and speaking of the Wolves they send

to the line Smith blocks a shot and gets
into a straight race with grab speed
using his size Smith still has it for

goal Conor Smith extreme effort and the
black bears get the game’s first
goal oh my oh wow Conor Smith show them
all why you got a plaque to start this
game gets that puck doesn’t give up on
it keeps batting it batting it batting
it finally gets away from the defender
and he’s able to go inside out on the
goalie and put it right away look at it

do anything about that and the black
paars have an early one- nothing lead
Brooks and grasby actually won the skate
race to that loose Puck but Smith used
his size as the advantage was able to
get grasby off balance and made one move
past the
goenda takes a heavy hit into the far
corner on the top left corner of your
screen this line perhaps had the best
shift of the night even though they did
not score this third line for the black
bears unrelenting pressure in the third
period up in Watertown made life
extremely difficult for the Wolves to
get the puck out and on the next shift
the first line came out and were able to
score for the black bears yeah some of
the front office were calling it the
best line of the the best shift of the
Season Brooks yep absolutely Bobby gross

but held in by the Wolves at the line
Anderson up and ready to return Mercurio

it’s deflected in as Anderson makes his

box I think it’s Jacob Black the one
who’s down I don’t know if that puck
went off his stick or if it went off

air but we’ll have to see what the sign

but more concern for the wolf that’s

knocked in a loose Puck and think he was
midair and took a collision either with
the player or the post and slow to get

here I at first glance I thought it was
Jacob Black but it’s not it’s 71 for the
Wolves who’s getting back up on his feet

bears had a shut out last time game two
came here against the Wolves that’s okay
they just want to walk away with more
gold than the Watertown Squad does but
still a lot of hockey to play as you see

take a deep dive inside the tul Coach’s
Corner and this was the pregame
discussion with Coach Sher that was
meant to air pregame so again we apolog
ol for that but now that the first
period is over I think a lot of the
things that coach brand said ring true
after the opening 20 minutes so let’s go
ahead and hear from coach Sherwood
downstairs from the locker room
pregame here inside the tul Coach’s
Corner with head coach bran Sherwood and
Coach Sherwood come from behind Victory
last night it’s always tough to win a
playoff game but especially a tough on
the road and you guys with a little bit
of a slow start but seem to really find
your sea legs underneath you in the
second period and then from that point
on you guys didn’t look back yeah I uh
like you said I think we just need to
find our legs we uh we definitely look
slow we kind of looked a little shocked
to start which um you know all the
warnings were there about how hard of a
playoff game it was going to be up there
but um like this group does they they
don’t quit they they always come back
and you can never count these guys out
and um just shows their resiliency that
they’ve had all year you said that you
think your guys were shocked um with the
way that Watertown was able to start the
game was it something that obviously did
catch you off guard or you just catch
the guys off guard what was uh what do
you think the reasoning was for that hot
start I just think they were shocked
more so at the their own play like oh
like why isn’t this coming a little bit
easier type of deal um I I knew or I
think we all knew that they were going
to come out hard and flying and stuff
and I I think our first five minutes but
were pretty good but after that it was
just kind of like this lull of like
not wanting to skate the puck kind of
looking for someone else to skate the
puck and do the work when sometimes you
got to just take ownership and uh your
own game and get those first three hard
strides and to just get up the ice and
then draw a guy towards you but we just
look to give away the puck I think a
little too quickly what was the message
uh in between the first and second
period because you guys within the first
five minutes of the second period had
already tied the game up it was wake the
hell up um you guys are in a dog fight
and uh we need to recognize that but
also at the same time like I just said
like we need to find our legs we just
look slow and then uh honestly I think
the four on four helped just because we
like to play on a bigger ice surface and
it created a little bit more room and it
kind of gave us the the jump and
momentum that we needed it was backto
back goals freaking four on four which
uh helped us extremely well and that
kind of just got the mojo back in the
room what do you think uh is changing
tonight uh in the matchup if any changes
at
all a better start like basically this
whole conversation’s going we need to
have a good first five minutes we need
to have a good first period and uh feed
off the crowd and um just simply put we
need to play fast and physical right off
the bat I don’t think we were physical
enough uh last night I know like things
got chippy in the second period and
