Ludvig Aberg loses driver club head while finding green at Valero Texas Open | Golf Channel

check this out from earlier today he
started on 10 so this is the driveable
par 4 17th look at what happened to the
club
head but more amazingly is what the ball
did watch this this is
incredible a par for 299 yds that’ll be
an eagle putt upcoming for lud I don’t
know how the ball watch the it goes low
look at the club head fall just tumbling
down there it went like 50 yards it was
like he topped his Club unbelievable but
how do you make the kind of contact he
did and have the ball go where it did
when the club head’s fallen off little
Arie spin there without the club it
because of the lack of weight it didn’t
break somehow it came unscrewed it did
not break off and uh there’s the club
head they they picked it up for him he
was back talking to officials and
figuring out how he was going to get a
new club in the bag a new driver there’s
this caddy Joey scin kind of chatting it
over and then PGA Tour rules official
Mike Peterson would bring out a new
driver for
ludvig just a bizarre scenario meanwhile
he actually two puted he did not make
the eagle Putt and then the new driver
curred at 18 I mean you know he hasn’t
hit a lot of drives with this backup
driver so you kind of wonder where it’s
going to go and it misses those two guys
walking in the rough and ends up very a
very good spot that’s a good line down
the right side and he hit his second
shot onto the green at the par

Lovely Ludwig van
How painful it is to watch the PGA tour now.
I saw that earlier today
I had the same thing happen about 15 years ago, but the head snapped off and flew 40 yards down the cart path that was concrete. I was still able to reattach the head the following day, but with a few added scratches. Amazing that his drive still reached the par 4 green~! Shalom
“Came unscrewed”…
The fastener head broke.
