Lord Warren himself joins us right now Hall of Fame promoter Frank Warren Frank we’re getting very excited about what is going to be an incredible event in two weeks time good evening fah good evening Frank good evening all good Spence G um very very excited as you say two weeks to go it’s it’s it’s um it’s uh it’s gone back it’s gone far gone pretty fast over the last since he got his cut but um look Tyson’s really ready for this he’s flown out today so he arrives there today so he finish off his camp and uh we’re going to get something special on the AC I’m convinced of that he’s in tremendous shape not just physically but both mentally as well and I I generally think we’re going to get a vintage performance from him and I believe he’ll bring the four Bells back did you speak to him today before he left no I spoke to him in the week um I spoke with uh one of the team Spencer who Spencer manager has gone out today so yeah everybody’s good he’s he’s in a really good place as I said and uh although he got that cut I think out of bad comes has come good because he’s had more or less backto back camps and he’s I say physically I’ve never seen him look so well yeah a lot of his even his critics I would say you know the likes of Tony Bello I was listening to him this week with with K FR I mean a lot of people within the sport are backing Alexander usk to win talking about him technically um you know my feelings I think Tyson Fury is the number one heavyweight in the world I I still think there’s going to be a really weird kg chess match and it could be I’ve gone for controversial draw which I don’t know will just play into the REM of things obviously you want Fury to beat you sick but um in your time in boxing I mean obviously um that Lennox Lewis savander Holyfield double head was an amazing moment in your time in the sport given the Saudi Arabian investment now given What’s happen happening all the time given the movement within the sport is this the biggest time ever yeah I I I I generally do think so I mean at the moment you know the big fights are being made it’s not just the big fights that everybody’s been waiting to see are being made it’s also the rest of the card I mean the they’re they’re they’re mega mega events and you got sort of the under card you know there’s lots of fights on there are like main events in their own right and investment and the way it’s got got everybody’s imagination and they say nothing I just think it’s a it’s a it’s a brilliant time for boxing I think boxing is in a really good place at the moment a very very good place it really is Frank you know we’ve waited since 1999 to get an Undisputed world heavyweight title fight and that’s how often they come around and this is a magnificent fight really is isn’t it what sort of um what sort of condition is um Tyson Fury in and what does he do in preparation you know now that he’s out there is is it just fact of ticking over yeah I think that’s it I mean what the worry was Spence was coming out of that other camp and and the fact he was in you know he was more or less at the end of his um training certainly was at the end of his sparring was that um after the cut that going straight in again um that he obviously didn’t have to lose a lose a lot of weight or anything because he he was in such condition was the fact that he would Peak too soon but he’s maintained uh you know’s he’s really worked hard on working towards becoming you know that he’s in his best Nick or his best condition on the 18th and uh now he’s you know he’s he’s he the hard work’s been done the next couple of weeks you know he’ll just get a climatized to the uh it’s quite hot out there at a moment although I know the fight’s indoors but it’ll be a climatized himself to the the conditions out there and also the time there three-hour time difference but um I I I’m honestly I just I just feel he’s going to put in a magn performance and and I generally do think that he will stop usk what is it you you say that is it going to be a k start is it going to be a boxing match to begin with is it going to be kind of brutal physical chess do you think he’s going to be the fury that fought Wilder the second time then and you feel he’s going to go after him and put it on him well I think even the first fight he had with wilder it was you know the fact was that you know back then he was he wasn’t his physical best he lost lost weight he still had weight to lose but he’s changed his style in the second fight he certainly did he went out there and he just put it on him he was he he just went to hunt him down and he did hunt him down and he stopped him he became the first person to do that um and I just and I feel he’ do the same thing here I just think that physically he’s he looks strong he’s big um they’re both great Fighters there’s no doubt about that they’re both undefeated um and the pedigree that usyk’s got going back to the Olympics you know to be in the probably the best um Cruiserweight of his generation since he went up to heavyweight which is about four years ago he’s undefeated heavyweight he’s climatized at heavyweight and but having said that I think he’s in with I think you know with usk he’s in with a guy who’s got better as as good of if not better boxing brain than him and I think he’s more powerful and I think he’s more stronger and I think he’s got more I think he’s got more chinks in his armor usyk and Tyson’s the guy to exploit that sure Frank I what he needs to do is go out there and impose his physical attributes doesn’t he he needs to go out there take the fight to Alexander Rusk and take that away from him because Tyson Fury is great at doing that isn’t he like as in like he’s got a great boxing IQ but he’s great at the physicalities and he knows what he’s got to do and I think that’s what that’s how he wins a fight he imposes himself early and takes that away from usk he also Frank what I think Fury does really well he knows how to adjust and that could be key in this fight asil well he’s very good good exploiting anybody’s anybody’s weaknesses I mean mentally and physically he’s very good at that but having said that I’m sure looking at his last fight usyk will think that there were some chinks in the armor in the fight he had against Nagano it wasn’t a great performance from tyon he did he did what he had to do to win but it wasn’t his best performance probably his worst performance I’ve seen him have as a professional but um you know this this this Tyson Fury is going in there I mean he’s he’s trained like a demon for this and he and he and he he he he really wants this as much as he says that you know it’s about winning not so much about the belts this for him is Legacy it’s a seriously you know it’s it’s a serious statement to make winning those four belts first time this century and nobody’s able to take that away from him he brings those four belts back to the UK no one’s ever done that seven belts remember Frank as we were laughing about up in morham it’s actually seven isn’t it well one thing’s for sure there’s no chance of his trous is falling down he’s look he’s he he’s he knows what he’s got in front of him and he’s and he’s relishing it he I he talks about this fight like it’s like it’s um like it’s his Destiny you know that this is what he’s what he’s worked for this is what it’s all about Frank if he can if he can throw on the cloak of in invincibility for victories over Alexander Rusk and we all want to see him in against Anthony Joshua does Tyson become one of the greatest heavyweights of all time if he pulls on that cloak as I say for two more uh or three more fights and and is Victorious over those Two Fellas well I’ve said many times you know he he you know he’s already beat the best heavyweight his generation in Klitschko basically in his backyard he then went to the states and the three fights against Wilder against who at that time up to the first fight had never or second fight I should say had never been defeated was a world champion for six years and statistically was the hardest punching heavyweight out there he beat him and I think that makes him the best heavyweight of his Generation by beating usk who who a lot of people Fancy by the way you you mentioned it’s it’s a lot of people including yourself you think this it could be a draw a lot I just think it’ll be controversial in kg Frank that’s the way I may be Pro completely wrong I’m not I don’t mean it’s a criticis I’m just saying that there is a division but by beating him there’s no doubt about it then that he is the best heavyweight of his generation and he and and he he goes up there of all the greats and you remember usk we you know we keep talking about the AJ fight we want to see it he’s beaten AJ on two occasions he’s beaten him twice so he’s fighting the guy who’s beaten AJ twice yeah it’s a fascinating fascinating fight Frank a couple of very quick questions before we let you go and enjoy a glass of wine to celebrate Your Arsenal winning 2-0 today of course the a great goal by deam rice I’m sure you’re having a glass celebrating that this evening was it 3-0 Spence told me it was two 3-0 sorry I do apologize sir um better beev and bival postponed we touched on it in the first section um you still go ahead with your contest against Eddie Hearn and and five amazing fights at all main events anywhere else in the world or on any other card um disappointment hearing that today that better be ever’s injured his knee yeah is a disappointment you know and that happens in boxing it’s the same as Tyson all them idiots who were saying Tyson it was it wasn’t happening and it was on purpose and that it happens and it’s happened it’s happened in quite a few fights over the last few years where you know the the where guys have have pulled out with injuries and what they’ve been postponed everyone’s everyone is really gutted where we are with this however and I mean this with the greatest respect because both of these both of the light heavyweights both of them gain defeated records both 20 and0 um we’re looking forward to it and but but everybody’s imagination been captured by the the 5v5 yeah they are good fights and uh these guys all train are training very hard for it so the show goes on it will go on and it’s a it’s a fantastic concept and it’ll be a very competitive night of boxing that Queensbury are going to win can I just ask um do you know a date very quickly cuz I got to ask you one other question do you know a date for for that postponed uh light heavyweight Undisputed fight or not not at the moment it depends you know when the when the we only heard about it late last night depends when you know when you know how how severe the injury is and because obviously he’s he’s he can’t Spar more or less he can’t run so he’s got to he stops training all together so that’s when he can resume training and we no doubt that that will be uh that will be be uh put on as soon as it can be put on because everybody wants to see that fight Frank ver very very quickly and we’re going to talk about your new signings in the next section and listen to nazim hammed who is in here in the week um saying really nice things about yourself and also um Spencer Oliver and obviously about his son um Adam Nassim hammed um Shel Cameron Nassim hammed um Adam Nassim hammed great additions to the stable this week yeah I mean you know it’s funny we got this you know with Shantel she’s I mean obviously she’s done everything that’s been N I think she’s in the top uh two or three fight women fighters in the world so she’s got a wealth of experience behind her and uh she’s signed with Queens re and we’re delighted with that and uh we’re going to give her the pathway for now you’re fighting for the mandatory she’s saying yeah you’re going to fight for those mandatories for yeah that’s where we want to we we’ll we’ll move Heaven and Earth to make that work you always do you always do and we you know and and uh and she say she’s you know we’re delighted she’s on with all of us and on the other sort of other end of the spectrum you got Young Adam who’s had one professional fight zero amateur fights he’s been in the gym for quite a few years training you get all the various reports that you you know you hear about him but but it’s a long journey for him he’s got big boots to to fill you know for’s Dad who’s a you know British boxing legend or World Boxing legended um and I I’ve I’ve got to got to temper everybody’s expectation levels at this stage of the game I’m not having him pushed I’m not going to and I made it very clear um more to his mom Alicia than NZ and I just said that you know you got to let us do what we what we what I think we’re good at doing which is to bring him through he’s got to gain experience he’s going to do that by training but more importantly by having having uh quite a few fights I don’t want to push him too much because he’s as I say he’s never he’s not had any amateur experience but get you know getting the fight so he he learns his craft and his trade so we can prepare him when he hopefully gets into a stage where he can fight for well titles i s if you can if you do if you do 20% of what your dad did you’ll be a really really good fighter so absolutely let’s see how we go with it but I’m really looking for he’s a really nice boy’s he’s a he’s a credit to to to Naz and Alicia and uh and and and he’s a welcome addition people are going to like him he’s a really nice nice young man Frank we’re going to let you go will you join us next week by the way when we begin our buildup a big buildup to Fury and USA because you’re packing
