what’s up I was a basketball player and
became analyst uhhuh you were a
basketball player and became a music
artist mhm what got you into music see
these are the topics that I love what
what made you bring this up today I had
a lot of free time all right all right
all right what got me into music I I by
the way what is that velvet it’s velvet
baby it’s feeling good too it’s nice and
warm here it’s nice you know work casual

ahead um I started off you know I grew
up around music with Mom doing Broadway
I got into music officially working
after I left Manhattan College and uh I
began writing producing most of the
stuff I do is in the background I’ve
worked with a lot of artists that you
guys may know but I’m in a season right
now where I’m working on my own project
I have a lot of friends that are
involved uh my friend Lonnie Walker out
of Atlantic City has been doing a lot of
work with me and um just getting the
project right uh Camp St Luke it’s a lot
of names that I can shout out everybody
always want to shout out the artists
that’s that’s the big people that they
work with but a lot of my friends I look
at them and admire them for uh just
their musical ability so I don’t know I
forget the question that you asked
that’s great the behind the scen folks
that finally get some recognition yeah
acknowledgement which is essential to
the success of some of the dynamic
people that we know on a first name
basis other people don’t get enough
credit yeah we will we will hear some of

Russell he recently broke the team
record for three three-pointers in a
single season is d’o Russell one of the
greatest Shooters of all time with all
due respect stop it huh stop it come on
no he’s an outstanding basketball player
an elite offensive weapon out of the
pick and roll shot maker great size
great vision have an outstanding year is
he one of the greatest shooters ever
absolutely not and I say that
respectfully I say that with all due
respect are you kidding me to even pose
that as a question I need to I need to I
need you know the great that I play with
that that first name bases that’s
alltime great shooters that can get in
that special room yeah but we done with
the ’90s we done with the 9s we not
messing with y’all no more you haven’t
seen the trends when did you turn FR
what do you mean we huh what do you mean
we it let me ask you this is cuz cuz
y’all disrespect our players is d’angel
Russell around the same Helm of like a
Nick Van XEL in your time Nick Van XEL
is a great player he’s not one of the
great Shooters in the history of this no
I’m saying just are they comparable as
far as players okay sure okay I just
wanted know I’m just trying to get a get
a get a barometer of where you think
y’all players were as in comparison Nick
would be a max player today he’d be a
max player be a max player scoring 20
plus points per come on man how many max
players will we have then we have a
bunch no he going to be a max player
averaging over 20 points per game you
said 25 way to come back I said avering
over 20 points you must have heard me
wrong all I’m I’m a truth teller all
right he’s an outstanding player I have
an outstanding year I like him a lot
he’s an explosive offensive weapon do
you know the let me tell you Reggie
Miller Dell Ellis Dell Curry Eddie
Johnson Chris Mullen this just guys that
I played with he’s not in that class of
a shooter no I don’t think he’s and I I
can keep on going guys that I played
against so I’m I’m respectfully saying I
love him as a player but he is not one
of the greatest Shooters has ever lived
when when you talk about alltime great
guys who can heat up and become a
Unstoppable force on the court I think
DLo is in that conversation as far as
guys who just
why are you making that face when you
say why you making that I don’t know I
don’t know if you understand when you
say all time that means all time yeah
how many people are you putting in that
discussion I’m talking about dudes that
that get like a Lou Williams okay yes
Michael Jordan is a better score is he
in Lou Williams class is he in Jamal
Crawford’s
class as far as catching heat and
turning into another level of player yes
he’s not on on their level as far as
players possibly but as far as catching
heat and just being wow this dude is
hitting everything that he throws up
he’s on alltime great level with that
you know I saw you catchy and I can say
the same thing about you hum humbly I’m
not on that same
level I’m glad you real it I out there
yeah no no no humbly I got to submit I’m
not on that level but with all due
respect I appreciate that answer with
all due respect I say no respectfully

player it’s no secret that the Celtics
are the team to beat in the East they’ve
been playing Amazing right what I want
to know is with all due respect will the
Celtics just blow through the East and
get to the finals again with all due
respect the answer is no and I’m
respecting the Eastern Conference and
the teams that they would have to battle
when You Face uh Docker is Led Giannis
and Dame Lillet LED Milwaukee Buck team
that’s getting healthier as playing
better dangerous team if Joel MB comes
back healthy and fresh a dangerous team
for anybody way the New York Knicks are
playing Cleveland Cavaliers get healthy
play more consistent that young Orlando
Magic basketball team talented don’t
know any better is a dangerous out I
believe that it’s wide open even though
the Boston Celtics are the clear
favorite but they’re not I’m not going
to sit here and tell you they blowing
away everybody in the Eastern Conference
be fair be unfair to the competition and
the elite talent that they have across
the board so my answer is respectfully
no with all due respect to all the teams
that you named cuz you just showed a
Love Tour across the whole Eastern
Conference the Celtics are by far the
best team in the East and it’s not close
in a seven game series who’s who’s
making me shake if I’m if I’m the
Celtics you know what I love about you
you changed the you changed the frame of
the question it’s not are they the
favorite are they above and beyond the
rest of the Eastern Conference is are we
sure that they’re going to blow away the
rest of the teams in the Eastern
Conference and moonwalk their way to the
NBA finals my answer is no I’m I’m not
so sure that I love them as a basketball
team they have the best identity and
culture even I didn’t even mention Miami
Heat that’s a dangerous team so they can
be beaten in the playoffs in Eastern
Conference but the Boston Celtics are
the favorite so I answer that
respectfully what can what concerns you
about the Celtics because when I look at
them I look at them as a team with every
single checked even experienc now what
what makes you say like they can be beat
history I’ve seen great teams and great
individuals get beat I’ve been on teams
that were better than teams that beat us
get hot at the right time get an injury
to the wrong person get cold as a
shooter things ain’t falling your way
get a little frustrated and doubting
yourself mentally so anything can happen
they are the favorite but they can be
beaten and I think that’s across the
board Eastern Conference and western
conference with all due respect I can
appreciate that I’m glad I’m glad all
right we got our guy chy bips man coach
chony bips he started five rookies
recently in Portland with all due
respect is this an acceptable move with
all due respect absolutely that’s Chanty
bips Chanty bips who is a finalist for
the Basketball Hall of Fame five-time
Allstar NBA champ finals MVP and he’s
doing an outstanding job developing a
culture with that Portland Trailblazer
team starting five rookies I’ll tell you
a story about me I was coaching the
Golden State Warriors we were a six seed
in the NBA playoffs playing against the
number three seed Denver Nuggets team I
started three rookies one second-year
player and a young Steph Curry and we W
up beating the 3C Denver Nuggets in the
playoffs and advancing Chanty bips has
done an outstanding job maturing that
young Talent getting them to compete on
a nightly basis they overmatched night
in and night out talent-wise but they
are establishing a culture and habits at
a sustainable moving forward I think the
future is awfully bright and I think
that chy bus is do an outstanding job
coaching that Portland Trailblazer team
yeah it’s bigger than their win and loss
record this season what he’s doing and I
agree with you I think that experience
is um so valuable for those young
players and the chance for them to get
minutes on the court and even free reign
to not have the pressure of okay this is
playoff basketall or we’re aiming for
something um just the ability for
players to to get to the root of
basketball and go out there and have fun
and enjoy learning and enjoy each
other’s teamwork and presence and it’s
not fun losing but this is when you
begin to establish a culture and who’s a
keeper and who do you got who you have
to get rid of I remember my first year
with the Golden State Warriors was a
lockout shorten season we won 23 games
but what it allowed me to do is realize
who had winning habits who had bad
habits who was about winning
who was about themselves and get rid of
those guys and I think this is fine
tuning time for Chanty bips and and I
think you also identify the veterans
that establish a culture and Echo what
you’re saying on the bus on the plane on
the locker room Golden State Warriors
are not the Golden State Warriors we
know today it wasn’t for guys like
Jermaine O’Neal Jared Jack Richard
Jefferson is Smith Andre Gala guys that
don’t get enough credit call Landry
don’t get enough credit but held guys
accountable and that room and taught
them until they grabbed the Paton and
ran on their own did you ever have
anybody that needed to to hold you
accountable as a young player or kind of
keep you in check I I’ve seen the
pictures of you when you was young I
se I had no issues as far as having to
be kept in check uhhuh well one thing
happened you know one thing that I just
thought about because my first year we
were on regular flights so we didn’t we
didn’t have our private planes after the
um after games fly out so we basically
would play a game spend a night in that
City get up early in the morning get on
the first flight they buy as many first
class seats as possible and we’d go by
seniority so here I am on my way to
winning rookie of the year and I’m upset
because there’s only six first class
seats now I played 47 minutes the night
before and me with my young foolish
arrogant self at thinking one of those
first class seats is mine regardless of
seniority I know I’m a rookie but I
earned that seat so I’m looking in this
dude I’m not going to say his name Carri
Scurry um and and and he’s sitting in in
first class and he’s like the nth or
10th 10th dude great dude but that’s my
seat yeah so I’m sitting there I’m like
yo I need to sit down man I played 47
minutes coach patino called me in the
office it was like don’t you ever do
that again check me and me and I and you
know when you know you’re wrong like I I
knew I was wrong I was out of line yeah
and I I I realized cuz you can get
fooled into realizing if a year ago if
you said to me you’re going to be on the
New York Knicks playing in madis Square
Garden on your way to winning a rookie
of the year and breaking records but the
only thing you got to do is sit in the
back of the plane I’ll be like give me
give me 37a it don’t matter give
whatever you whatever seat you got to
give me there no but you can lose sight
of when you’re when you’re rolling and
things are going well Lose Yourself so
that’s the one time that I remember
getting checked and rightfully so shout
out my guy
Scurry I still want that first class
seat though don’t do
Twisted in all honesty the way that your
swag is sometimes I wouldn’t have given
my seat up either no no no no sir you
should be able to give the seat up you
should that’s like if I got 18 years or
or 10 years and Pat y got five years I’m
giving a seat to Patrick Yuan yeah but
you that’s true but you’re
different if a dude has spent 15 years
with the Knicks and he’s sitting there
like this is my seat now I’ve earned
this right to sit here and here come
Mark Jackson like yo I just had I’m
rookie of the year or move that’s that’s
kind of crazy you’re right he was only
there a couple of months oh that’s but
he was in the league seat man get to the
what I’m talking about what I’m talking
about let Jack sit down
man no actually I I know I got it from
you cuz when I got to Louisville they
tried to have me uh as a underclassman
pick up the bags like for the for the
upper classman when we would go in I
couldn’t do it I couldn’t do it man
don’t put that on me I couldn’t do it
that’s not me I got it from you no you
didn’t get that for me if I had rookie
chores and rookie duties I I I did them
no I’ll do the rookie chores but we have
class together like you’re one year
older than me why am I carrying your
bags around no that’s no that’s I’m not
cosigning that what no carry the bags do
your job and next year you take the
freshman and you do the same thing to
them nah man I’m not I didn’t make the
Freshman carry my bags I was like nah
bro you don’t got to do that and they
rocked with me for that that’s that was
your your preference you decided to let
them off the hook and let them live
especially if you can’t cook me I’m not
carrying your bag see you got a problem
no no seriously you you told my M swag
you got a problem if you can’t cook me
it has nothing it’s responsibilities and
yours I’m doing the responsibilities you
know the history of that it it goes way
further than your your one two years
it’s it’s 100 years old yeah we got to
stop all that that’s why what this Hazen
no it’s not Hazen I’m not Goose Hazen no

responsibilities bring my Donuts like I
told you you you didn’t have the
attitude the first episode when I said I

respect I forget what the what the

Westbrook is returning and it’s a lot of
people saying that it doesn’t matter
with all do respect does it matter that
Westbrook is coming back in the in the
with all due respect I say yes and I
hedge my bet by saying yes with all due
respect because Russell Westbrook
increases the volume and he holds guys
accountable and he plays with such
tenacity that is contagious throughout
the rest of the lineup I hedge my bet
because I don’t like the way the
Clippers are hot and cold they’re good
enough to win it all and they’re bad
enough to be eliminated in the first
round I don’t know which Los Angeles
Clipper team I’m watching night in and
night out and that’s a dangerous place
to be when I can look at a team where
James Harden brings the ball up the
court breaks a guy down kicks it into
the corner to Qui lard wide open and
then James Harden as his teammate closes
out to the corner jumps and contests The
Shot again I go back to my saying do not
accept in winning what you would not
accept in losing if that was the Detroit
Pistons we would be like that’s a clown
show that’s unacceptable that’s why
they’re losing so why since it’s the
Clippers and a future Hall of Famer are
we just co-signing it and thinking is
acceptable behavior that’s not winning
behavior and that’s not a winning
culture and from top to bottom that
should have been addressed and handled
so that it doesn’t happen again but
that’s my concern with the Los Angeles
Clippers and I think it has nothing to
do with Russell West they will welcome
him back they’ll be be a better more
dangerous team with him in the lineup
but with all due respect they have to
get rid of the unprofessional stuff that
goes on night in and night out I didn’t
think that was that big of a deal man
let I got to stand up for James man it
wasn’t that big of a deal The Narrative
was nasty because it’s James Harden but
if Steph Curry did that same thing
closing out the Klay Thompson we’d be
laughing and like ah this is the
greatest thing I’ve ever seen but
because it’s James Harden it’s like oh
he’s a clown perception is a lot of
times reality for people and because we
perceive James Harden in a certain way
we look at him under a microscope and we
say wow he’s playing around or he’s
joking and yeah it is it is a little bit
uh clownish a little bit but in his
explanation he said I’m trying to bring
joy to our team I’m trying to break the
monotony this is approaching the end of
the season so to me I’m looking at it
like y he having fun and if kawhai would
have hit the three then we would have
all been on his jockstrap you know you
know give me my
camera I’mma tell you if I was coaching
James Harden I would understand
everything that blue just finished
saying but you want to bring me joy that
loose ball hit the deck die for that
loose ball take that charge get in
position to get that long rebound take
the hard foul and don’t give up easy
baskets those things will not only bring
me joy but I’ll go so far as it it will
give me that little tear crease of my
eye so that’s the mentality I need you
to have that mentality becomes
contagious but blue is cosigning is
losing behavior and if you are the James
Harden and I know you are catch you by
yourself and we have a discussion about
it you know it was wrong and you know it
was out of line give me my camera this
is for James Harden bro turn up and have

contesting out and said I’m just trying
to make it light in the locker room
would it be acceptable no but you’re
going to players that are not solidified
if if Steph did it it would be
acceptable we would all laugh at it I I
would laugh i’ laugh but I’d also say it
was clownish you may not laugh but the
majority of people would be under the
comment sections like this is hilarious

hater I laughed at James Harden doing it
but I still say it’s clownish

and he’s continuing to be a force in the
league but the Spurs record is not
really reflecting how much his game is
is continuing to grow they have another
high draft pick coming up with all due
respect will the Spurs be a playoff
threat next year two years from now
three years from now will they will they
ever be a contender wow with all the
respect you watch him out yes we talking
about a generational Talent we talking
about a team that has found their
franchise player we talking about a team
that has a history of putting co-stars
around that that star we talking about a
team that drafts well signs free agents
an extremely well coach he is a home run
hitter in the middle of a lineup they
are finding young players to put around
him they will find a point guard to
complement what he does I believe the
Spurs make the playoffs next year and
they build towards something special for
a long time to come he is that great of
a talent and the future is awfully
bright So my answer is with all due
respect absolutely yes it just so
happens that I dis I promise I’m not
disagreeing with you on these with these
on purpose but it’s just what happens I
disagree with all of your all of your
takes today no they’re not going be in
the playoffs next year unless they get
another Superstar to join wmy it’s just
going to be wmy by himself just like we
watched DNE by himself in Portland it’s
G to be nice but it’s GNA be tough man
we didn’t watch DNE by himself all those
years in Portland he was struggling he
didn’t have enough help he had a
LaMarcus Aldridge early on he had a CJ
McCullum he he he he had Talent last
year he had Anthony Simons he had Jeremy
Grant he had Talent so I think you don’t
necessarily need around a superstar
especially a generational Talent you
don’t need another Superstar you need
some solid role players and and in a
star here or there that compliments them
I don’t think they compliment them all
the way because quite honestly I’m not
sure they knew exactly what they had and
all the tools that he brought to the
table and in a shocking fashion he has
answered that and responded emphatically
so the future’s bright as far as I’m
concerned sorry to put you on the spot
but is Trey young a superstar he’s a saw
okay and he’s a he’s a he’s a game
changer if the Spurs were to get him
because of his ability to shoot score
and facilitate and make life easier for
for wimy he’d had you know8 to 10 points
on wimy scoring just by his presence
alone now that to me okay maybe not a
superstar but a star like if Trey young
joins the Spurs then yeah they can make
the playoffs next year but to me that’s
a big what if who knows so with all due
respect we just gota wait and see you
know what I like about that so you don’t
disagree with everything I’ve said thus
far no I disag you just head your bet a
little bit only a little bit that that
means you don’t
disagree I’m just saying all right I’m
with you on that one I’m with you I’m
with you staying on the Spurs how many
how many more years we’ve watched pop
coach now what seems like forever my
whole life I’ve watched pop coach how
many more years does Greg papovich have
kosing in the league we all Liv in dayto
day what type of answer is that that’s
dark no no no no no no don’t get it
twisted we’re all living dayto day and I
I believe that pop you think about it 75
years old he’s going to coach as long as
he wants and I think that having wimy as
a franchise Talent only enhances his
ability to coach moving forward the
game’s still fun the game is still fun
for him he’s he’s he’s still one of the
brightest Minds in all of sports not
just basketball and uh I see him
coaching until he gets tired of it but
he has put that organization in a fine
Place moving forward and I I think the
game is going to miss him when that time
comes hopefully it’s not not too soon
yeah he’s as long as he can still get
into that building and sit down on that
seat he should be able to coach just the
Brilliance of of his basketball mind and
he’s you know he’s assembled a great
staff top to bottom so I I I think he
coaches as long as
physically and and the fun part of it is
still exciting as long as he wants and I
think he’s earned the right from from a
San Antonio’s perspective not from the
rest of the country from San Antonio
perspective to say when I agree I agree

team 150 points you’re not serious about
advancing if you don’t take defense
defending at a high level I’m not and
and it’s tough in today’s world shutting
people down but 150 points they scored I
believe 40 in two quarters and then 34
and 36 something like that that’s
inexcusable and if you’re serious about
winning like I believe that the Indian
Paces have a legitimate chance of
advancing in the playoffs if they were
committed on the defensive end it
doesn’t happen once a week when you say
we shut them down we held them to 100
points yeah yeah yeah and then the next
three days you give up 120 no you take
it serious night in and night out and
you hold guys accountable and you give
yourself a chance of not only winning
but winning big so with all due respect
the jury’s still out with all due
respect I agree with you but the jury’s
still out on a lot of the teams on in
the Eastern Conference so if if I’m the
Pacers and I’m running into the Bucks
the Celtics the Cavs the Knicks some of
those teams on a given night are not
playing defense either so I agree that

that you played in can you recall or

like his his birthday was like two days
cuz just the lightting moved Happy
Birthday happy Birthday Chris Bosch um
yeah uh where is he on your alltime
power forwards list because he don’t get
enough credit he’s a Hall of Famer and I
think he deserves a lot of credit what
he did in Toronto and then when he took
a secondary role with the Miami Heat I
was watching recently Udonis Haslam guy
whose numbers up in the rafters for the
Miami Heat and a legendary Heat player
he said he was on those Miami Heat teams
that won the championship he said LeBron
James was the best player on that team
but he said Chris Bosch was the most
important player during that run and I
understand what he was saying and that
says a lot about the impact of Chris
Posh has on winning and the things he
does on a nightly basis how people in in
the Foxhole with him appreciate it
watching up close so happy birthday to
Chris Bosch welld deserved shout out one
