it’s going to be a Fiji home game
because uh Queensland probably be
cheering on Fiji as well um that rivalry

out the scrams women’s rugby supporters
that didn’t turn up to the tars game uh
and someone is pointing the finger back
at you and I uh you know we had

gotten into a fight during a rugby game
I’ll drink I’ll drink M you drink a lot

I’ve only had one and it was a massive
one it was like a all-in brawl rugby
league
though well depends not not just actual
fighting yeah there’s been a couple of
humdingers as one when I was the captain
first time I was Captain for stingrays
and my first game against rockampton
we’re having a trial and TR to fight
with some marry fell um but started
swinging
mate like I think Kingsley started it
there a bit of pisss and I
just um yeah I thre I didn’t look at
anyone y there’s a few in England man I
remember looking over and your brother’s
getting his someone’s holding him by his
afro down just upper cutting him and I
just come over best Superman punch
you’ve ever seen um oh mate yeah there’s
a few yeah I wish yeah yeah mine was
[ __ ] yeah I [ __ ] got
the worst one’s when you have to you
have to go to Judiciary and you see him
on there on the Monday
yeah yeah I did that I got suspended for
a year mine was watching the video back
I didn’t realize cuz I never watched a
video before the Judiciary and uh it
looks like I actually go get him Gat it
looks like I kicked someone in the head
cuz the camera was panning but he just
went on me as my leg hit him but someone
pushed me and my leg accidentally hit
him in the face so
yeah yeah yeah anyway
um feel how much white he had in his
head with my
chin so two down with two shots down
number three never have I ever faked an
injury to get yourself subbed off I’ve
drinking for this one M no I’ve never
done that I’m not a [ __ ] [ __ ] oh
mate yeah ese oh this was more when I
was a Winger rugby cuz you got to run a
lot and I was uh my fitness wasn’t catch
up so made up a few injuries to get
subbed off CU I was very tired m
uh never have I ever blamed someone
else oh missed the tackle and blamed
someone else on the team like blew up at
him yeah yeah yeah I got a good one here
2013 um Grand Final versus East
um Michael gun has ran the ball and he’s
sort of run right like he’s run
obviously at the gap between me and
Wombat AKA Nathan nickel and we’re sort
of like hit him together and sort of
Knocked each other off him and he scored
and we’re both on the ground like
looking at each other
going that was you that was
you and we lost that game it was
definitely one’s fault though yeah oh
yeah I’ll never blame anyone else cuz I
know it’s my fault um I just I just pull
my hand up one more set boys one more
set um sure okay get a bit sacer on the

uni and I was playing for brothers and
off the kickoff and he just run straight

was going backwards I was like

bumped me and I was just like so e after
and I was just running after him trying
to take his head off and he’s just
laughing and he’s just laughing oh [ __ ]
and then next one was Caleb timu he
tapped the ball off the kickoff and I
just flew in boom hitting really hard
same thing going

backward nothing worse like
get just like oh you can’t do anything
about it you just at least you’re not
[ __ ] massive I got bumped off by
someone not as big as me real
embarrassing as well like full joner run
over the top of me and just get up um it
was in Amsterdam
I’m the big import player everyone’s
scared and then allate just runs
straight up and he runs over the top I
think he a Turkish dude just ran over
the top like oh my gosh what the freak
mate shout out to YY on the on the
weekend Friday night off the tap ran out
the biggest deuce and they just went and
I was just like yes yes he’s getting it

my Rugby TV yeah yeah I’m drinking
technically uh you li you said or I said
I I do play tight head went to Portugal
time ever first time ever playing tight
in Portugal and uh
yeah worked out after a while yeah yeah

about not being injured in order to
play what does that mean like you you
got you’re injured and uh you lied about
it said it’s all good so you could play
oh yeah yeah I um CAU I um either caued
or popped my car against Sunny bank I
just really wanted to play against Sunny
Banks um back in the day and and I I
could run mate I could not run it was
horrible yeah I’m probably I’m the other
way I broke my nose and doctor and
everyone said it was good to go I was
like no no at least two more

instrumental in their win over the rats

lucky I didn’t put aive upset at number
two uh I’ve gone Club rugby but here in
Queensland Cohen Herbert uh from s from
souths he’s open side but he’s been the
former player in the competition he did
preseason with the rebels um I’m
guessing the rebels just didn’t have
enough money to keep him down there cuz
he’s by far Super Rugby standard um yeah
he just looks like a man amongst boys
down here at called cluband and at
number one uh no other way to say it but
he is him Hoskins tututu uh if there’s
any question on who’s going to be the
All Blacks number eight put just like
his caption said in his post put some
respect on my name or give me my flowers
um he is on on one I think uh he must
have hurt him really bad U missing out
on the All Blacks last season even
though he was the I think he led this
league in me me’s um game last year so
um mate no doubt about it this year
unless Razor’s playing up okay Raz yeah
okay uh black FS have named their
contracted players list in included a
number of bolters who uh didn’t really
start during the season for their
respected LP teams however they are guns
uh are there any super W players that
you feel that deserves a a look into the
W Squad um someone comes to name
straight away um is Caitlyn Hassel um I
think you in the
H um last she was in the wo environment
16 years old and um she set two tries up
over the weekend and I think that uh
she’s pretty well ready to play with
some big girls now I think so like to
see her in the squad and get some game
time coming for yeah I was going to have
her down on my list as well but uh nice
of you to uh shout her out uh I’ll go
with two of her other teammates uh Sky
Churchill who’s filled in open side and
at Blind Side um I think I think she’s
had an impressive uh season for the for
the tars this year and uh I think it’ll
do a world of good being in that wo
environment and lastly this is is one of
my favorite uh tar players uh she goes
unseen cuz she does all the the ugly
stuff she rolls her sleeves up and she’s
filled in a massive Gap when they lost
tekai was ruled out for the season um
and that’s I haven’t even mentioned her
name Britney Merlo um she’s played
hooker I think she scored two tries off
the back of the mall um but just around
the park um no you know No Nonsense none
of this pest work like like fin used to
at Hooker she just rolls her sleeves up
hits rocks gets up off the D line and
just chops so uh yeah I would like to
see I don’t even know if she’s Aussie
cuz I’m wondering why she didn’t make it
last year but yeah Britney mow nice and
uh over to the men’s Aussie team uh
we’re going to pick our our form right
now right now uh who our 9 10 12 combo

just think that there’s I think Gordon’s
so good in defense and I think he’s got
a boot on him and I don’t see
why why that we’ve gone away from more
of a ball playing 12 um Dan Carter ball
playing 12 10 you know
we’ve crazy thought I know but that’s
where I’m at yeah well you stole my line
like I had the same sort of mindset um
which uh yeah as you were talking I was
like sh shut up mate uh I’m going to cut

that but I’ve got to for a smoky number
nine um Kanani Thomas he’s had his first
start on the weekend but this is just
cuz I’ve watched every game of his uh
NPC uh when he played for ockland last
year and just some of these little
cameos Off the Bench this year I just
think including if you know him I don’t
really know him but you know people talk
here in Queensland and he’s got that
Manor inside of him he’s got that little
bit of uh C in him uh that we need need
and not the pretend one like he’s he’s
got it um and uh like when he first came
on the scene you know was very raw he’s
always had that uh ball running talent
but now he’s got that rugby RQ um
deciding whether to go short side or go
open side and uh or when to run uh I
think he broke the line once and almost
twice so that’s a 1.5 stat there uh if
you’re for people playing at home uh so
Kanani Thomas I feel like he needs to be
in that environment I know they got Tate
there but I said last week and I said
these three weeks when Tate’s out clly
Thomas is out to take his spot so um
yeah check the dep chart depth chart
depth chart uh in the coming weeks so I
think yeah depends if the coach wants to
uh shake things up a bit and actually
win the comp so if you’re listening kiss

let’s go bit of pack propaganda um and
at number 10 I’ve G Ben Donaldson um
I’ve been a fan of him and you know he’s
progressed well I think he started the
season off really well few of the tries
that I got uh were no no tries just CU
some of his players around him were
doing some stupid pulling back players
um but and on the weekend seeing him
with ctle Bill because I think ctly Bill
should be in and around that system I
think ktly has helped him a lot um and I
think he’s the best 10 rugby IQ wise
like looking up and when to take on the
line he actually takes on the line when
he should be and uh just getting those
even taking it to the line and feeding
the ball he gets smashed a lot but it’s
because he’s not scared to have a crack
and yeah fa like you said cter Gordon
I’ve always waved on about him being the
future I thought he was going to be 10
but I think his future is at 12 similar
to um Jordi Barrett Jordi Barrett is a
10 which I think I reckon Jordi Barrett
should be back at 10 now uh when he’s
getting a bit older but I think Carter
Gordon should be at 12 now um he
defensively he is the best 10 um and
probably one of the best if he did play
12 when when he did play 12 in that game
against Argentina um and he filled in at
12 he’s got the goods um so card G in at
12 so that’s my 910 combo if you’re

um now now through typical what’s a Ty
week look like for you guys um obviously
train training on nights and stuff like
that was a typical week leading into a
game look
like um so we usually train Monday
Wednesday Thursday but this week because
we’ve got a longer week we’re training
Monday Wednesday Friday um so it’s Wacky
Wednesday today our big contact day and
then we’ll have Captain run on Friday is
that why you’re um already in the sheds
before everyone else because it’s
contact Wednesday yeah look after the
old dog you know
and
um and um I know that we did bring it up
to the start um how cool was it to find
out what the actual number was um in the
whole history of the tars um how was
that emotion around that um I think it
was pretty cool we came into the I think
it was for our first game into the sheds
and they had all our names um above our
lockers with our cap number on which I
think was pretty cool and then yeah a
lot of Works going in behind um behind
that to to um I guess find out
everyone’s cap number and go back
through the history book so yeah pretty
special um’s actually joined us um for
some part of this interview
back jeez a lot goes on in the garage
when the bloody doors goes

off um and what what are you plan rugby
in the first place if we go a bit more
personal on you what what what got you
stting playing rugby um I hopped on the
band and that’s how I started
playing I was a touch py player and then
everyone was jumping ship to rugby so I
did too uh speaking of jumping ship I
want to get some insight on Annabelle
Cody uh how’s she been and how’s she fit
into the squad over
there uh it’s Annabelle’s Vibe she’s
always good to have around so I’m glad
she’s with us not running at her hone
and’s running at me running with
her and also horse she’s uh to clock up
um being the most CA Roar women’s player
of all time do you want to give her a
bit of love a bit of shout out she’s
always um trying to stitch up some of
you guys on um Instagram uh but you want
to give her a bit of a shout something
that she uh you probably never tell her
in real life um
horse she is the loudest person in the
room
always um but she also has the biggest
heart so big love to horsey shout out
horse if we not tongue and listen to to
that don’t we’re talking about horse
person not not actual horses and um
what’s this prediction how many points
you winning by is it going to be you’re
going to run away with it and you’re
going to be on the beer straight away or
it’s gonna be a tough game this weekend
I mean finals is always different so I
mean I would like a repeat of the round
game but that would be nice and be
straightaway but also be nice but I’d
say to win I’m not going to say by how
much but uh yeah and then on the old
Cruisers after the game nice sugar free
cruises yes sugar fre and also uh black
ferns just named their squad there’s a
few bolters that went into there um
contractor Squad uh are there any Young
Guns that haven’t got any waro caps that
you feel uh might be getting a shot in
that um Camp when he gets named young
Sammy wood from the West for I think
hopefully she might get a run possibly
get a call up um she’s performed really
well throughout the season so yeah
hopefully she gets a a little reward for
her really good season and I don’t know
if onside mentioned anything about rugby
league I know they like to poach all our
good players um have you got any calls
throughout the years CU since you’re
number one player uh in
Australia
well you know people come knocking but
rug my heart
yeah umal answer that very political
answer I like
it so that’s a yes everyone and um you
can pick the team that you thought that

and um also before we um you go back to
your normal life

teams I don’t know if you knew that but
um if you look at all the games every
Australian team’s playing every kwi team
so um a good little good little um
health check to see where strand Rugby’s
at I think yeah it’s actually good to
see where my heart lies looking at these
picks here right now so um let’s kick
things off on the Friday with the first
game over in Christ Church we have the
Crusaders up against the Crusaders are
massive favorites in this one who are
you picking Rebels I believe it or not I
think the rebels um they’ve got a hard
run home yeah but I think it’s just such
a tight competition I just I wasn’t
Crusaders were whilst the Force One
Crusaders [ __ ] last week I think and I
don’t can’t see how he could so I’m back
in the rebels yeah uh all the rugby
pundit shows on Sky they’ve um when
Rebels uh were in the top four at
halfway mark of the season they were all
saying nobody saw this coming hey hey I
saw this coming I had said number one
but hey put some respect on my name mate
U and I’m also backing the rebels um
they need to get some respect uh the
even The Bookies had them at what3 $350
or something um man that’s money to be
made maybe what about what about week
two when you went back to the Reds what
were we forgetting that is that just a
just ignore that Oney people that
podcast got tagen down no no that’s true
I went walk about and you know people
tend to go walking around but every time
you come back you’re at home so yeah
Rebels has always been my home and uh
yeah we’re going all the way let’s go um
game number two waras against the Chiefs
here in Sydney oh over there in Sydney
um who you backing um usually we go

hurricanes oh after last week’s
performance I think the bommies will be
better but they won’t be better than the
hurricanes hurricanes are going all the
way to the rebels in the final and lose
the final so yeah I’m back in the
Hurricanes um but yeah I just hope the
brumes find just find themselves again
because they got a bit lost on the
weekend Circle back to that one
okay and the over in Perth we’ve got
Highlanders um taking on the force who
do you
reckon um always a tough trip to the
force um and I I think they played well
last week but I still think I think
Highlanders have underperformed recently
so I’m going to go to the
Highlanders yeah um I’ve gone the force
just off last week’s form and their form
at home but after what looking at their
team the Highlanders team that they
named last week I was carrying on about
these players that were playing club I’m
guessing that they did something wrong
during the week uh a few weeks ago cuz
they’ve gone from club and then all of a
sudden they’re all starting um not even
coming off the bench so uh I don’t know
who’s got the Goss what’s going on over
there in Highlanders land or unless the
coach is just trying to trick him and
this is the only game they wanted to win
on tour but yeah uh I’m going with my
heart and going Force but if I’m a
betting man I’ll bet on the
Highlanders the Nan’s a pretty easy City
to get carried away in um in New Zealand
it’s probably the uh easily the best
nights out in Den so would not be
shocked if if something’s gone down um
bit of rby leg action it’s good to it’s
good to see it still stays behind closed
doors though yeah and it was the two the
it was R pel the Welshman and the big
duy that went from carrying on yeah and
the D is the captain of the squad so I
don’t know what’s going on running
around in cluband last week anyways and
the game of the round um and if you’re

blues will win this is kind of a must
win for the blues I think they need to
put a stamp on their season it’s a good
opportunity to do against the Reds yeah
oh I think they stamped their season
last week when they abs absolutely
embarrassed the brumes at Eden Park but
I’ve gone with my head on this one my
heart is with the blues um and but I’ve
gone with the the Reds I just think the
Reds at home um also me giving Kanani
Thomas um his flowers without him um
setting the world on fire I think he’s
going to set the world on fire this week
against his old uh NPC teammates and uh
yeah I think uh the reds are going to
scrape away with the win um yeah but if
I was a bet man I’ll better than Blues M
the two Wingers K Clark Off the Bench
and toet bloody going on one but yeah
make sure you get out to the game and uh

friends um poor old David henway um is
retired multiple times but uh he
actually did his Liz anank uh which is
apparently like doing the ACL in your
foot um so he’s had to go he went in on
Tuesday to get surgery spent eight hours
there then they told his foot was too
swollen but um yeah heard himself
playing second grade for Norse on the
weekend was actually meant to be sitting
on the bench for first grade has done
pre-season is away every second week um
just shows you how good of a player he
was and he always tells me to stop
telling people how good player he was
because he reckons he still is but um
yeah sh to Dave he’s pack pack Pathways
um and he played over us at AA rugby and
um yeah best of luck in surgery mate I
know you don’t listen but uh I’ll I’ll

um yeah very good rugby player and also
very good glassy back in his boundary
day so um mate all I’m saying is just
enjoy retirement mate just play on tour
um so um he played for every Club in
Brisbane hasn’t he I’m pretty sure he
