[Music] [Music] [Music] runer Sports golf show Andy lack Wy boots on the ground today this week there buddy I’m in Canada beep beep so uh I think a lot of people think that um Canada is like the size of Rhode Island um where if you’re in Canada you’re close to this golf course so are you in Ontario well spe I’m I’m far north of it but I am in ontar I’m far north of the gulf course in Hamilton but you’re exactly right you’re exactly right and and it’s a point where I want to bring up later but I’ll bring it up now it’s like everyone believes that all Canadians uh have the same degree of a like from geography wise everyone’s just a Canadian right kind of but it’s like saying you know ky’s going to root for feno because he’s just American no they’ll root for them more geographically closer and whereas it’s different in Canada because there’s not as many guys on tour so they are going to root for Canadians they’re gon to root harder for the guys from Ontario right because there is a western Canada well there’s a everywhere in Canada versus Ontario mentality and that’s largely hockey driven and everyone hates the Leafs and everyone hates Ontario so like if going to have a lean this week in terms of which Canadians do better I would take the Western Canadian guys hadwins Taylor senson pendrith all from western Canada who hate Ontario uh no French guys are well some some guy named I right and duplas but not them well it’s like if you you know asking a Canadian hey are you going you going over to Hamilton this week it’s like no dude I live in Vancouver like 7,000 miles away right it’s like asking me you know me who lives in Los Angeles if I’m going to the golf tournament in Ohio next week it’s like no I’m not I’m not I’m not gonna do that I I live in Los Angeles yeah that you’re exactly right now PE there most of the population of Canada lives in the Golden Horseshoe Blue Collar area of Lake Ontario Toronto uh you know Hamilton area so most of the most of the people in Canada do live in that area so you’re going to get great crowds at a great course and I’m on team Andy this week right so I had to defend the honor of Kentucky blah blah blah content content content okay but my criticisms of like the green complexes of Valla have nothing to do with like the people of Kentucky [ __ ] off it’s a great content let’s if you would if you would have liked the course I would have not liked the course instead of hat I I I know I know behind the curtain uh oh man hwit I I have absolutely been roasting for two three days up here it’s been beautiful today’s a little worse watch look I’ll even turn the camera look at that oh that’s beautiful man is that nice look at that yeah Wonder cannot reveal location um actually you know what here what’s funny right over there that little island across is a fan of the show and he’s caddying for Charlie Hoffman on Wednesday long time follower on Twitter I don’t want to give his name up because you’ll you’ll know him but he literally lives there he goes I saw you on the dock the other day so yeah he’s catting for Hoffman on Wednesday at the practice round that looks beautiful where you’re at you’re at like 18 flexes already just from yeah yeah yeah yeah design of the house that you’re at so I got some catching up to do yeah in terms in terms of the flex count you’re off to an early lead so have you been around to because I when I was doing some research on the golf course this week keep talking keep talking okay well I’m incredibly Pro Hamilton uh Kyle brought to you by laot or Molson I’m going to assume that these are Canadian brands that uh of things in Canada that am not privy to whatsoever I I’m lacking big time on my Canadian culture Wy so like okay see there not there you go H right there molson’s yeah Canadian beers there you go I hate beer um the no I uh I uh I I don’t know if you were in the Glenn Abbey area doing uh era doing content but that I’m so glad they changed the rotation to these older courses around the Toronto area yeah right Glen Abby just didn’t do the service that the Canadian open needed one of the oldest tournaments on tour it’s where Arnold Palmer got a start right 1904 it’s the third longest running tournament on the PGA tour behind can you name the top two they’re they’re both they’re both major championships okay um Trump Durell I I have no idea US Open and and Open Championship so Canadian open is the third longest running tournament on the PGA tour outside of the US Open and the Open Championship so it’s been around this is it’s this is the 120th anniversary of the Canadian open so it’s a tourn it’s a tournament with a lot of a lot of Rich history yeah I mean it’s uh and you’re going to get good fans I mean to me it’s becoming a mini Waste Management Phoenix Open yeah you know with they call I think they call it the Penalty Box uh and Canadian fans are Rowdy and they would love when American venues and American Events come here they really eat it up plus you do have some Great Canadian golfers Corey Connors is kind of a Legend um uh mat Hugh he’s a legend around there right does it put a little more pressure on them yeah yeah of course um Nick Taylor won this event right uh so we were on him yeah 80 to one yep and I I think that you know you got guys like senson coming in cheap this week um but I you know I don’t want to get too ahead of it but I think there is I said that in Discord this morning and by the way our Discord is so degenerate there they’re they’re grinding this tournament out early um I forget who it was in the Discord talking about Chandler Phillips I mean we’re going really deep H hu’s in there just absolutely tossing up three-pointers right now h huie on a Monday morning of a golf tournament is like mid90s Randy Johnson right like he is just 97 mph fast malls fast balls low right like Kyle will hit me at times with taxs about like a Thai golfers course fit at lolf National for the Paris Olympics in July like that that’s the kind of guy and it’s completely genuine it’s completely genuine none of it’s a bit but it’s good though it’s good though because you know he was on hland you were on hin too credit to you uh at where was it oh yeah PJ Championship right yeah um you know you kind of need to listen to you guys sometimes because you stick on golfers that that don’t seem even M Big T there’s MC Meer thing that he put in his Core last week on aren’t run pure Sports I’m like what’s Big T talking about the guy was mner was a was a core for for Big T yes yeah he did sheffler someone and then mner I was like mner wasn’t even on my radar last week so shouts to Big T I thought oh he’s calling one in and then this week he’s 6,500 again and right in there Auto top five so and by the the provin to Quebec right there this stuff is so good so the only the the only area of Canada that I’m really familiar with to be honest is I spent some time in Victoria last summer with Kobe absolutely delightful it felt like you were in in kind of an old British town but I imagine that that’s far more West than where you are I I don’t know the geography of Canada at all it’s it’s basically from Kentucky to La yes okay I mean yeah further so you you can’t get any more West in Canada than Victoria yeah yeah that makes sense because it it wasn’t that far for me to get to from Los Angeles um actually I I took a ferry there from Washington uh so I mean just a beautiful place I played some golf with Kobe over there he’s got a wonderful Golf Club Victoria golf club and in that little town of Victoria it’s right on the water um but I I mean I’ve only heard phenomenal things about this golf course as well I think Hamilton rules there’s been some um they made some changes after you know the 2019 tournament what Rory did to that golf course in in 2019 I’m really fascinated to see uh if anyone could could tear it up in a in a similar fashion I have some skepticism uh about that with that being said super wet for you guys right like the golf course is going to be super super wet and receptive super receptive greens right but it’s going to on by Wednesday it’s going to be beautiful and it’s gonna be beautiful through the weekend you’re GNA get amazing weather yeah um the other part of it you know I talked about the Canadian aspect it’s not like all Canadians live in the same geography I mean there’s you know there’s just it’s it’s you and there are rivalries in this country so not it isn’t completely unified in terms of Ontario versus with everyone but the other part is to you know this country used to be a Dominion or what have you of the British Empire right so there is some especially in Ontario where I grew up there is some affinity for British British culture uh the lifestyle the food the queen or the king now will is on all of our currency okay so there is some there is some love and push for some of the some of the cats from UK right Fleetwood for instance performs well here right Fleetwood as a you know long-haired gritty grinder type from the UK will be really popular with the fans Bobby Mack will be another one right I’m just telling this from experience um those two will be pretty popular so what about Rory Rory’s Rory’s won this event three times already since 2014 one American has won and that was DJ uh everyone else has been from overseas or a Canadian so um not saying that Canadians don’t love Americans lot of them don’t uh but there is a big brothers aspect is that Canadians love to beat the USA in at least something right yeah um and so that is that’s another angle this week Canadians would rather not have probably an American win they want to have first theirown can Adan or someone from you know the UK uh that would be my inclination from the fans so I’m not speaking for them but so the other part is what’s the capital of Canada Quebec [ __ ] Andrew Andrew I have a standing I have a standing uh $110,000 wager with every American to name the capital of Canada and I think one person out of I’ve been there for 24 years one person out of 600 has gotten it uh it’s Ottawa Ottawa so I was wrong oh yeah Quebec’s a province it’s not even okay yeah I’m not I’m not I’m not amazing with geography um I’m pretty good with some capitals in the US but but Canada like I said is is a total blind spot for me um outside of the the time that I spent in Victoria did you did you gain anything from last week by the way even on guys not in the field this week like a Scotty is do you think this is Weighing on him now but um no I’m I’m not putting a a tremendous amount of stock into Scotty not being able to to take down Davis Riley last week I think that Scotty was on the uh on you know even Peak tiger um you know Peak tiger won five six seven eight nine times a year one to two majors a year in his absolute Peak the guy didn’t win every single week and if Scotty finishes second some weeks finishes eighth some weeks at the PJ Championship I mean obviously there’s a lot going on with him off the golf course in terms of um you know the charges being dropped and and just being a new father and and all of that stuff I thought that Colonial was a a great Golf Course for him in terms of a a course fet like you want to play Scotty in firm and fast windy conditions um and so I was a little surprised that he didn’t play a little better on Sunday but again Riley played so amazing out of completely that I mean 350 to1 you know I know there are a few guys in the Discord that that were on him I was not one of those people shout out huie again I know played him in DFS he you know hand up Raley was not even on my radar whatsoever last week um but I I mean I think I I will say this as it pertains to like the question of what I’m taking away from Colonial going forward um you know the US opens right around the corner I still think Scotty is is full steam ahead Prime to win win Pinehurst um there’s a lot of that firm and fastness and and bouncy greens um you’re gonna see that at at Pinehurst and I think with all the stuff going on around Scotty you still saw that on a golf course that’s firm and F as and Wendy it’s so easy for him to separate himself from like the average PGA Tour player even if he doesn’t have his best stuff that sure he can essentially sleep walk into a second place finish uh I I think he’s going to be as deadly as ever at Pinehurst uh one of one said why is Wy so red did he fall asleep in the tanning bed again there are two points to this one I am really I get really dark in the summer I get really I do get really dark the problem here is there’s 5,000 I’m Flex I’m out flexing you today so hard like so I have so much catching up to do there’s so much glass here now the sun’s coming out the lighting here is going to get crazy there may be a point where you’re not going to be able to see me but we’re just going to ride through it so that’s it one of one I’m reading the Discord comments right now so um all right you mentioned the differences in in the in the course from when Rory in 2019 to now uh you like the course overall though and you you’ll think it will present a unique challenge so what what do you think that I mean if you look at the past winners at Hamilton recently furick piery Rory right yeah furick and piery pretty good at keeping it in the Fairway but great iron players yeah piery at the time very good iron player so uh are you saying we don’t want to give away your article that’s that’s privy to from Pure Sports members but I’m thinking good iron play this week um of course probably going to be a little softer lengthened a little bit probably going to be that uh for the most part are you looking that as your proximity buckets this week or what yeah uh I I mean it’s the golf course got lengthened by hund that’s cute you have these in the US uh you write your own name on it yeah by the way I’m working on three drinks right now so I’m not GNA be able to get this down and the molon 3 pm it’s bud it’s it’s Bud red times two so um so yeah I mean this golf course got lengthened by 180 yards but I still think even with the distance gains and advances and technology that players have experienced over the last five years even I still think that a lot of the data that we have from 2019 is at least applicable um the thing that I would keep in mind is that Rory’s victory was a bit of a misnomer on how the golf course played for every single other player um Rory took an aggressive strategy off the te that really nobody else in the field was taking in 2019 I mean I went back and watched that final round where where Rory shot 61 to win by seven strokes with a bogie on the final Hole by the way he gained nine Strokes on the field he could have shot a 68 and won the tournament um I mean it was one of the most historic final rounds of the last 20 years so I think Rory shooting 22 under in 2019 again was a little bit of a misnomer on the challenge of the golf course I mean Hamilton in 2019 despite playing 6,800 yards a, yards shorter than Valhalla played way harder than Valla which is a 7600 yard golf course now why is that because it actually has interesting green complexes um and and it it has small tough undulating green complexes and thick rough right um and so let’s we’ll talk about Rory yeah let me write that one down yeah we’ll talk about Rory so you know the the point being Wy is I I think scoring conditions this week are G to be fairly similar to to what we saw in in 2019 which is not a complete birdie Fest right like if Rory won this tournament by 16 at 16 under par instead of by seven strokes I think maybe we’d be looking at this golf course a little bit differently and you scroll down the leaderboard past Rory it’s a lot of um short positional guys it’s web Simpson it’s brat snaker it’s Matt coocher it’s Adam hadwin it’s it’s Sun JM right so I think I screenshot that in the Discord today who were two three and four three four and five in 2019 I said I’m sorry yeah coocher snaker and web Simpson I’m sorry I have to do that but that’s what it was now you got Stoneman priced sneaker you’ve got decently priced uh coocher and web Simpson is there too so yeah yeah tral furic type golfers right who just get the ball on the green yeah so if you look at the correlation of like distance versus accuracy last year it was so heavily skewed for accuracy and Rory was just the major outlier like finding the Fairway was so much more correlated Su with success at Hamilton in 2019 than hitting the ball a long way and so I think people are going to be thrown off thrown off the scent a lot by what Rory did in 2019 thinking this is like a pure bomb and gouge golf course and I I to be fair was it was it the year two that the first line of defense of Liv GF and Jay Monahan was there and Rory wins and that at St George’s okay I thought they might have been a little early yeah Hamilton Hamilton was preco Hamilton was 2019 yeah but but you know In fairness I think the game has changed in terms of like strategy I think there’s going to be more players that are going to take the Rory approach off the tea this year and look to cut a lot of those Corners um I think the thing that I would point out is the Rory approach only worked because Rory was incredibly accurate that week too like Rory ranked sixth in driving accuracy so at the end of the day man I’m looking for I think that this golf course is a pretty good hell yeah Phil awesome Phil good for you man that’s incredible at here so I think the the point being is I think that this golf course is kind of like if Oakdale last year if you remember that Golf Course last year that Nick Taylor won at yeah um a little TPC River Highlands right if you know if Oakdale TPC River Highlands had a baby I think you’d get that kind of similar thicker rough short positional wedges got to get hot with your putter probably 16 to 20 under depending on on wetness yeah and I think the you know going back to Canadians love you know Irishman they love the British they love players from overseas just generally the UK players Scots McIntyre I think that Lowry and Rory and Fleetwood will be I mean Lowry plays well here fleetw finish second not at this course but at the Canadian open to me my first instinct this morning the first thing I put in the Discord and I said I apologize for what I’m about to say is that I think Fleetwood gets his first W here um so yeah I could see it I love this golf course for for Fleet yeah I just I was waiting for someone to put a ww that wasn’t winning uh like salwood but no one no one bit on that um so let’s start there oh let’s talk about Roy for a second because someone brought it up yeah about about the things going on in his personal life right 12.1 $1,700 clear of sah theala sorry $600 clear of siit the goal at 10.5 so Rory in a bit of a tier of his own this week at at 12.1 obviously last time we are at Hamilton he won the tournament by seven strokes the golf course as we mentioned have changed a little bit but how do you feel about Rory this week at 12 point you know you know he was bouncy at Quail Hollow uh he disappointed and I think that was a large part of the frustration is that people expected him to lap the field at Valhalla yeah or at least you know be a major factor on Sunday yeah yeah and I don’t know I don’t know if things are hitting him a little bit right now I’m not but I would be more concerned from a playing standpoint on DFS if his price was 132 they got it wrong with 121 in 5 inv viable 5K golfers right so you can you can there’s a beeping going on right now yeah okay by the way stop by the way my first two days here never let Wy in the kitchen never I saw the Tweet so so you had a little visit from the fire department well first one I was fixing a smoke detector decided to push test out they come it’s mandated and it it takes a long time for a fir TR to get out here and it’s very difficult challenging roads and so he came he came in he’s like nice guy but he’s basically like you’re an idiot day two Dad here Burns Burns some bacon and out they come again crew of six it was embarrassing so I tweeted that day three we’re good but there is a beeping going on so the fire crew may come out again um in terms of Rory I think that like I said I think 121 surprises me for that price uh clearly the best golf from the field field yes going through some things um we didn’t touch on Grayson Murray either and that will I mean I think that’s gonna that is a that’s just a horrendous story for a guy that was turning his life around uh we were starting to really become a fan of him in the Discord yeah and you know listen a lot of people were hard on him maybe me included years ago reg regrettably I know he was going through some stuff but that’s a terrible story um and the last thing that that well one of the LA the biggest you know stories between Grayson and Rory was when Rory told him to play better right when in in the midst of these meetings I want to say it was a Canadian open the that emergency meeting but I I think you’re right but maybe I’m getting my dates wrong so um I don’t know I mean the fans will certainly lift Rory here he won I think he’s worth playing a lot of just like Scotty last week because you can make some good lineups with them so but here’s the thing and I I’ll I’ll throw this to you let me open this uh I got I got dueling MacBooks Flex that’s like 20 flexes right now I know I got like a million things I’ve got to come up with in the next 20 minutes to catch up to you yeah um but I’m thinking like in the high range let’s just say even if you put Cameron young in it even you put Cory Connor’s in it right yeah nine5 and up rely do you see that all those guys are probably one of those guys is probably going to win in fact you could maybe do a Min one rule of having one of those players in the lineup with aor Seth you love them uh Tommy Shane Alex noren love him uh I’m not sure where those ownership will come out with those guys up top but he’s very close cam young and Corey Connors that’s a pretty good group of guys that that kind of fit this course who could win so I don’t know where you start up there yeah um quick quickly on quickly on the on the grace and peace yeah we we we could probably should have addressed it at the top because it’s it’s absolutely tragic and heartbreaking and I think that a bit of a black cloud is gonna be hung over this event you felt it on Sunday at Colonial um you felt it a little bit with the players um and there was just kind of this Aura hanging over the golf tournament so I’m not going to spend too much more time on it because I I spent some time at the beginning of of my podcast uh sharing some some thoughts and and some words on it I’ve been very open about uh my personal struggle with with addiction it’s it’s something that is deeply affected my life I was fortunate enough to get sober at a at a very young age and it was you know the bravest um and best best decision that I ever made in my entire life um and if you are going through something or or struggling with anything whether it be substance abuse or or mental health or or often is the case where where those are intertwined you know like I mentioned reaching out for help isn’t a sign of weakness it’s it’s quite literally the the bravest thing that you can do and and you you you have no idea truly what people are are going through under the surface or or what could be possibly bubbling under the surface and I think when something like this happens it’s a wakeup call to to everyone to just treat the others around us with a lot more simple day-to-day kindness uh especially online and the internet because again the the rude tweet or the rude comment or the comment [ __ ] on somebody that you’re making to somebody across the screen you just have no idea the internal struggle that that person could be going throughout the time so you know there’s been a lot of phenomenal um pieces of tribute to to Grayson Murray over over the past over the past day I’d highly recommend checking out Gary Williams who is another alcoholic as well who’s also been really open about his journey through recovery he wrote to piece um outlining some of his thoughts and and you know I was almost like weeping over my cup a copy this morning it was it was really well written so um that’s you know there’s there’s far better people than you and I um that could talk about this thing at length but I’m glad that that you mentioned yeah you know I think I think part of being growing up and being uh and he did it at an early age and so did you right and I didn’t I didn’t really hit my I need to figure my stuff out until my early 40s really during covid and I can tell you right now that doing that introspection getting work and learning about my past and what what fuels my fire and and what happened and different things like that I won’t get into it on the show but but that saved my life literally saved my life yeah and I’m very comfortable I’m very comfortable with who I am now I’m not perfect obviously um at all I’ve got tremendous amount of flaws but I don’t blame myself for a lot of things and does does it does it mean Andy and you know this does it mean it doesn’t come back and haunt you sometimes no at all of course um and you know Grayson Grayson became someone completely different than the guy the guy we knew previously he was incredibly humbled thoughtful and then you see all these pieces of him trying to help people behind the scenes with without any Fanfare yeah uh I know Patrick Sullivan put a tweet out about how Grayson reach out to him and that’s what I mean that’s what people who are who are you know comfortable in themselves have done the work can do because all they want to do is don’t want anyone else to feel pain either right yeah um that’s what I get the most joy out of in this Discord even even talking to people you know men men have a TR tough time with that stuff they just do they have they have a tough time just breaking down and saying you know I may need help so kudos to you my friend you did it at a young age most guys don’t do it at all or they wait too long so yeah yeah I I appreciate that and and genuinely like if you know if anyone is uh is listening to this and struggling with anything substance of use or mental health related but I I worked in recovery for many years at you know before I did this um and my DMs are always open if you ever want to talk so same here and I’ve done I’ve talked it’s been years I mean most of my stuff is years of because I used to do podcasts on this stuff and I used to tweet I used to say things without saying them and people would hear them and ask me about them because I didn’t want to make it all about that but you know it’s just like listen if you know what I’m saying right now just hit me up so same same stuff um it’s a Brotherhood right I mean and it’s it’s all a shared it’s all a shared experience and I I think that’s like the the main thing thing that uh I can’t emphasize enough is like there’s always going to be somebody however unique you think the struggle or the battle that you’re going through um there’s always somebody that’s going to be able to relate to you far more than you think I mean it’s it’s everybody is in this together and the shared experience that you can find from other people who have gone through their own internal demons as well um there’s a lot more Common Ground there than you would think so anyway it’s it’s it’s good it’s important to address um it is for sure it was absolutely tragic news is like I said I’ve I’ve been in this world for a very long time so I I’ve had many many many friends pass away from this disease and and every single time it is still jarring it is still shocking you would think that there’s a wall that that hardens you up to it after experiencing it so much every single time it it is still a shock so um you know again my heart goes out to anybody that his family his friends of course anybody that knew him far more personally and we’ll do our best to you know proceed with business as usual on the golf content front but you know we all we do it with a heavy heart yep so and devastating for his parents too right I mean yeah as a parent I couldn’t even imagine you couldn’t save your kid uh it’s just it’s got- wrenching um Rory let’s let’s get back to Rory for a second okay so I was gonna ask you um I was gonna ask you in that top tier of this is a terrible segue by the way go to pricing on DraftKings and that [ __ ] beep over there if the fire department someone just knocked at the door and I think it’s fire department day three and I’m not kidding you uh so this will be great content if they come but I think they’re coming I was staying in that top cluster of guys that because you you know admittedly you’re a tagala guy I think you’re a tagala guy I do I I’m a big I like I’m not I’m undecided on this week but I’m in general I’m pretty high on tagala uh someone said in the Discord Cory Connor just withdrew I need to verify that’s true because they’re F oh is that is that true that’s kind of a big deal to be honest with you I don’t I don’t know if it’s true or not um and by the way one of one who says I look like I I just got a close encounter with a blast furnace it’s your settings on your screen I’m not that red um Hamilton gol I’m not seeing I’m not seeing anything um I think it’s a joke I think it’s a joke okay I’m not seeing anything on uh I’m not seeing anything on on Connor’s as a as a wd okay well then let’s go there then so we’ve talked about all the guys up there um you like tagala I think the case can be made for a lot of those guys one of them to probably win in that range I think there’s also if you want to start uh doing mechanics on a lineup and what it looks like one of those guys maybe even a locker Rory and one Canadian has to be in the optimal or the winning lineup don’t you think yeah I I would you take that I I do think so I there there are a lot of Canadians that I like this week um I I’ve already bet one of them I I think that um there will be more than one Canadian uh in in my pool of players probably multiple um I really like Adam hadwin this week uh I think Adam hadwin there a lot of similarities both in terms of skill set and the way that hadwin has played this season uh compared to Nick Taylor uh last year in Canada hadwin is actually playing a little bit better golf than than Taylor was playing coming into his victory but in terms of the ability to spike with the putter the elite wedge play I think that hadwin he finished by the way Wy at at Hamilton in in 2019 um but I think that if you’re giving me if you’re making me go top three top I’ll go top five because there’s five of them I like in terms of top five favorite Canadians this week in terms of DFS plays because I’m not top five Canadians in general like would you rather be pissed off okay I’m gonna do top five Canadians in terms of DFS plays because I’ll do I’ll do it with you because like for example you know I think Cory Conor is more likely to win the tournament than somebody that’s priced in the sevens but the guy priced in the sevens might be a better DFS play than Cy Conor so I’m gonna go one Adam hadwin uh who I think is 80 8500 I go one I’m at you yes okay to our guy Fenson who was a core play for us last week at Colonial and finished top 20 I think he’s 7.3 this week um another another I’m a huge fencing guy I mean any RPS sub knows how much I love senson three I’m gonna go mck Hughes at 82 although I was hoping for him to be in the high sevens but he finished top 20 at Hamilton in 2019 I think you gotta putt at this golf course these are tough tricky greens and and you’re gonna have to you’re gonna have to putt really really well um I like M Hughes he’s probably going to be in the pool um I I guess four would be because I don’t like tayor I don’t like Taylor this week actually I just I don’t like the way that he’s playing um I agree with that I think he’s one of the I think he’s the one of the best putting Canadians yeah uh Hughes can roll it too Hughes can really roll it best Putters in this field absolutely and he’s tough I mean he’s he’s he’s tough um the only difference is is I I would prefer Canadians outside Ontario first which is the hadwins which is the Taylor uh Taylor good Winnipeg kid I think uh hadwin from Alberta senson from BC over Hughes and over Connors but probably Connors and still in the top five yeah the other one is pendrith right at 76 yeah and then there’s one sneaky guy at 6.5 that I want to give a shout to as well okay who’s the shout to what about Ben Silverman at 6.5 I don’t know what regionality he is in in Canada he’s western Canada too yeah what do you think about about Ben Silverman 6 I know Keith likes Ben Silverman yeah I think it’s I think I mean there are some Canadians you there’s some French Canadians well never play a French Canadian ever right um I don’t think you can play Mike Weir but no put put those put those with Silverman hadwin Connor senson Taylor Hughes pendrith and Silverman Min one of those and then do a cap on Max exposure to it based on who you think is the best because I just don’t think one Min one not Max one Min one I just don’t think a Canadian is not this was the President’s Cup which is extremely important to these Canadian players probably more important than most things right now because been playing in Montreal um Taylor’s a lock for the team you think so uh he’s fifth right now right yeah yeah hadwin’s 11th probably in I would say uh Conor’s likely in I think Connor’s maybe eighth but then you get the rest of them right the Hughes the senson the pend P they’re all all around there and hadwin may want to do one more big thing to ensure that he’s in he wins this week obviously he’s in yeah uh I think Taylor’s guaranteed to be in but you know these guys want to play in Canada for the President’s Cup for sure that is a that’s a narrative this week yeah I think any Canadian of the Canadians priced above 7K I think any single one of them that wins this week is automatically securing their bid onto the onto the President’s Cup team I would I would agree with you that so that’s an added narrative angle to take as well I think um just in terms of we’ve been kind of all over the place in terms of talking about pricing so there are a couple guys that I I want to get your opinion on briefly um the the the final thing that I wanted to say on Rory is that I have a weird taste in my mouth with Rory this week like I I don’t feel like I have a good feel on him I I you know I understand whatever the balona stuff is whatever I think we all need to keep in mind that when Rory was the shadow commissioner of the PGA Tour um and going through like the turbulent the most turbulent professional experience of his entire career he statistically played some of the best golf that he’s ever played as his entire career now a turbo ulent as you know anybody as we both know anyone watching the show knows um a a a turbulent experience in your professional life is different than a turbulent experience in your personal life um so I’m not going to necessarily equate those two as being the same but this would not be the first time that there’s noise around Rory off the golf course and he hasn’t compartmentalized and showed up for work yeah and you know having been recently in um you know with the horse tragedy that I had to deal with and just seeing some of the stuff online that was completely untrue from from reputable sources and from from people who should know better and the media just little things that got they got wrong and I thought what am I what when I read something a new story is any of it true I mean what like even the Sheffer stuff I don’t I don’t know you know I have no idea uh unless I was there or unless I heard it directly from the source so even though this stuff with him and the other person has been confirmed 100% by credible people I don’t know I don’t know it’s not my position to say um clearly it just didn’t happen over the last two weeks clearly it just didn’t happen at Quail after Quail Hollow on a Monday and he got a divorce so clearly it wasn’t bothering him then actually whatever was happening gave him some sort of relief so yeah no completely agree um I think our only job here is is not to speculate and not to speculate even Murray I said in the Discord don’t like that over price you can’t do it right if you like your Canadians if you like your top tier Canadians in the mid eights and then you like one or two of the studs maybe non Rory or Rory you can’t do it you can’t I you know so that’s where I am um okay let me work uh a little bit farther down um work it down so did we give an official stance on pendrith at 7.6 yet I think he’s in the Canadian wi poool of seven players I think we had it at seven including um Ben Silverman I think pendrith pendri would be sixth to me in that so if I did A Min one Canadian I’d probably cap him at if I did a One Max 150 lineups I probably wouldn’t want him in more than 15 lineups so 10% yeah whereas a whereas a hadwin I’d be comfortable going 20% probably too high for pendrith even right one in five lineups with a hadwin um that seems high too but yeah talk to me about the guys that finished well at Colonial or misprice M Meer yes we like him cudy Buckley lipsky I think is a great price bad price you have a favorite in the sixes and fives I’m gonna have to ride with my guy Big T and Meer I think that um I think that you know he’s been playing really well well as forms really good he played well last week and now you get him at 65 I don’t know if his ownership will be huge um that’s one of them I’m gonna have to take a the other one is a long-term relationship I’ve had with this guy is Ryan Moore oh so Ryan Moore was in a high leverage Ryan Moore was in a a DraftKings lineup for me that had a was in really good position on on Sunday morning and Ryan morot 81 at Colonial on Sund that good is that good and H I beat him by eight Strokes uh when I played golf yesterday um so that was not good I I got listen man I’m way behind it’s 20 to2 right now I got I gotta get some of them in gold right here but anybody watching at this point on Memorial Day absolutely deserves it I think this is the week that Eric Cole reann ances himself as a relevant player I think we’re gonna start to
