought you know some people will say if look if you can get up and get back into it do it don’t give your opponent the rest other times like this you know the these are two big guys and maybe that 2 or 3 minute break is he’s going to let him get some oxygen back into his lungs yeah you know there’s a lot of Fighters who get their best knockouts after a nut shot whether it’s them giving it or receiving it they get that reset they get to get the oxygen back in their body and then they come out swinging had a very interesting situation in Newcastle in the Kennedy Freeman fight a couple of weeks ago and her opponent it looks like her opponent had been hit low and uh she was saying that she couldn’t continue from it the referee looked to the replay it did not land low and she was forced to carry on I saw that I was flabber gastic I don’t think I’ve ever been hit that hard in the in the cter to not continue a fight but that’s pretty funny I mean not for her but I mean what did it hit though if it was devastating on the replay it looked like it hit the leg and she was maybe making a something of it that that wasn’t actually there but yeah very unique situation it was it was that was a great fight yeah God bless the instant replay do you need the doctor and the referee asking for curry now if he needs the doctor to come see you he might need a translator I’m asking you if you need to see the doct oh no never mind fakeri is no there’s not a maybe it’s yes or no he still has time fakir is being asked if he needs to see a doctor and he said that he does I I think he was trying to communicate that he he didn’t know if the doctor coming in would stop the fight yeah and I think those are questions you’re not allowed to ask for whatever reason yeah it’s a very strict yes or no situation I mean there there’s nothing a doctor can do here this this is purely the reason this is this is the only foul where the fighter gets to Avail himself of the 5 minutes because there’s nothing a doctor can do here there really isn’t I mean I I wouldn’t know I’m not a doctor maybe there’s some kind of smelling Sals he can give him or exercise he can do they get and he’s indicated to the doctor that he can’t continue the doctor has recommended the fight be called I mean both of these Fighters were pretty winded and I don’t know I the the fights that I’ve seen that are stopped from a low blow have been really really bad um there was I forget his name but the kickboxer um really famous Dennis um something he Daniel Ratcliffe wait no not Daniel rff that was har poter yeah Daniel um something he hit a spinning back fist or a spinning back kick on the guy to the groin maybe three times in a row and that I think I think I know the fight to but this was a little this was not that this was not that I think there might have been a lot of fatigue there um a real shame for both these guys you know Chris Owen looked like he was getting a second win and viiri we talked about the frustrations of him you know not not getting his fight last time and and almost not getting it this time so real shame for it to end like this uh I assume now we would go to a no contest uh you would assume the referee would deem that an accidental low blow and we haven’t completed enough rounds for it to be a technical decision so my instinct is that we get a no contest here uh which is a real shame yeah it’d be unfortunate if it ended up being a DQ win for fakiri because it was a really evenly matched fight and it was obviously an accident when it happened well here’s some of the action from that first contest and that that was that obam right that seemed to just put him on Jelly legs here nice take down from Chris Owen didn’t really do a whole lot of damage to score with it but a nice take down nonetheless both guys Landing in that exchange some good shots there from fakiri and this is the low blow I mean the way he’s breathing there you you can tell that it definitely did some damage it definitely affected the way that he was feeling at that moment you don’t know what’s going on in a Fighter’s body and their head like I and I especially don’t know because I don’t have the equipment but um sometimes you just have to listen to your body listen to your mind and throw the when something like that happens well look fair play to Chris Owen for stepping up at the 11th hour here tonight I’m sure that’s not how he wanted this one to end I’m sure that’s how Elias pakiri didn’t want this to end either yeah that was a weird one just crossing the tees and dotting the eyes here at cagide and we will be with you any moment with the official decision and here is C Ean with that decision ladies and gentlemen ilas viiri is unable to continue due to an illegal click declaring this a second round no contest as expected there a no contest an unintentional low blow of course if the referee de that an intentional foul it would have been a disqualification and now for curry and Owen in the cage exchanging words clearly a bit of frustration [Music] there W so a bit of bad blood there in the closing stages probably more frustration than anything else but look maybe we’ll see these two guys get it on again in the future but for now folks let’s take a look back at what happened at our cage Warriors 173 weigh-ins yesterday some tense face offs let’s take a look the first one that’s going to be weighing FEA completely [Music] disrespectful is at 138 even Maga BV there weighing in yesterday unfortunately coming in two pounds over the contracted weight of course you get the one pound allowance so he could have been 136 and as you see there James settle 135.5 that led of course to the stipulation that was agreed with the athletic Commission that he not weigh any more than 150 on fight day had a weight check at 400 p.m. I believe he came in around the 148 Mark Diego Bigalow there of course making his cage Warriors debut here tonight 145. 7 looking good at the weight as did Xavier Vines back in Action 144.5 Championship weight for Vines [Music] Brandon cillo looking trim at 144.5 he is of course taking on the returning Nomad Damon Wilson again looking shredded 145. 6 for The Nomad two guys who absolutely love a punch [Music] [Music] up definitely weighing outfit of the day there for Javier Garcia 145 point9 for El Mariachi I love it and Roberto Hernandez back in the featherweight division 45.6 or 146 rather bang on for [Music] Greenlight T stare down there for our co-main event and bringing the style Bruno Souza making his cage Warriors debut tonight 1448 for the tiger and he’s taking on Wilson haaste War at 45.5 War they scrap that’s going to be in our main event of the evening tonight cage Warriors W 73 cannot wait okay we’re going to get right back to the action here in San Diego folks it’s Joseph Perez it’s Anthony D Silva and it’s coming up right now ladies and gentlemen continuing on with the action this next bout will consist of three rounds in the lightweight division set to make his way to the cage from okanawa Japan Joseph Perez [Music] well we’re going to get straight back to the action folks lightweights on De next Joseph Perez making his walk through the cage just 22 years of age originally from New York he’s uh told us he’s finding out of okowa Japan here tonight yeah how’d that happen I’m not sure apparently he lives about an hour up the road but oh he can have it if he wants it I believe he has actually fought out in Japan so assumably he’s he’s done some training out there representing Team Quest here tonight but he’s got Joe Stevenson in his Corner War to0 thus far as a professional got a 41 second knockout December of last year that was in Japan so making a debut on home soil here tonight of course his first appearance in the famous yellow gloves of cage Warriors yeah trying to find anything on this guy online he’s kind of a ghost he’s I feel like he plays a bit of Mind Games I’m not sure I’m just pulling this out of thin air but you can’t really find much on him you can’t find his fights you don’t know what team he’s on he’s not on Instagram he wasn’t tagged on the cage Warriors page so I’m real excited to see what he’s going to bring to the table I mean I’ve only been on Instagram for about year so I can forgive him you still get tagged in things I’m a Twitter guy I just turned for you as well so maybe I should stick to Facebook with all the other Boomers man I didn’t check Twitter maybe that’s where he is oh nice spit on the canvas and his opponent set to make his way to the cage out of the Red Corner Anthony day Silva [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Anthony the Silva again making his cage War his debut here tonight one and0 as a professional second fight of the year he did fight in January got a quick sub 9 second submission against Byron shell earlier this year so already got some action in PR that did have another Pro fight but that was ruled in eligible for his Pro record that was an 8sec knockout did have a somewhat decent amateur career as well ending that five and one last amateur fight was in February of 2002 though so a bit of inactivity there for the 25y old but look he’s a young guy undefeated as a pro and looking to make a Mark here L cage Warriors this for me very even matchup between two young hungry guys looking to make a statement yeah they both had kind of those uh entry fights into their pro career um the one that was flagged it’s on one of those shows that we call in San Diego the chicken Co shows where it’s out in a reservation and you never really know what you’re getting sometimes you get a good matchup sometimes you get a bus driver but it’s good to get your feet wet and those shows have started to get flaged but this guy has beaten legit competition um Fernando Medina he’s a he is brother of Manuel Medina and he was top top amateur when he was able to beat him and submit him so I’m expecting uh Anthony Dela to really come out here and show us a lot of skills with this fight yeah me too and here’s Kazan then to get this one on the way ladies and gentlemen we are set once again three rounds in the lightweight division introducing first fighting out of the blue corner at 5′ 10 in tall this mix martial artist weighed in at 155.5 lbs he holds an undefeated record with one win he hails from okanawa Japan introducing Joseph [Applause] pz and his opponent across the cage out of the Red Corner he is a mixed martial artist standing 5′ 10 in tall weighing in at 155.0 lbs he also holds a perfect record with one Victory from Riverside California ladies and gentlemen Anthony The Matrix day Silva referee in charge of the action Mike belron one of the best in the business Mr Mike Beltran about to get this one under way three five minute rounds if they need them in the cage Warriors lightweight division Joseph Perez in the white and blue Anthony D Silva in the solid red trunks belon need to watch out fight better fight’s go the Silva pulled out his samurai sword so he might slice one of those beards off I’m pretty sure it’s against the Reales to have a some ohz South you were right very evenly matched so far play a nice left hand against the cage good job from Perez keep his back off the fence there shaping up to be a fun one yeah I think the Sila read that dip that Perez did just there and thought about throwing a knee I think next time that happens if he dips again we’re going to see it that kick is so [Music] [Applause] fast that’s one thing that the silvas had issues with in the past and his am careers he gets warned when people throw big hooks at him try to back him up try to crowd him he likes having his space until he doesn’t want it anymore but Perez can keep using those hooks to push him back nice 32 by Perez right back at it wow him him again the KN his M he up but he’s on a hill hook now he’s free ooh big elbows from the Silva the Silva not looking to waste any time here pring’s back with it he’s holding he’s being safe that Hill seemed to be deep but he was able to the silver was able to punch himself out of it now it looks like he’s set up ahead and arm choke definitely use that shoulder pressure to pass that leg and looks like he’s doing it see if he chooses Mount or goes toide control for damage the only scary thing about Mount is that there’s a lot of movement here there’s more chance for them to get out but great job by the Silva riding oh nearly got out from underneath the Sila there to Josie Perez a valiant effort and he’s still trying oh man this guy is scrambling look at that good job by Perez beautiful stop from the crowd here applauding and he’s just indicated the M Bel TR that he doesn’t have his mouthpiece he needs to wor about’s going to wait for the action but he goes down and it’s over unbelievable that was crazy man you got to feel bit for Perez though he was really focused on that mouthpiece and then right as he turned back to face the Sila he got punched in the face yeah I mean not to be unsympathetic but the last instruction you get protect yourself at all times the referee will deal with that mouthpiece when he has a second but yeah I I think Perez will feel a little grieved with that situation when he watches this one back but what a peach of a right hand from the Silva he’s going to be very happy with that performance it was a piston man it came straight down the pipe there was no curve to it it went right into the mouth I feel like if anything him signaling for his mouthpiece gave him that c to just go for it there was Perez backing the silver up lands a beautiful left hand there yeah you see uh the Silva was kind of moving his head with it but that big right hand over the top man it really landed right on the chin dropped Perez he was grabbing on the single leg but Mike belan there he must have seen something to make him jump in there and stop it right there yeah his eyes looked to be a little bit glazed over so the referee of has a better angle on that than we do very happy Anthony the Sila here hasn’t stopped dancing I mean you have to be this is his this is a big one this is probably the biggest one of his career he comes in here against a relatively unknown who’s a power Striker it’s kind of his uh his um his Achilles Hill when you have someone who’s going to press you who’s going to fight and you don’t really know what their style is so you can’t prepare too hard against them he just had to come in here and be himself and that’s what he did in this fight those kicks were fast the hands were sharp and he was able to get the job done well nobody can doubt Anthony the Silva now here to make it official as Mr C eager ladies and gentlemen the end comes at 2 minutes 43 seconds of the very first round for your winner by knockout Anthony The Matrix de Silva Anthony D Silva for taking Joseph perezz into the Matrix with that right hand and it came some after the Bell words between our two combatants [Music] here Anthony Silva now two and0 as a professional on quite a lengthy unbeaten run dating back to 2021 now cage Warriors will be back in San Diego at the end of the year and i’ very much look forward to seeing Anthony D Silva as part of that fight card we’re going to take a quick look at our main card now that’s coming up top of the hour on UFC Fight Pass and of course our International broadcast partners and what a way to kick off The Fight Pass main card James SLE taking on magamed B now we we talked about this a bit earlier on Angela magamed not making weight yesterday came in at 138 for a bantom weight contest so 2 over is is that a huge amount of weight to be over is that the kind of weight where you’re going to want to tell a fighter don’t take it your guys miss weight I think two lbs can sometimes be the difference between being in that weight class and not being in that weight class when it comes to rehydrating the team was smart it’s my team but they were smart they put a cap on the weight that you could be the morning of the fight and that way it still feels fair you’re not having someone who’s rehydrating to about 20 or 15 or 20 lounds heavier than you and if anything the California’s uh State athletic commission they’re not playing around when it comes to the weight classes yeah absolutely and the weight cutting as well I mean you know we know here from previous cage Warriors events we’ve had situations where guys have not looked good on the scale or or they’ve not looked rehydrated enough the next day and those fights have been withdrawn so great to see California and the on your state atletic commission leading the way here and look as you say Andre it’s a smart move we know they do have coming in uh with that Russian wrestling background coming out of gry CH those guys are wrestling from like 2 years old they’re used to cutting huge amounts of weight putting huge amounts of weight back on so you know giving away two pounds against one guy might be something but against some Russian wrestling machine it’s it’s a whole different story so very interested to see how this one plays out does James settle now come into this one thinking I’m going to take this guy into the second and third round and see what that gas Tank’s saying after that weight Miss yesterday I think he’s going to want to put it on him fast I mean james’ fights in the past the ones where he didn’t really perform as well as he could have is when he didn’t start right away and then you see him start to take the fight away into the into the second into the third you’re like man I feel like this fight could have gone differently if it was five rounds or if he had just gotten started a little faster so I think if anything he’s going to try to get started faster in his last couple of wins he was able to do that so this is going to be a big test for magamed who is not used to the caliber fighter that James is this is a step up and skill step up and experience like you were saying earlier and we’re going to see how good that Regional scene that he was brought up on was and if he can translate those skills against a better opponent yeah of course first time fighting out of that Russian region as well so you know it’s obviously he’s been over here to train but making that Journey fighting it’s a whole different kettle of fish uh that’s a very old English wow a whole different Kettle F every day is a school day ladies and gentlemen but look you know it’s it’s entirely different situation for him whether he’s going to perform under the big lights what we’ll have to wait and see and that’s the beauty of this one Xavier Vines taking on Diego Bigalow we’re looking forward to that one that kicks off a four fight featherweight showcase on our main card Damon The Nomad Wilson taking up Brandon cillo I’m really looking forward to this one Roberto Hernandez returns after after that bantamweight title shot he’s back at 145 he’s undefeated at 145 in cage Warriors and he’s taking on the debuting Javier Garcia el marachi looking very very confident all fight week and of course what a main event we’ve got uh two Brazilians based here uh in California both based in California I believe Wilson haaste the MMA Legend taking on the prodig of karate Legend leot MAA Bruno the tiger Susa all that to come on our main card at the top of for the hour folks but something else that’s kicking off round about now is the brand new season of The Ultimate Fighter and there’s a bunch of cage Warriors alumni on this season let’s take a look what’s coming up the toughest competition in sports is back with the most International group of Warriors ever 16 mixed martial artists from 14 countries face off I don’t care how light it is you are fighting each other for wood for a shot at UFC glory and women’s flyweight Champion Alexa Gro and former Champion Valentina shevchenko guiding them on their Quest it’s the new season of The Ultimate Fighter coming June 4th unbelievable on ESPN and ESPN plus well there we go folks team Grasso versus Team chevchenko The Ultimate Fighter you were on the ultimate fighter a long time ago what’s that whole experience like for these guys cuz you know we got a I said we got a bunch of cage Warriors veterans on there uh Nathan Fletcher uh omran chaban py mucuri um the the for page Warriors Welterweight Champion Janis B gave up his title for an opportunity to go on that show it’s a life-changing opportunity for these guys yeah it’s it’s probably the best and worst experience of my life all wrapped up in one it sucks because only one person can win it um but at the same time you learn so much when you’re there whether you win or lose you’re there you’re training with a lot of people who are just there focused on you focus on getting you better um you’re seeing that level a lot of people who get on tough they’re not really at that level where they can run their own fight Camp yet and I think once he gets a tough you see what it takes you see what the champion is doing you see what the the coaches are doing how they prepare for their fights because a lot of times they’re training with you to get ready for the fight that they have to do after the show’s over so there’s a lot of things to learn there and you you really feel like a student of the sport when you’re on the show well look cannot wait to see how this season of The Ultimate Fighter unfolds and of course best wishes to all those cage Warriors alumni on there ladies and gentlemen it’s time for our feature prelim and Mr C Eagan will get the fighters to the cage ladies and gentlemen this next bout will consist of three rounds in the heavyweight division first making his way to the cage from Palmdale California chadric Kindle [Music] [Applause] [Music] well making a second walk to the cage Warriors cage big bad Chad Chad rindle 34 years of age and the key stat for this one in my estimation at least tipped the scales yesterday at 227.50 lb he is going to be giving up a considerable amount of weight to Big sha rose has a kick and TI boxing background of course we saw him quite recently here at cage Warriors took on Von Simmons that was back in February at cage Warriors W 66 he gave a pretty good account of himself considering a game he took that fight on very very short notice I believe he was about 12 days or something so he wasn’t really in fight camp but look with his heavyweight guys so often it only takes one and he came so close in that first round he landed a big shot and put Von Simmons down unfortunately wasn’t able to get the finish and Von Simmons came back took the second two rounds I believe but this is a fight that he’s had a lot of time to prepare for he’s got in a bit better shape he said he feels a bit better a bit better cardio wise we’re potentially going to be seeing a whole new chadrick Kindle here tonight for sure you saw what happened with uh Chris Owen he was gassed as soon as he did something good as soon as he got that big takedown I can only imagine with someone who’s giving up 30 lbs a fight it’s going to feel like when they go in there short without the cardio that you need to survive a 15minute fight so kudos for him for taking that fight short notice and now he gets a full preparation and gets to really show what he can do in [Music] there and now set to make his entrance out of the Red Corner sha Rose [Music] [Applause] [Music] Shawn Rose making a third walk to the cage Warriors cage clearly a guy who loves what he does soaking up the atmosphere here at the saquan casino resort I love this guy man he always bring such a positive energy to fight weeks I love his Instagram handle not sha Rose That’s my kind of humor in case you’re one of those people who creep on people’s Instagrams like me don’t worry it’s not me cage Warriors debut back at cage Warriors 59 I mean that one was no contested after his opponent failed the drug test it was doing really well against Diego Vasquez got caught in that armar fortunately last time we saw him at cage Warriors at 166 but he’s back at it here and I think he’s going to get the kind of standup fight that he wants here against Chad Kindle he could take it down he could take it to the ground too if anything we saw in the Simmons fight is that that was where he was able to dominate um dominate Chad chadri uh so that could be a game plan as well I know that he’s been working real hard on his wrestling with coach Phil Davis and he’s been just grinding trying to become a complete fighter he’s never lost that passion for the sport he’s really putting it all in right now and once wants to see how far he can take it someone who started a little late in the game well 29 years of age is a heavyweight you know you you potentially got 10 good years ahead of you so absolutely looking forward to what he can do and as you say learning wrestling from a guy like Phil Davis you could do a lot worse than that right so let’s get this one underway Mr K Ean is going to introduce the fighters ladies and gentlemen we are set once again three rounds in the heavyweight division introducing first out of the blue corner with a background in kickboxing he stands 6’1 in tall officially weighing in at 227.000 lb in his third professional fight he looks for victory number one and he hails from Palmdale California presenting chadric Kindle and his opponent across the cage out of the Red Corner this mixed martial artist stands 6′ 4 in tall officially weighing in at 2651 lb holding a professional record of one Victory two defeats representing Spring Valley California here is Shan Rose the referee in charge of the action Raphael Davis Raphael Davis about to get this one underway three five- minute rounds if they need them in the cage Warriors heavyweight division Shawn Rose in the blue and red here we go first round fight chadrick kindall in the red and black [Music] indeed we know kindall has some power o big leg kick that’s where that big size weight power Advantage comes in just Cho the legs out from underneath him Sean can settle on top of Kindle and get to a good position where he doesn’t have to worry about him pushing away with his knees but it looks like he doesn’t need to looks like he’s able to rain down punches and keep kindall stuck here for a while holding and hitting here is Shawn Rose If Shawn drops some elbows he could possibly stop this fight right here no coaching oh another big shot there Sean needs to be careful that Kendall is trying to push off of that fence but it looks like he’s being nice and heavy and that’s the thing when you have someone who’s 30 lbs heavier than you that kick off of the fence doesn’t work as effectively as it would when you’re fighting someone your size yeah the referee’s taking a close look at this one here he’s not going to let Kindle continue to take this kind of punishment he’s going to want to see him look to improve that position kindall doing what he can here but not a whole lot you can do with a cut of this size on top of you hammering away I mean he can get set his hips back try to start using the fence to get up but I don’t want to say that too loud I love those knees to the body on the ground really underutilized weapon I feel when it comes to the ground and pound that’s the beauty when you come in with a kickboxing or Muay Tha background and then you learn that you can need people on the ground too is always feels extra special kall still trying to move he’s been warned multiple times here by Raphael Davis to improve that position and protect himself yeah I think he’s going to hop in there if Sean keeps reing punches the referee has seen enough this one is over and Shawn Rose gets that long sort after first victory in the famous yellow gloves of cage Warriors good for him that was a great job of seeing that leg kick he was able to kick him off of his feet he was able to do the same thing to Diego Vasquez so you know he has some power in his leg kicks he saw that off balance kicked him off of his feet jumped on top and was able to get the Finish great job by sham [Music] Rose I don’t want to do in Dean’s job for him but sha Rose versus B Simmons maybe sha Rose versus Bon Simmons maybe ooh I’d love that it would be rival gems too well I guess not Rivals we like each other but that would be a great fight I think sizewise too it would be a great fight you heard us Ian we’re going to take a look at some of the action from This heavyweight bout this is going to be the big head kick early just caught him on the basing leg there took the center of gravity out from underneath him and oneway traffic here yeah he did a great job of not letting Kindle uh get back to a position where he could scramble use the fence to get up he was pretty stuck here and we’ve seen him get up before so you know Sean’s been working on that wrestling we’ve seen it in his losses as well his wrestling is getting better and better every time he comes in and this time he was able to use it to finished the fight great job by Shan Rose yeah you the interesting thing to me as well was the composure that he showed because you know you you get that knockdown you’re looking for that first big win we’ve seen guys go crazy make a silly mistake he didn’t do that he was very very composed he got that top position he did the job clinically he gets the TKO and here’s C Eagan to make it official ladies and gentlemen the end comes at 2 minutes 4 seconds of the very first round for your winner by TKO Sean Rose a very happy Shawn Rose here at cage Warriors one 73 gets his second professional Victory two and two now and with the momentum on his side as we say cage Warriors back in San Diego later this year would love to see sha Rose back on the card doing what he clearly loves to do and hey maybe we get kindall fight a light heavyweight yeah absolutely I mean look 227 on the scales looks like he could he could definitely uh lose a bit of that weight so yeah chadrick Kindle 205 that’d be a very interesting Prospect you know he’s got a long uh martial arts background kick boxing tie boxing I think he’s definitely got a lot to offer and Shawn Rose exiting the cage and the arena here to a big round of applause from his fans but folks we got so much more good stuff coming up let’s take a look Saturday June 8th top 10 middleweight square off in the UFC Octagon former title Challenger Jared The Killa gorilla caner returns for a five round Main Event against searching French finisher Nasher Genie maava plus 19-year-old sensation Raul Rosas Jr meets tough 29 winner Ricky Tios live from KFC Yum Center in Louisville on ESPN and streaming on ESPN plus we are’t the fight business fighting is in our DNA we get it and we like it the UFC never stops because Dana White
