Christian uh heck of a round today that was a difficult day in that wind just uh how special was that round for you to shoot 67 today yeah I mean it obviously started off well with the 40 food on the first do um but I knew it was it was going to be tough today so I just say to myself just uh just trying to keep it simple just try to eat the greens give yourself pot some uh the greens get mfield is soia like if you if read it well and started started well you don’t make a lot of butt so and that’s what I did today um obviously all out from off the green as well on number six which is a bonus I mean um normally if you shoot a special round like that uh things things as you as you go your way in the round and and he did and yeah I’m happy with the round three now that you finished early and the rest of the field are still going to have to deal with these conditions which look like they’re gonna the wind’s going to get a little stronger in the afternoon how do you feel about your position right now where do you think you’ll be at the end of the day yeah I mean I I’d hope inside the the top 10 at least I mean like you say the wind is going to pick up a little bit more and it already blew blew quite a bit so um yeah I just think if you if can take advantage of the down downwind hole where you can push the ball up there um softer greens as well uh then you can then you can make a score and then then just um keep keep grinding with those holes into the wind would you say this is one of the better putting rounds of your career 100% yeah I mean like I said earlier uh I haven’t had a had a had a buting round like this for a while like yesterday was my best put round at all like I think I’ve oh I I lost like two and a half Strokes on the field butting yes sir so it was it was it’s nice to see see the ball go go in for Change and and yeah and post a low number Christian um how do you kind of describe the challenge of playing with the wind because it’s obviously not a steady win it goes up and down how do you kind of when you’re setting up for a shot account for the wind at that moment is it a bit of a guessing game yeah I mean there there’s defin definitely certain shots as soon as you heit it the the wind just dies down and it flies 10 yards further but I mean that’s going to happen to everybody he must accept it you must just try execute every shot as well as you can and have the best outcome I mean some some that’s what happen happened to me on 12 and where I flew the green about 15 yards you know so I just it is what it is and just accept it um there are going to be Bogies and double bogies made today with this wind and and now this course is playing so um yeah it was just accept it and and move on I think yeah compared to like heat and rain and cold is when the toughest to deal with because it is so variable yeah 100% I much rather play 110 degrees and humidity than a three Club wi uh especially in on mirfield I mean it’s a it’s already a difficult course without wind you know so so just it it just made it harder for us yeah are you looking forward to watching them kind of suffer with it and you can sit yeah I’m going to definitely set on my couch at home now and and watch the coverage and and uh laugh a little but yeah I mean um there’s two more rounds to go and I I can uh I can just keep my position and and do my best over the weekend thank you Christian the qualifying um for the Olympics is almost completed and you’re in pretty good position obviously uh for South Africa how much are you looking forward to getting to Paris yeah I mean yeah it’s obviously a huge honor representing your country um in any way uh but at the Olympics way to one of the highest levels that we play uh and it only only only happens um every four years uh I actually played it in in Japan as well and it was a unbelievable experience um yeah I’m looking forward to to um to this one as well and hopefully I can I can bring back a medal for how different do you think the experience will be in Paris compared to Japan during Co yeah I mean we didn’t didn’t um have any Spectators and stuff around um uh which was pretty because Japan is is such a great country they love the golf um but Yan Paris uh um it’s going to be great I have played that golf course on the European tour it’s a strong golf course it’s a long golf course um so I’m sure they’re going to put it up set it up well for us so yeah perfect thanks Christian thank you thanks thank you
