When I leave the house , I stand looking at my keys for quite a while to make sure Ive got them and when Im quite sure Im still scared to shut the door. Recently I left with my neighbours , one , spare key instead of my own large bunch. so Now I have to check that the keys are the right keys.
One trick for the toilet roll: If you use the last sheets, take the very last one, rip a little hole in the middle and pull it over the door knob. Next time you go, you know.
I have a phone case with a strap like a purse and has a wallet attached and I hook my keys to it. I never will forget the entire thing. Maybe that will work for you or someone
I have installed new doors to my flat, that can´t be closed from the outside from the key and I have a spare key from the house in both of the bags I use. Still there are three people who´s got spare keys. And yeah I always have like 2 big packages of toilet paper and tissues. It´s a struggle to live by your own.
😂😂😂 yep the dilemmas…one of the ideas around keys ( if you've not got neigbours to rely on) is to have a outside box like one of those metal letter boxes with a spare key a plastic bag ( so it doesn't rust) inside the box and then have a key for the box in another place in the garden…you can always pop a sticker or drawing on the metal box for prompt…so many crisis points 😂😂
I love this. Your videos are a godsend, they are so helpful & supportive and stop me feeling like a completely useless weirdo. I hope Richard enjoyed his golf and hope you found some loo roll 😊
One of the advantages of being the child of a single mother (+2 jobs). I had to function. Even though I am the third child of 4, both my siblings had depression in childhood (because of our father) and I had to do a lot of things. I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 5 (22 years ago + I'm a girl). Kisses to my mother for wanting to know what was wrong with me and how to deal with me, apart from the stress.
Don't know if you've talked about it before, but I recently found out that not missing people is a common trait of adhd. It was really eye-opening for me and I was wondering if you could talk about that/have any experience with it? ❤
Don't foget the intention to clean the house to surprise them because we crave the validation but we're to busy imagining to end we can't even start and none of the cleaning has been done so when they come home u feel terrible even though they don't really care 😅
Lol. The toilet paper thing never happens to me because I always have extras of everything "just in case". Pretty sure I have like 20 toothbrushes in my Backstock. 😂
Um, I've read your books and love them. But you seem to constantly be implying we need the muggles (nuro-typicals) to take care of us. ADHD isn't a blessing or a curse. Right?
Ok literally went to Queenstown for a holiday with some friends, went for a walk one avo got so lost i had to call my neurotypical husband to help me get back to the hotel after 3 hours of hard walking…
At that point I’d just leave my phone off No but like, have a sheet, laminated, with info on it in each room with relevant info on it. As part of your trip planning leave them pinned to each wall. You need time away to recharge and she does have a disability, you need to care for you as well.
If she’s that disabled that she can’t be alone she needs a caretaker idk

You two really need to get a grip and stop making ADHD your entire personality.
