for e for good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to this presentation of the 2024 5A boys state soccer tournament in Hot Springs Arkansas I’m Max story alongside my partner Canon Goss where we are live from lak side Stadium where 12 of the state softare tournament games over the next two days will be live streamed right here on Lakeside TV this match up today which will be begin in a few short minutes is between the number one SE Lakeside Ram against the number two seed palassi Academy Bruins we are glad to be in the booth for the second round of the 5A state playoffs hosted by the a win over the green Greenwood Bulldogs in the first round and palaski Academy they had a win of their winner the rone in the first round as well yeah yesterday they defeated Beville 41 so we’ll have to keep our eyes on that because it’s going to be a really good match up today Canon yeah I agree B side’s been hot Conference champions and uh excited to see how this one shakes out yeah PA their only loss on the year is to lck Christian so uh they’ve been pretty hot as of late on a about 10 game winning streak so re wins are hot Rams are hot but someone’s got to go cold today it’s winter go home and we’re going to have a good one today folks see Lakeside coach Petty giving a little bit of a pregame speech here to his boys Petty a second-year head coach he’s been an assistant coach for the ram for years upon years a lot of experience there Lakeside Alum mhm Alum as well coach MO is in the building former head coach now solum Springs head coach I love coach Mo that’s a great guy great guy great upstanding man mhm back to coach pedigree uh he was part of a state championship team wasn’t he he was he was that was the 2016 I believe team trying to lead his team to do the same they don’t have a bad shot at it you know they’re coming off a conference Championship the big team here to watch though is Russellville here in the tournament um I’ve heard Russellville is one of the better teams here and has a great shot to win it so they got to step their game up big time and uh got to get through PA first though true very true PA I mean you don’t want to count them out they have uh we’re on a really hot streak right now but both teams are so it’s any man’s game today whoever comes out be fierce and efficient will most likely come out on top yep link side fixing bust out downfield early on that is number 24 Alexis OA right there there you Canon Bruins pushing the ball up field there is robertt blo near a goal would have been a big mistake early on for Lakeside he came out a little early on that one and uh definitely some luck on his side there that would have been a bad way to [Music] [Applause] [Music] start see Luke V Scaris with the free kick Junior [Music] Lakeside the sc’s going to kick it down field headed by bruan very physical early on about a a bunch of body blows from both teams there’s number two for PA he’s trying to get ball up we have a replay of that near goal earlier you see the breu and Winger trying to get it up Robert just hit it off him that could have been really bad L side was able to recover we go back ball Midfield Salvage a play called by The Ref the Lions is down going to be a free kick here for the [Applause] Rams scis with a free kick good kick from Mardis towards the goal but it’s caught by the [Applause] goalkeeper good awareness by that keeper down there high kick by the goalie headed by Nelson theard is going to try and kick it to Denver Davidson the Junior he is quite the Speedster I will say that on the track team uh defin track football soccer not a lot he cannot do three sport athlete PA going to try and find someone way down the field he’s able to recover it pushing towards the goal blocked by [Music] bloo that’s number nine Joshua Montgomery at Winger using his speed to get down there and Denver Davidson’s going be called for a foul looks like Denver just got a bit too physical right [Music] there number seven about to kick this one off believe that is KJ colon headed by Corona for Lakeside Lions have his Denver Davidson going to try and get to the middle of field good defense by PA throw in for the Bruins going to still end up right about Midfield ball staying mostly in the air this game but Corona’s able to recover it Diego rblo down the field pass it right to bruan cadell Pennington is out there with some solid defense so far cadell had a goal last game against uh Greenwood he did that was a very solid goal to help lak side get the edge the second goal of the game mhm Ball’s going to roll out of bounds l v going to get throw in Alex P going to toss it in recovered by PA and here’s another throw on for peo oh no they’re going to give it to viscis Lin’s battling for the ball But find Denver but it’s gonna go right out of bounds Denver trying to recover it end up being a free kick don’t have the goalie on our roster because he does not have a number but kicking his number seven Walker Goodwin Goodwin boots it downfield return by Edgar robetto robetto again going to try and find Diego Corona Corona’s going to hit it it’s going to be right out of bounds thr in number four Andrew fizer fer trying to find someone open going to just toss it down to the right side be out of bounds on PA number 18 Shamir hakee with a good little kick across the field oh Davidson takes the fall another be a free kick here for Lakeside Luke viscar is taking it again yeah I guess uh you vard’s going to be the main free kicking guy for lak side today deep kick by vardis down to Alexis and whatnot lons is going to dribble it down to his buddy Corona good kick by Vons headed by the PA Defender that Ball’s going to go high into the stands lines to inbound again solid student section here for the Rams starting to fill up yeah I’m sure bun of these guys uh might be missing a little bit of school but I’m sure that’s why they’re there yep battle for the ball and Pa’s possession mger going to try and push it up field he’ll end up getting it some nasty moves by [Applause] him back and forth early on no one’s able to really take a grip or lead Diego Corona the senior foure Letterman for Lakeside going to toss it in to Pennington but there’s going to run it on back to roblo Montgomery out there with some good defense from the Winger position [Music] hakee pushing it up field but the defense is going to recover it AOA is going to try and find Denver Davidson off his head but recovered by the goalie goalie G to drop kick this one land right at Midfield really high AOA and number four Andrew fiser going at it on the wing RTO going to try and find the the back he’s going to get the call it’s going to be a free kick for the Rams yeah a bunch of calls early on B’s doing a good job drawing those no goals yet though just under 10 minutes into this ball game I’m right about the 42 yard linear’s going to try and find someone possibly knock it in might put it in himself to sub number 32 he’s a junior his father is uh alumni Lakeside and played in the NFL there’s Sam right there trying to chase down a ball but Pennington’s going to try and grab it with a deep shot what a [Applause] goal believe that was number eight Nico Duna Dina great shot from Nico there great placement bledo just just couldn’t get to it top right of the corner and Nico just knew where to put it going to give PA a one nothing lead going to be a quick substitution here bringing out Vines and Pennington looks like coach pedigree is going to be talking to Pennington Pennington a part of the defense there maybe you know giving him some tips on how to not allow a goal next time maybe he’s saw problems in the defense there that was a great shot by Nico we have a rockstar Replay for you because he did not have one really he was very thankful you got to keep the phone Juiced up yes you Juiced up and locked in probably playing music through his airpods trying to get ready ready for the game attempting to lock in and Lakeside needs to lock in now down one to zero against the PA Bruins plenty of time left uh 20 minutes left in this half Vine looks to uh smack hands say hey come on boys let’s get [Music] going so a better start for for PA with that goal early on Lakeside really needing to rebound you don’t want to get too far gone or they may be lost in the dust of the bru the Lakeside men can take over that are currently on the team now or possibly in the past I know Isaac Carroll has a love for the game and love for coaching Isaac Carroll at Unk status for sure oh at the U OFA I believe we’ve all reached status I myself I’m 17 years old but feel like I’m 47 do you I do is that what football did to you or is that no more football no more Sports I mean just it’s the 9 to5 Li for me got my welding degree and just going to go to the workforce I suppose really yes no cap I guess I’ll just spend most of my days working at the country club and you know probably just of just chips away at the Players endurance you know when they have to go back and forth and back and fourth and you get down on yourself not being able to score but you know right here for the
