Well, we’re set for this fight.
And Briggs just got cleared earlier
today after the two broken ribs.
And you can see that area of his body,
though, is still taped,
it’s still damaged, it can’t be 100%.
>> Yeah, and he’s still laboring
right now, still no wincing and
pain from that-
>> My gosh.
>> Big shot, that’s gotta hurt.
>> Yeah, certainly, and
you can feel him looking,
I can see him feeling around on his ribs.
And I’m almost also
stunned that not at 100%,
he was able to hoist up Ivar,
plant him, followed up with a splash.
Briggs is certainly showing toughness
tonight, but just got splattered.
>> [APPLAUSE]
>> Right back to those inner grips,
right back to the midsection.
And now hoisting up,
Briggs able to land on his feet, connect,
create a little separation, time for
him to get at least one breath-
>> [CROSSTALK]
>> The air knocked out of the lungs,
all the pain on the ribs, on the
midsection as Ivar, for the second time,
sit-down Powerbomb style,
center of the ring, and it’s not enough.
[NOISE]
>> Whoa, whoa!
>> Ivar rolling through, Briggs charging
in Boss Man style, didn’t do it with
a swing or some style, and that might
be enough, and just another near fall.
And again, everything Briggs does,
from his power game to even lifting
up that right arm for a lariat,
it does damage to all of the injured ribs-
>> No, you gotta understand, Vic, I mean,
the ribs, that’s one thing,
with the cartilage,
that’s something totally different.
I mean, the worst injury I’ve ever had
in this business was a rib injury,
took about a year for it to heal.
>> Well, somehow able to, whoa,
not necessarily like Ivar,
this close to us,
as now Briggs coming out here as well.
>> Wait a minute, back it up.
>> This is a royal meet,
right over here by us, Book.
[NOISE]
>> The adrenaline factor right there,
kicking in.
>> And we know adrenaline
make men do crazy things.
And what’s Briggs thinking now?
>> Hold up.
>> Briggs, ooh, well, the one good
thing for Briggs as he kind of brought
his shoulder in so his ribs didn’t
take a brunt of the damage.
But now he just got knocked out,
depleted by that roundhouse kick.
>> [APPLAUSE]
>> And
the referee is up to seven, Ivar, Briggs.
>> No.
>> Booker, don’t look up.
>> Talking about broken ribs,
broken body, my God, man.
>> That’s the biggest
moonsault I’ve ever seen.
>> One two, three.
[SOUND]
[MUSIC]
>> Here is your winner.
>> Wow.
>> Ivar.
