what went into the decision um to to
come
back uh I just thought it might be
easier uh get the ball up and down this
morning um could you see very well last
night I saw okay I mean it got dark um
but yeah I could see okay an important
but yeah it was just it was you know
misting and and raining and um figured
if I gave myself a better chance of
getting it up and down this morning I
might as well last last night in the
Fairway you and Joey were kind of going
over that shot pretty good was that more
whether to hit it or just kind of what
Club to take in a little of both um I
really did want to finish last night and
so I felt like you know if I could get
the ball up there maybe in an easier
spot maybe I would have finished but um
as I got the ball up near the green I
realized it’ be easier to finish this
morning so that’s what I decided to do
just a bunch of lag putts this morning
uh I puted around for about 20 30
minutes and then came out here your
overall take away this week feel good
about where things are the direction
you’re going yeah played solid um you
know need to clean up a few things as
always um but headed into a week that I
really like New Orleans this week was
Xander and uh we’ve had some success
there so already looking forward to it
even as a guy trying to beat him is it
is it fun as a player to see what
Scotty’s doing
you know I’m just concerned with what
I’ve what I’ve got going on he’s
shooting um you know really low scores
seems like every week and um you know I
don’t think he’s playing next week and
I’ll have a partner
[Laughter]
so it’s probably hard to impress you
guys but how impressed are you by the
fact that he’s been able to do it week
after week yeah it’s very impressive um
you know he’s he’s played great for a
while now a number of years and it seems
like he is playing the best golf of his
life right
now what do you have coming up P after
New Orleans is that
just Well Fargo and PJ yeah is it almost
um you should be used to it by now I
guess but feel like the the majors are
coming up quick I mean got Masters just
send it a week ago and and we’re three
weeks away from the next one do you like
the the Cadence of it yeah we’ve been on
this schedule for a number of years now
seems like there’s uh you know a big
tournament every month starting in March
and um yeah I mean there’s between if
you count the FedEx Cup and the players
there’s you know a big tournament every
month and I think it’s just something
we’re used to by now I know but we’re
searching for questions obviously you
have um what is what would be your
history of
ohala I’ve never been there did you I
realize that you did you are you a kind
of guy that would watch Majors on TV
like did you watch in remember I I’ve
seen but I think I’ve seen the
tournament on TV I think Tiger Beat Bob
May there or right what were you eight
um
I yeah I had to be very little maybe
nine and um yeah I mean I’ve heard
they’ve done a lot of changes to the
golf course so looking forward to seeing
it for the first time I’ll probably take
a a scouting trip early and um yeah
looking forward to it what if you if you
did a scouting trip what would you would
it be like before you go over to
Charlotte type thing or some something
like that just either on the front end
or the back end of a tournament um
and yeah just learn in the golf course
so it’s not my first time going around
there the week of the
tournament my last question for you cuz
I was racist the other day but it’s
always I guess helpful to see a a major
course you’ve not seen before you get
there but you can also just do it that
week except during the week it’s usually
six hour slogs during those practice
rounds is there is there an ideal
formula I think the more times you can
see a place the better and you know the
weeks weeks of majors are really busy
and I think being fresh and having
energy she’s important too so you don’t
want to play too many holes that week
with 150 guys there so you know like I
said I’ll probably get up there and play
at least a round before the tournament
week starts that’s it Preston all right
