Dean Burmester wins LIV Miami | Explains roller coaster of emotions over the last few holes
I don’t know if you saw Sergio made that
birdie right on the hole behind you and
kind of got ahead and you’re coming off
and you just finished in your mind were
you thinking okay like it’s kind of over
or were you thinking I got to go warm up
and get ready for maybe doing a playoff
you know I was I was a little
disappointed I I knew 18 was playing
tough um but yeah I was I was more
disappointed in my first effort um in
regulation play for PA that wasn’t my
best effort was it but I was probably
the way I knocked the next one in and
you know I played great all day I didn’t
make a bogey until that hole and you
know hung around and I heard Sergio made
a long P I mean I had a cameraman do you
want to know what Sergio did do you want
to know I said no I don’t want to know
what he did so you know just chipped it
out and but yeah I I went to the pting
green my teammates that’s where it’s
super special that’s what makes this
special is Brandon and Char and Lou are
like it’s not over yet he’s hit it to
like 60 feet it’s not over yet go hit
some pots so yeah I just went with my
family and we all walked down onto the
putting green and I hit a couple putts
and and then obviously he missed it and
it was like a little sense of calm kind
of came over me and I was I was really
get business done it was cool did you
have any nerves stepping onto the tea
box for the first hole of the playoff I
mean yeah there I was probably more
nervous picking the coin I didn’t want
to go first I wanted to see what he did
so I picked Ry and and yeah I mean
played enough match play to know that if
he hits it in the Fairway I’ve got to
hit in the Fairway but yeah I was I was
pretty calm surprisingly I mean I genely
get nervous I was still nervous but for
me that was about as calm as I’m ever
going to get yet
