the average lifespan of a baseball is seven pitches but we think a baseball can last a lot longer than that so we’re going to try and hit this brand new baseball as many times as we can as hard as we can they try and hit the cover off let’s check it out all right anything different you did no damage okay well it’s going to take a while it’s going to take a while we didn’t actually think this challenge would be done after one swing but we also had no idea how hard this was going to be our first tactic was to take 25 swings each between the five of us trying to hit this baseball as hard as we possibly could so we’re 25 swings in overall though ball looks pretty intact look at the bat a little Mark here along with the ball we’re going to see just how well the king ofo signature bat holds up with all these swings Maybe This Bat will break before the ball does all right TR turn our Focus right now is all about power that was like 250 dead center and we needed Trevor to swing harder than he’s ever swung before 95 I’ll get you a 95 I’ll bet you a dollar you won’t I know this means a lot to you to get this Mighty green oh my God why didn’t you just do that the whole time I just wanted for the dramatic effect the leather’s getting a little rougher on this side you can see some of the Rolling paint that’s probably just from hitting the net right stop choking up bro it’s like 34 big swing 100 four more we need 100 on 100 he’s got it no we are now 100 swings in and it’s definitely getting a lot squishier especially around the seams the bat is still really good along with the bat I wanted to see how my hands would survive this much hitting without using any batting gloves this is what my hands look like now let’s see after all these swings 101 on swing 101 stop that’s bad that’s a great swing while I may lack real speed I more than make up for it with my raw determination you ever hear someone grunt 85 25 swings down and the regret of not wearing gloves was already starting oh no that’s a terrible one that on about the first 25 swings for me you can see here we got a little bit of a blister form in there but uh overall hands feel okay do we need to update cuz Cole did nothing to this ball and now that we’ve all had a chance to hit this baseball we need to make some predictions on how many swings it would take to hit the cover off 8,900 12,000 15,000 7,100 swings 69,000 that’s a little bit High 69 6900 we all hope that air Joo map was off as none of us wanted to be here for 69,000 swings now what we will see over time is that the exit velocity of this ball his 25 swings and we hit 300 oh my God oh my God are you guys not tired no I’m like my hands are breaking up hard too bring back six-pack Eric Sim he had a six-pack that he could push out and even when he pushed it out it still had ABS ma was becoming our most consistent hitter once again knocking the ball out of the cage [ __ ] are you serious how do you do that I don’t know oh that should count you got to put that in there and dominating 69 mph two in a row oh my who am I let’s hear from our favorite Joo hitting coach who knows everything about hitting for power and average you know starting to build up Eric gck through another 25 swings all right switch then Trevor did the same then ma continued to try and break expensive equipment oh my God and then when Trevor and Eric helped Tosh fly through his next set of swings this happened pretty damn quick r [Applause] and just like that our glorious light up te met its unfortunate and unexpected end the ball fell off Tosh swung and destroyed it B bat still great oh no you know what’s funny though we tried to either break the ball or the bat and the first thing we broke was a teeth if this was any other bat we’d be extremely what you’re saying 30.9 mph science science science I’m done Tosh left to continue being the king of dads and the bounc your net was helping us get through the swings faster oh Eric and I took things a step further with a speedy play and ma was determined to knock $330,000 out of the sky not just once oh my God unbelievable Ma put twice oh my God and with another round of swings for me we’d hit 600 ooh a little V there oh my goodness it’s getting a little harder to see where that initial scene we broke was that was our fastest 100 swings by far so we got to keep by far look at this Perfection number 69 is it’s like a Monumental achievement and we have to hit 69 number 690 690 on this is the one no no we have not hit a single mini challenge which was terrible for team morale but we noticed something about the ball that we hadn’t thought about it’s a little warmer like feel this baseball that’s baseball we have feeling feel this one yeah it’s definitely there’s some energy put in this ball definitely heat it up some this ball is definitively harder than this one the ball we’ve been hitting is like this is squishy it’s like almost t-all you won’t S it no Muma we pressed on relentlessly and in no time we hit 800 there it is 69 800 800 31 nice our seams back it’s poking out texture of the leather is very rough I’m starting to get blisters here and here now uh it definitely hurts I give it another 100 swings before these start to open up oh I think if we get closer here by now we’ lost interest in the xavo off the bat we moved the tea closer to the net which would allow us to feed the tea faster which only required one person’s help instead of two this was the first day in our Quest and we had agreed on a daily group goal of a thousand swings what better way to celebrate than by looking this athletic while [Music] yelling Dr honestly after all this effort I felt a little bit disappointed I truly thought we’d have broken some seams or at least split the leather leaving with only one seem just may me question how long this would actually take with a solid rest we were back and ready to go especially Tosh who had to leave early on day one ow and after each of us took a round of 25 swings one more 1,00 we decided it was time to move on to 100 swings each so that we can make our way through this challenge a lot faster still no major changes long physical challenges like this probably test your mental strength more than anything looking great over there bud just waiting to and even though it’s only day two you’ll see that we were already starting to lose our minds 1,300 [ __ ] and it’s not like our swings are going to get stronger still no major updates you can see here after 100 straight swings it’s starting to get really red oh my God 100 check this out I’m not even choking up today sick right St more more harder seems still look about the same but it looks like there might be a little bit of Separation right here I I don’t little morphed on the top here yeah and after hitting his gold 300 swings Tosh really turned up for the team we didn’t see much changes to our baseball not much change my blister has a blister though that’s cool you feel a blister already I already had one on my thumb I ripped it open that blister wouldn’t be the only self-inflicted injury from ra as she loses focus and let the bat swing into her ankle Jesus despite the potentially career any catastrophe ma finished her 100 but we were already starting to break 3400 this portion of the swings has been way more Soul crushing than in the last finally finally had something to show for it this seam is starting to break loose just like the other one did damn maybe this wasn’t as exciting as I thought it would be but the next update was for sure a huge milestone one two almost three seams that are breaking finally I have officially my first broken up blister it’s pretty gnarly took about 200 swings in a row today to finally get to that point oh we got to get that to 3700 it wouldn’t take long before Ma’s hands would look like mine and to make it worse our progress went backwards she now has blisters that are breaking open the seams that we just broke open definitely just got hammered back in but we did have a real sense of accomplishment by putting in this many swings ah 4,000 oh I’d say our hands took the most damage today I’ve got blisters that are starting to open up everywhere we were pretty happy to have Eric’s positive attitude and incredible knowledge of baseball back here again looks like Ma and Cole did a lot of damage here uh ripped the what is it the seam is it seam seams rip the seams apart we got two of them now before we only hit one today could be the day today is definitely not today could be the day would be the lucky person to take the final swing if we get to a point where Eric is potentially going to knock the cover off of it we have to get him out of there and let someone else do it correct I
