Myrtle Beach he’s four under tied for eth so we we’re involved in both I mean you know that we weren’t going to not have somebody over at Myrtle Beach uh so we to have that there uh we have a lot to do today of course we have four playoff games tonight two NBA two NHL we’ll go through what happened last night and we’re going to dive into it a little deeper after you talk to gay but man you must have been losing weight uh with that Nick game last watching that Nick game in their big win over the Pacers going up 20 oh Brunson leaves the game comes back they lose an anobi they still get the win Carl out crying like a baby afterwards Scotty uh that was a lot of fun I gotta tell you I I always felt uh I was talking to my buddy uh when he went down uh my buddy was like it’s over and I said he’ll come back he’ll play in the second half he’s an animal he he’ll play I don’t know what it is I thought it was his uh shot to the heart where he got that shot to the Satchel Page area I thought maybe he had an injury there but it was his foot and then he comes limping out like will Reed on the anniversary of the Reed walk out for the second half in 1970 and then once I saw Clyde out on the floor uh getting accolades I knew it was on and then he still busted off a 29 chip Ragu with a 28 piece OG with a 28 and a halfam sandwich to go with it now he’s down and there’s nothing more lingering and non uh you know in terms of like recovery uh the hamstring never gets better once you uh screw the hammy up you’re done he’s done I will be shocked if he plays in the fieldhouse in Indianapolis I think at some level Mike like I was stressed out watching it as always with the Knicks but there has to come a time when this is going to catch up with them there is no way they can play with Five Guys 48 minutes every night and one of them’s injured already uh frankly they have no bench their bench is awful I’m sorry Burks used to be able to play now he should be playing with me on on Friday and Saturday mornings uh all I know is there’s no way uh that they can keep this up without uh depth and without their uh stretch three I think he’s uh you know he showed last night with that 28 that he’s dangerous he can do it all and he can block shots rebound rip and run and shoot he can hit threes he can do everything and now he’s he’s just gone so uh now precious is in and he’s you know a quarter of what anobi is so I think that um frankly they’re in big trouble in Indianapolis I think they’re going to lose yeah uh look they are uh they’re running out of bodies that’s for sure uh and when you’re playing guys 45 to 48 minutes a night uh eventually it is going to catch up uh we will do a lot of that we have two games tonight game two in Boston Celtics and the Cavaliers a game two in Oklahoma City between the Mavs and the Thunder I’m hoping Scotty we get a little bit more out of Luca tonight uh he didn’t get much uh in game number one I I’d like to see Luca give a little bit more than 19 points uh that was tough watching that the other night yeah I don’t have a problem with it uh to be honest with you um with as much crying as he does uh to the refs like he’s injured uh to me obviously something’s wrong with him he’s not moving at all he’s got the knee problem and I think that that’s catching up with him his uh shooting from outside’s 22% it’s it’s awful he’s not hitting and I think it becomes apparent to me that it’s Kyrie’s job now uh to go off for the Mavericks tonight he has to have 35 points tonight for them to even uh I think have a chance to be honest with you Luca’s not Luca right now there’s something wrong with him and here’s the thing this team they’re playing is the real deal I’m sick and tired of hearing about how young they are what they are is they’re perfectly Young and perfectly paid and none of them have become uh Pradas like Duran and Butler who won everything in the world and never play I’ll give KD credit he plays uh but epic Stanley Cup playoff and it usually is but this has really been a special one so far the NHL is a unique league as we all know in which they have higher seeds playing against each other in the first round right so it’s an unbalanced it’s an unbalanced playoff format it leads to Great matchups in the first round and they had great television ratings uh in the first round but when you get into the second round it means all the teams are good that are left right you you had to be good to get through that first Gauntlet and we’re seeing no lead is safe right now in the National Hockey League playoffs the Vancouver Canucks came back they were down 3-1 to the Nashville Predators with three minutes remaining in Nashville they pulled their goalie they scored two goals and they ended up winning the game at overtime last night they spot the the Oilers a 4-1 lead they were sloppy early they paid the price they come back again it’s a dangerous way to live but at the same point in time the conu players really starting to believe uh in themselves they never tap out it’s funny they talked about how they watched The Real Madrid uh Champions League soccer game as a team and we all know what happened in that game right they scored two goals in the 89th and 91st minute to come back they were trailing uh one nothing I told people Scott that the Canucks were going to beat the Oilers out of 24 ESPN hockey analyst 23 of them uh picked the Oilers to win the series out of 17 NHL uh network analyst 16 of them picked the Oilers certain death like I can’t believe that a team like the cans get his little respect as they do they’re underdogs again in game two Scott they’re going to win this series bro I bet the Canucks to win this series in six games at 10 to one I’m just concerned right now that they might win in five well uh so I’m with you I’m rooting for him now they beat him every single time they played him this year including last night are and people said that didn’t matter well that’s the regular season it’s for well now I tweeted out last night after the game did this one matter I swear to God it’s SC Edmonton Oiler fans they’re going to be down three games to one in the series still doesn’t matter those three games didn’t mean anything at some point these games start to count why is it that um can you explain it to me uh Gabe the the Leafs and the Oilers how every year it’s like a passage of spring that they both fail so miserably it really is unbelievable to me with their talent like they have been favored the Oilers to win the Stanley Cup for like the whole season and that no one can beat him and then here they are uh getting beat up four to one that is a choke you know the Emon Oilers are they’re extremely talented team they’re a public team but people buy in too much to the Conor McDavid and the dry sidol stuff you know this you’ve been around hockey a long time you covered the NHL the NHL isn’t a sport that you can win with a couple of starts it just it sort of takes a a a chemistry the Oilers are a good team but let’s not kid ourselves the Oilers are a really good team they’re better than the Leafs are right they they have more grit they’ve won Playoff serieses before it’s not their fault that others make them the favorite all the time I mean come on bro the Vancouver Canucks won the division the Vancouver Canucks in in the same division as Edmonton were in so they they they they were they won the division Scott they went 4-0 against them this year in the regular season yet the emo others were minus 280 favorites and I just talked about it out of like um like 37 media personalities or whatever or 43 media types 41 of them picked the Oilers to win the series Pretty loow hanging fruit and they all said the same thing well because of Conor McDavid they’ve had Conor McDavid for a wild Scott have they ever made it to the Stanley Cup no Conor McDavid Conor McDavid good for him it’s like um it’s almost like the Kentucky Derby in that uh literally NBC had 20 experts there I mean A to Z and all 20 of them were swinging a Miss meanwhile the Prime Minister hit Mystic Dan no one on earth except the Prime Minister hit the race and everyone thinks Edmonton’s gonna win every game they play you know and they don’t and we they people bought in to the LA King stuff right like the Oilers and the Oilers listen they’re super impressive Scott they had a 16 game win streak in a regular season they were dominant bro like since they fired their coach they were like 43 and 15 or something like that and they won lowc scoring games against the LA Kings so people think oh my God if the Oilers are going to keep the puck out of the net they’re going to be unbeatable if they’ve learned to play defense the LA Kings are offensively challenged let’s just put it uh kindly all right so it’s easy to shut down the LA Kings from from an offensive perspective when we get back we’ll ask morenzi about the other series that other synergies the solar eclipse OJ Simpson car chase OJ Simpson D well who do they play in the 1994 Stanley Cup finals the Vancouver Canucks yeah the Vancouver Canucks and here we go I told people like last week I said you know 94 is going to happen all over again it’s going to be Vancouver and New York in the Stanley Cup finals and people kind of looked at me kind of sideways keep your eye on that but similar to the Knicks going to the Fieldhouse now I think the Pacers are going to find a way to get it done the Pacers and the Kane sort of similar situations they both played well but forever right I mean they grew up together they’ve been teammates forever they practiced against each other they’re good friends and I’ve noticed siakam’s trying to stay away from OG and and Obi like OG comes in seak forces a bad shot so that’s something to keep her eye on he’s he’s such an impactful basketball player so OG status to me is pretty critical there it’s going to be a fun series I think the Knicks end up prevailing when it’s all said and done but I think the paac are still some wins in them I don’t think he can play with that hamstring uh it’s that simple those things are the most nagging uh infuriating the recovery just takes forever for you have no chance against the Celtics either with OG and and Obi just if you win the series Point play so what about tonight in Boston again another Slaughter of the Cavs for the Celtics probably yeah you got to put yourself ask yourself Scott do you want to bet on the Cavaliers you willing to put 500 bucks on this like you know what think I’m going to take the Thunder again tonight I’m going to go with the moneyline parlay Boston and Oklahoma City I did it the other night I’ll do it again I’m with you do you think that Shay gilis uh or Luca deserve that mvp over Joker or no you can make a legitimate argument yes and I’m a big jokic guy so I’m not I would say Luca just because his numbers were so stupid right you know the the Robinson on the floor with all of those guys not on the floor two2 coming back for game five and I guarantee you the Knicks will be in trouble in game five at home at the Garden they were down 10 at the half last night with him having 28 okay he got injured in the second half they were in trouble with him and I agree with this they got every call they got every call in New York so they’re gonna get no calls in Indie and then game five to me is wide open that’s the series right there the Turners uh the game five I mean the Turner in the series this will turn the series on its head if Indie can win game five in New York is I think they’re winning both games in Indie now everyone I talked to says they’re going to uh come home 3-1 because they’re just going to go in there and win uh I am it was a mistake and we’re hoping it never happens again they will never change change any of the calls or the score of the game but what they will do is they will shaft the Knicks on Friday and Sunday like there’s no tomorrow they won’t get one call the entire time they’re in Indie except from their wives in their hotel room wondering what happened uh because they’re in uh deep water now because he has thrown a fit the whole small Market against the big Market nonsense but he’s got everyone’s attention uh and then not only that he showed highlights of literally everything he said they showed the highlights of the calls and they were he was right on every one of them like the heart shove on Halton was was like right was that not obvious I mean shoved him 12 feet across the timeline uh and Hart’s never guilty of anything he’s he’s uh he’s a you know every call you I didn’t do anything the Knicks are in so much trouble with the refs in Indie it’s going to be their worst nightmare with in Portuguese you their their physicality is re wed and and ours is penalized oh there you go 25,000 right there um you know it’s just I’m just really disappointed just really disappointed the all three of those guys hit home runs it is party time in the boogie down they are looking for a uh Clean 7-0 Sweep of the Astros this season they will have beaten them all seven times if they could
