Playing Golf at The Augusta National of Ireland!

Ever wanted to play Augusta National? Home to arguably the biggest golf tournament in the world, The Masters!

Opened in 2002 to much acclaim, the reputation of Druid’s Glen has only strengthened since its inception and was named European Golf Resort of the Year in 2005. In the years since the resort has continued to improve, with both the Druids Glen and Druids Heath courses maturing into spectacular layouts. However, the Druids Glen Course steals the show, the 4-time Irish Open host has been compared to Augusta National by many great golfers.

From the forest that once was home to the Druids, Pat Ruddy and Tom Craddock have created a masterpiece, featuring numerous spectacular holes. The most famous may be the 12th, a delightful downhill par-3 where golfers play over the now famous bank of flowers in the shape of a Celtic Cross, but this is but one hole in a course of classics.

we visited Augusta National and then flew to Ireland to see the golf course that’s dubbed the Augusta lookalike the the best par 3’s like best set of par 3’s you ever going see so I know if there’s going to be par freeze today in this challenge so I’ve just been like come on can we just not have shots on the par 3’s please yeah that’s absolutely fine no problem no worries for me do anything I will still win I’ll become that victorious I I perform well under pressure so we are at Druids Glen the Augusta of Ireland and that means for something surely the standard fantastic the conditioning fantastic and a design fantastic the azaleas around you’ve got the pristine white sand which definitely looks like the sand they use at Augusta you know it looks very very similar and just look at the course just really this is a golfers paradise you know like um you know that feeling that we had when we teed off at the first at the old course yeah I feel like it’s very similar one cuz I feel like I’m tearing off Augusta its saying 142 142 yeah not bad not bad at I’m nervous Oh my days no way no way yes get in I’m so happy you don’t have a shot get in I don’t need it look at that look at that I feel like you you just hit my ball he he just hit my ball I’m I’m this is I’m not having this I’m not having this right how do I follow that I don’t really know that’s a beautiful shot and three down has that going into the water surely surely nervous really not hard no no that’s not a bad line though yeah let’s a good shot Leo I mean yours brilliant do you know I had the line but it just got to roll a bit more the driver’s seat is yeah I just get this close and I should be okay your putting is on fire yeah I have to give it to you though it was a great shot in than you know I’m I’m bantering you about it I’m trying to get in your head but I am happy to see you play good golf what’s the line oh it’s a knee wobbler still it’s a knee this is interesting now knee wobble right for the half 444 yards par 4 and me and Ali were told that this is the best par 4 we’ll ever play that’s a very big statement that is a very big statement I love that like the hotel’s up there as well sitting above this hole it’s quite nice actually we’ll be there back we’ll be back there later yes we will this is incredible this hole I don’t know are you driver yeah think so let me just check the yardage let me just make sure on that the thing is is because it’s a slice as paradise and it’s like if I’m going to drive on any hole it should be this it’s 216 to the middle of a fairway all right with a cut yeah I’m going for it I know Ali’s thinking thank God he’s going for it we like to play with Leo because he hits driver anywhere left right send her down you’ve been hitting a draw today so yeah but what I’m I’m going to revert back to my old swing you’ll see that this will go very out and then in and you’ll see that it will slice like crazy I think that’s good it could be really good or just feet and I can’t really shove it right I just I’m not really sure what to do I might just hit and hope concede that’s what you should do pretty I could just I mean that’s more the most I can actually do it’s generally just fluff no go go go no it’s over so that’s your one you’ve got three four so you’re putting for bogey two for the hole and I feel like you deserve this hole can you just finish that’s what I’ve come that’s that’s the mentality I’ve got we’ve taken shot I don’t get a shot on this I didn’t get a shot on the the other PA three that we played today that’s only two shot uh but yeah fair play you’ve played well you’ve played above you’ve definitely played to about a single handicap I’m pretty sure in this you’ve been really good yeah how many yards is this do we know 11010 with our road trip when we went to k club incredible right and I was thinking to myself like K Club is is so good I don’t know what’s going to like compete with it Druid Glenn certainly not better but certainly not worse they’re both just so good like in their own right both really good Parkland courses and if I was to come to Ireland to do a road trip again or if I was watching this video and I wanted to go to Ireland honestly 100% play K Club 100% play Druid Glen and then really there’s so many links courses that we’ve played and also not played so I really want to like finish that I want to finish the road trip off and see what other links courses are available hit Druids Glenn the Augusta of Ireland just do it like just do it if you’re making your way over to ireland for a golf break
