The Weighed In team are back to cover all the action on the flat from the last week or so, with the Derby and Oaks trials from Chester, Lingfield and Leopardstown leaving a lot to be discussed.

In addition to that, the panel looked at the International racing scene with the French 1000 and 2000 Guineas staying at home this year.

Looking at some of the news stories from this week Kevin, Brendan and Vanessa discussed the new HRI Equine Care Racecourse Scheme that will come into effect and most noticeably the Racing Post’s Lee Mottershead’s piece on could any amount of money justify relinquishing control of the crown jewels.

  3. it wasnt so much thhat COT was small, more than he hadnt grown lol he was 16 last year. he just looked doped up to me , was frothing at the mouth after 2f 🙂 no way he was heavier.. RIP hidden law and al lthe other wonderful animals we have lost this year

  4. Go back over the last 10 years, and you will hear many rimes Obrian when referring to some hotpot being beaten that he did not train it correctly.
    Now City of Troy, the greatest flat trainer in the world thought he was so good he would only have to turn up 40% to win the guineas.
    Now ask yoursel this if you owned the horse and was given that information after the event would you be happy?.
    Its irrelivent if he wins the derby or not i actually think he will go the Irish derby with half a dozen stablemates win then breeding side, jobs a good un.p
