Aaron Rodgers worked out with the rest of the New York Jets to start OTAs, and Craig Carton is very excited. He asks if Rodgers is the best offseason QB of all time, whether or not the Jacksonville Jaguars will extend Trevor Lawrence, and if Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice will miss the start of the season.

stre quarterback in the history of football and what I really like is how smooth GDB looks wearing his new number five uh for the New York Jets War 17 last year uh now we wears number five and look just it’s like people don’t understand Sports is Art to me and when you see this in slow motion and you appreciate the physicality of a great alen Rogers and his Man Hands right there on the football and the beauty of Garrett Wilson with Robert Sal in the back watching over things with that caved in chest of his and Garrett coming across underneath we used to call that the seal play two-handed catch uh easy peasy with the rock two hand T he’s like not for me I go to the house if you touched me with two hands I mean that is one of the the greatest things I’ve seen in days Craig uh Sports is Art but it’s also math and we’ve got some stats we got some stats from his day yesterday okay and if you look at what he did yesterday best qub pretty good however but we’ve done with the research doing this right now we no no no we’re doing more than this we’ve extrapolated that out throughout the season based on his average number of attemps in a season and so if you base on yesterday’s practice he’s going to throw 109 touchdowns and zero in interception which I think 86% completion rate it’s going to be 435 for 57 I got to be honest what happened in the 72 passes that weren’t completed throw it away threw it away thre it away what guy wasn’t open yeah so what do you think about 109 touchdowns and zero interceptions if you extrapolate out the math from yesterday that will be his season I like it I like it I like how everyone’s working to make me happy today I like that look what number one what are we doing at least give me a pass that’s down the field yeah well we got tired of showing those cuz that we show those beautiful passes in the bucket look here’s the reality this is why again I told this guys I told this a month ago when we hear the owner of the New York Chets say publicly on multiple occasions all our wide receivers have to do is count to 10 and then turn around and the balls right there that’s why Greg Jennings cuz he doesn’t know that’s not real time they convinced our owner that that’s the speed of a football game so he’s right you got 10 seconds can we see it one more time because one of the big problems with the Jets last year was the offensive line but just watch number 71 watch this line I’ve never seen a a a right tackle block no one better than 71 does right here mean he’s ready he is ready for all comers ready ready by the way that’s the defense’s fault you know send someone on the left side if you don’t yo we’re going to take advantage of that going to take advantage of which is why my only concern of this video is did we forget how to Blitz off the left corner like defensively I’m just concerned defensively why we left the left side of the line uh wide open like that is this a live scrimmage is this midseason practice or what happened what what is this this is called desperation they don’t even have pads on this is called if I may the Nicks lost game seven on Sunday I need something good in my life and everyone’s understand if you’re a little confused by what you’re watching that’s all well they’ve told me to move on 35 times in my ear so we might as well do that second and football Rashid rice is being investigated for a highway traffic accident and an alleged assult of a photographer in a nightclub he will likely be suspended but he is participating in OTAs with the Chiefs this week what do you think of that information Craig and also how much do you think missing him at the start of the season will impact the Chiefs office well it depends how good the kid from Texas is Right Worley who runs the Ford to but Rashid rice was is it worthy or worthy worthy worthy I apologize he’s worthy r a 42 uh you the Chiefs have had a weird offseason they two young young players a couple days ago get busted for marijuana possession they had uh which I don’t think is that big a deal honestly but it did happen uh Rashid rice of course with the traffic accident it’s been a very strange off season for them you have to remember this the NFL is interesting in that even though we all agree he’s going to be suspended at the start of the Season we’re just not sure the amount of the suspension the length of the suspension four games six games eight games cuz will take that very seriously what he’s accused of being involved with which I think he’s owned up to at this point no one’s denying what took place is that you’re allowed to practice with the team at OTAs you’re allowed to practice with the team during the summer training camp you’re even allowed to play in preseason games then it stops so from now until September 5th when the season starts Rashi rice is going to be a part of everything y you’re going to see him on the field and then of course this a will will take effect and that will have an impact because it took them as you know from last year a month 6 weeks whatever it was for Patrick Mahomes to trust him to know that he’s going to catch the ball if I throw him the ball to know that as a rookie wide receiver he’s going to be where he’s supposed to be so I can find him and that trust paid off dividends because he became their go-to receiver outside of Travis Kelce so taking that out of the situation obviously hurts the Kansas City Chiefs yeah it’s going to have an impact simply on schi simply because when you look at the type of a play caller that Andy Reid is he likes matchups he’s we saw him his role grow exponentially as the season went on obviously even even in the postseason and so when you remove a player like that now you have to find out how can we get the same type of plays and variation of the same plays with a different player now depending on how Xavier worthy comes along which we’re hearing that he’s he’s coming along pretty smoothly and uh but isn’t it different like he’s on paper a deep threat rice not that he can’t go deep he was a possession receiver more so so this is where you look at sky Moore and those guys that didn’t have a a great second year Scot Moore and others like they have to step up and feel the void you have Patrick Mahomes so are you worried no you’re not worried or concerned however this gives another opportunity for another guy to step up and show that we have dep at this position now is no longer it’s all opportunity right and uh you know the new kid Worthy’s going to get the opportunity it also changes the entire Dynamic of that offense and Rashid rice does come back and he will come back at some point you know as a football fan I am excited to see the Chiefs it’ll be a new look offense from the standpoint of throwing the ball down the field remember last year in a Super Bowl winning year their offense wasn’t great all year and I think the stat was and please correct me if I’m wrong that Patrick Mahomes only completed a couple passes where the ball traveled more than 20 yards in the air so they were real Dink and dunk type of offense move the chains move the chains move the chains they were not the quick strike offense that they were in Tyreek Hill was there so getting worthy should bring us back to where they were Tyreek there and Hollywood Brown as well yeah so it’ll be interesting he said hopefully it gets done do you expect this to get done by week one I I think he in the same boat as Tua I make the same that conversation we had 10 minutes ago about Tua about Trevor Lawrence you know they obviously uh pick up you know the the fifth year option uh so he’s making a bunch of dough he does have a playoff win two a dozen albe it the big Collapse by the Chargers a couple seasons ago but here’s if I’m GNA answer the question by asking a question if the Jaguars and Miami Dolphins got on the phone where’ either one of them trade quarterbacks it’s a that’s a good question I I think that they would I think the Dolphins would you think the Dolphins would I think the Dolphins would be intrigued by Trevor Lawrence just be when you think about like you mentioned this H uh injury history the types of injury that your quarterback which to be fair to two though it was two years ago now I I understand that but it’s it’s still there like when you start to talk about contract negotiations and we’re talking about paying you this amount of money oh we’re going to bring this up got it okay it’s to not he can do anything about it nothing you can do about it um however I I don’t know if you look at the Jacksonville situation and say oh two would be two because here’s the way I view it Trevor Lawrence regressed last year compared to where we thought it was going to be going into the season because remember two seasons ago they ended the season like seven to one the best team of football and then they win the playoff game last year don’t forget 10 weeks into the season they were the number one seed in the entire FC and then they kind of fell off the map kind of like the eagles did in the NFC and the question mark now is what’s Trevor Lawrence because he became a turnover machine towards the end of last year he did and you you you get him another receiver we see Brian Thomas Jun right there in the draft to replace a guy like Calvin Ridley Christian Kirk is getting healthy you obviously have Evan Ingram like you have weapons around remember they said last year was going to be a 5,000 yard season that was the hope and so there I I believe this one gets done I’m more optimistic of this one getting done even before the Tua situation yeah and by the way Jacksonville has to get it done they just have to from a franchise standpoint like you’ve been the doormats of the league until you got Trevor Lawrence and brought Peterson in uh you better get him done and again I think it’s going to be more like the Jared G deal I think these days of these seven eight-year contracts for ridiculous money I think are going to be reserved for the guys that deserve them you have the top three or four guys in the league and the other guys who are certainly top 10 caliber quarterbacks are going to get the three foure Deals but still you know 50 million bucks a year type of situation so well one of those players that deserves one of the big deal Joe Burl and uh you’ve got an update on Joe burrow and uh his his look here yeah so this is why I love AI it gives ball guys like me the opportunity to dream The Impossible Dream I’ll be honest that is that is a thirst trap right there uh Super Bowl oh all those uh you know homely Bengals women out there like oh yeah give me some Joe burrow oh like I said like I said like I said like I said looks good bald out hair Joe burrow with short hair probably no hair and obviously with long hair is a goodl looking guy wow that wow no yeah wow by the way looks like Charlie Murphy may he rest in peace oh my
