[Laughter] what’ you think of what the Bucks did with a with a great record second best in the East but parting ways with Adrien Griffin at this point I’ve been a fan of the game for a long time played 19 20 years nothing surprises me in the business of basketball last time that happened I think it was with David blat Tyron L take takes over and they win the championship you know 30 and 13 is not bad it’s not great however they will second in the East it’s unfortunate it’s a bit a business of basketball you know a lot of rumors about they didn’t like the scheme they didn’t do this they didn’t do that I wish they would have gave him more time and see how he operates in the playoffs because I remember when Phil Jackson first came on it took us a while to get adjusted you know me and Chuck we always have this argument I say the coaches are there just to be there and players we have to take it upon ourselves and say hey this is what we need to do hey we’re not playing defense we need to get some time top plac some defense But Chuck believes this on the coach but there was rumors that they weren’t getting along and he just got fired it’s an unfortunate situation do I like how they did it this early I didn’t like that however it’s the business of basketball I I felt bad for Adrian because it was his first head coaching job the players got him fired this is 100% on the players you know your coach can’t make you play defense defense is the hardest part of basketball that’s only you and I guarantee you he tried to get them to play better defense like I say I feel bad for Adrian but this is 100% on the players your coach because you know we’ve been we’ve been talking about it for two months they they they’re arguably the worst defensive team in the league they got zero athletic ability on the perimeter other than Yannis they’re they’re they’re slow but your coach can’t make you play defense that’s that’s a personal pride thing I wasn’t a great defender so I’m not going to act like I was a great defender but your coach cannot make you play defense those players got to take some responsibility they got that coach fired and it ain’t right it ain’t wrong Shaq is right that’s part of the business but this is 100% on the players I guarantee you the coach has said something because we’ve been talking about it for two three months you guys are offer defensively if you’re are Doc Rivers what’s job one I mean thank the Lord I got honest I don’t I’m not coaching I’m sitting in at home and I get a call to coach arguably the best player in the NBA uh for the next five years this guy’s going to be still in the conversation for the next five years and then I’m going to have a top 75 player with him uh a team that’s already won a championship without me so uh you know I get on my knees and thank you but I mean when I hear like people talking about the Milwaukee Bucks it seems like they’re talking about the Washington Wizards of the of Detroit Pistons like oh they they’re the worst team at this and they’re not going to do that and second place that’s not that that that that’s not that is something that’s not that’s that something and nothing there there there is there is something to winning games like there is a a formula of winning and and they have a formula of winning could they win it all no like we we we’re not sure that but there’s a you know as a first year coach you bring a person in your expectation is for him to grow and learn things as it comes that’s an expectation that so I I don’t understand what the expectation is it going to be smooth sailing from the beginning and I don’t even think I still think it’s sailing I don’t even think it’s out of control like to me when David BL it happened to Bab black the difference was I thought Tyrone Lou was already on the staff he was he was already on the staff so you had someone was taking over that was already in staff so and apparently Doc Rivers has been Consulting um with the Bucks well he told him to fire him no I don’t know but I for me you know Doc is a great coach we we all know doc can can coach but I I I don’t understand the way people are talking about the Milwaukee Bucks is like we’re talking about what the Pistons what the uh Washington Wizards are doing or what the Memphis Grizzlies are right now these guys are would still possibly could have won it all with Adrian Griffin coaching yeah but they they they they were awful defensively they’re they’re they’re in the bottom five they’re 18 19 defensive if they’re awful why is everybody beating them well cuz they got two of the best players in the world you but you’re not going to outscore the elite teams in the playoffs you got to play some defense okay and the Bucks are like wait a minute you know we’re not good defensively we haven’t gotten better and we have the NBA is really good at def actually had this we actually had this argument about two or three weeks ago when I chea they got a good record but they’re not contenders cuz they’re not good defensively yeah they gonna win a lot of games because they got Giannis and Dame but you have to ask yourself can we beat Indiana no we can’t beat Indiana We Can’t Stop Indiana can we beat the 76ers no we cannot beat the seven Sixers and we damn sure can’t beat the Boston making a coaching change at this point I I I didn’t say that I said I said it this is on the players your coach can only yell so much we got to play defense I guarantee you see I I didn’t like this right here unless you know this is after their wire to wire win over the Cleveland Cavaliers last night well I didn’t like this at all unless they do this every night I don’t watch them every night well I don’t watch them every night but I I hope they I hope I really hope they do that every night because if they did that on the first game that coach got fired it’s a bad look I would love to know if they do that after every game a bad look if you were doing it too huh it’ be a bad look if you were doing it that’s for sure I just can’t picture you doing that I I just again doing that postgame dance oh I can you know don’t make me break out hammer
